Product Description: The PRE-XFPM-20 fiber optic transceiver provides a quick and reliable interface for 10Gbps applications with digital diagnostics monitoring. The transceivers are compliant with the XFP Multi-Source Agreement and the diagnostics functions described in the MSA are provided via standard I2C serial interface. The modules are designed to support, 10G Ethernet and 10G Fiber Channel data rates. Each transceiver operates with a 1310nm Distributed Feed Back laser for up to 20km over a single mode fiber. The transceivers connect to a 30 pad XFP connectors hot plug capability. The receiver features an InGaAs/InP PIN photodiode and a transimpedance amplifier IC optimized for high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. The transmitter and receiver DATA interfaces are AC coupled Current Mode Logic (CML). LV-TTL Transmitter Disable control input and Loss of Signal output interfaces are also provided. Transceivers operate from a +3.3V power supply. The modules have an operating case temperature ranging from -5°C to +70°C for Commercial, -5°C to +85°C for Extended, and -40°C to +85°C for industrial.
