The DMSwitch 4000 series is a complete line of carrier-class Metro Ethernet switches. The DMSwitch 4008, 4004 and 4001 deliver reliable high-capacity Layer 2, Layer 3 and MPLS networks for service providers and large corporations alike. The DMSwitch 4000 series supports up to 16 10-Gigabit ports or up to 192 Gigabit ports, or any combination. All Interface Modules are fully interoperable among the 3 components of the series and enable customers to deploy services as they grow. Developed with reliability and robustness in mind the DMSwitch 4000 series has a non-blocking wire-speed, switching architecture supporting up to 384 Gbps switch fabric and hardware-based routing for IPv4, IPv6 and MPLS switching, acting as LSR and LER on MPLS/IP networks. The DMSwitch 4000 series is the answer for transport and delivery of present and future HSI-High Speed Internet services demanding over 8 Mbps per customer, IPTV and Video-on-Demand. The DM 880 platform is a state-of-art, carrier-class MSPP-Multi-Service Provisioning Platform, scalable from Nx64 Kbps to E1/E3 and STM-1 up to STM-64. The DM 880/881 supports the latest Ethernetover-SDH standards, VCAT and GFP, enabling FE and GbE connectivity at flexible data rates in addition to carrier-class SLA and QoS. The DM 880 provides extensive protection mechanisms such as EPS for E1/E3 port-protection and MSP, SNCP and/or MS-SPRing (2 and 4-fibers) for STM-1/4/16/64 ports and paths. All STM interfaces are provided with SFP/XFP slots enabling each individual port to have a different configuration with a wide variety of optical wave-lengths, connectors and available ranges. With additional optical boosters and amplifiers available, the DM 880 is able to reach ranges well beyond hundreds of kilometers and with optional DWDM and CWDM interfaces available, the platform is easily connected to an “all-optical” backbone. Telco 50/64 Adapter - Cost-Effective NxE1/FXS/FXO Connectivity Solution The Telco 50/64 adapter allows IERU’s SDH/PDH operators and users to save both space and costs. The Telco 50/64 adapters connect directly to the DM STM-1, the DM 705SUB and the DM 880/881 platforms and provide fixation for E1 and FXS/FXO voice ports. The utilization of Telco Adapters enable IERU customers to save rack space and to better organize the cabling in its NOCs-Network Operation centers.
SFP/XFP - Small Form-Factor Pluggable modules IERU offers a very wide range of SFP and XFP modules for its platforms. (See Annex 1 for full list). The implementation of SFP/XFP slots on IERU’s optical modules and products allows the operator to add/choose the fiber type and range needed according to each connection requirement. The utilization of IERU-certified SFP and XFP modules is highly recommended.
RB-02/03/04/09 - 19” Patch Panels Patch panels are essential for space-saving and cabling connectivity organization. IERU offers patch panels for E1 ports (Coax or RJ45 connectors), for E1 baluns and for DB25 serial connectors.
Baluns - E1 Impedance Converter, 75 Ohm to 120 Ohm Available as stand-alone converters or as modular patch panels supporting up to 16 conversions, IERU Baluns are carrier-class, robust and proven devices. The balun consists of a small board with 2 connectors: one BNC female 75 Ohm and one RJ 45 connector 120 Ohm. The balun converts E1 (G.703, 2048 Kbps) signal impedance, and provides additional galvanic protection for the E1 circuit via internal circuit. Baluns are widely utilized by VoIP users, wireless and cellular infrastructure and services providers.
