The ADTRAN® Bluesocket® family of high-performance access points enables the deployment of secure wireless networks. Designed for environments and applications that require high capacity, scale and speed, these plug-and-play devices provide predictable and reliable wireless coverage that improves client performance and the end-user experience. Hardware Bluesocket 1930/1935 access points include two 802.11n radios. With a Gigabit Ethernet port, they support 2 x 300 Mbps streams for market leading coverage and throughput. Power is delivered by a single-port 802.3af PoE solution.
Wireless VoIP and video Adtran access points are engineered to support the requirements of high-speed wireless technologies, emerging bandwidth intensive applications and latency sensitive services such as voice and video.
Cloud-Based Control and Management Bluesocket acess points operate in conjunction with the ADTRAN Bluesocket virtual Wireless LAN (vWLAN), the
industry’s first cloud- based control and management software. ADTRAN’s vWLAN virtualises the centralised management and control functions.It offers unsurpassed scalability with centralised control and management of all access points regardless of their physical location. Cloud control also ensures consistent policy management and seamless roaming whilst providing the ability to trouble-shoot AP’s without physically travelling to each location. Bluesocket vWLAN is available as a software download running on a hypervisor (VMware) or pre-installed on a 1U cloud appliance.
Unmatched Security Adtran’s Bluesocket access points support local MAC authentication, 802.1x port-based authentication, Wireless Protected Access (WPA), and 802.11i (WPA2) with multiple Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) methods for user authentication such as PEAP, FAST, TTLS, AKA, SIM and TLS.
Antenna Options Internal and external antenna options are available. The Bluesocket 1920 access point features an internal, four antenna array for standard coverage. The Bluesocket 1925 access point features four external, RP-SMA connectors for specialised antennas.
