How it works 1. Inserting Micro SD card Note: Please choose branded Micro SD card and format it on computer before use. Neutral cards are not guaranteed to work normally. 2. Installing and Removing battery 1 Push the battery cover down to open. 2 Correctly Install the battery into the camera based on the +/symbols and the direction of the arrow marked on the battery until it’s in place. 3 Battery Gauge: please refer to diagram. 4 Remove the battery: open the battery cover to take the battery out. 3. Charging battery 1 Charging can be done by either connecting SJ1000 to a computer or a power adaptor. 2 Charge SJ1000 in a car by connecting it to a car charger 3 SJ1000 can record video while charging 4 Charge SJ1000 even when it’s switched off. 4. Switching camera on and off 1 Press and hold the power switch for one second to turn it on / off. 2 Switch it on and off by turning the screen on and off. 5. SJ1000 Mode Switch 1. Press the mode button to switch between video recording / photo shooting features. stands for recording mode while indicates photo shooting mode. The icon is displayed on the top of the screen. 6. How to setup system settings Press the menu button once and press it again to enter “System Settings” interface, which has a blue background.

Video Recording Switch to recording mode and there’ll be a icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Press OK to start recording and the icon in the upper left corner will start flashing. Press OK again if you want to stop and the icon will disappear. Photo Shooting & Its Settings Turn on the power and press the mode button to select photo mode. There’ll be a icon in the upper left corner of the screen and the camera is in photo mode. Press OK to take photos. Press Menu button to enter photo option settings: Shooting mode: Single shot / Self-timer (2s/5s/10s) / Continuous Shooting

File Storage & Play After you are done recording, use a USB cable to copy the video onto the computer to play. Or you can take the Micro SD card out and access the image data on it with a card reader.
Hint: If the SJ1000 video camera crashes due to improper operation, just remove the battery and reinstall it again, and the camera will restore normal function.
