A Division of Castle Microwave Product Overview www.castlecables.co.uk Network Optimisation Adding Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMA’S) & Combiners, increases the investment in the network so selecting the right product is paramount to achieving greater returns without increasing maintenance costs. The TMA/Combiners should be selected, installed and “forgotten”, it should also be as reliable as the coaxial cable that it Is connected to, However to be able to “install and forget”, requires a product that is designed and manufactured to survive the most hostile environments. Commercial in confidence Network Optimisation Our TMA’s/Combiners Are easily added to the existing network Include excellent out of band frequency rejection Incorporate the Antenna Standards Interface Group (AISG), a recommended specification ! Use heavily de-rated electronic components and robust moisture proof connectors. Are housed in strong weather proof enclosures that are resistant to corrosion. Are pressure tested, vibration tested, Soak tested, spray tested, & thermally tested to ensure the TMA/Combiner will function in harsh environments. Commercial in confidence Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Passive Intermodulation (PIM) occurs when two or more high power RF signals encounter PIM sources or materials in an RF path. These PIM sources behave like a mixer causing new signals to be generated at mathematical combinations of the original RF inputs. When these PIM signals fall in the Rx band of the cell site the noise floor rises causing increased dropped calls, reduced data transmission rates and decreased system capacity. The impact of PIM on the network performance can be severe, especially for modern systems such as CDMA, UMTS or LTE. The PIM signals generated in a system are mathematical combinations of the downlink frequencies present in that system. In the simple twotone case shown below, f1 and f2 represent two downlink frequencies present at the cell site and ± m·f1 ± n·f2 represent the PIM signals generated by those downlink frequencies. Commercial in confidence Passive Intermodulation (PIM) RX Band TX Band Passive Intermodulation (PIM) occurs when two or more high power RF signals encounter PIM sources or materials in an RF path. These PIM sources behave like a mixer causing new signals to be generated at mathematical combinations of the original RF inputs. The PIM signals are identified as 3rd order (IM3), 5th order (IM5), 7th order (IM7), etc. where the order number equals the sum of the frequency multipliers, or m + n. IM3 = 2f1 ± 1f2, (2+1=3) IM4 = 2f1 ± 2f2, (2+2=4) IM5 = 3f1 ± 2f2, (3+2=5), etc Example: f1 = 869 MHz, f1 = 894 MHz IM3 = 2x 869 MHz - 1x 894 MHz = 844 MHz IM3 = 2x 894 MHz - 1x 869 MHz = 919 MHz IM5 = 3x 869 MHz - 2x 894 MHz = 819 MHz IM5 = 3x 894 MHz - 2x 869 MHz = 944 MHz Commercial in confidence Fibre Optics - Components Wide Range of Standard fibre connectors HD - High Density Connectors IP68 Rated Connectors Field Termination Kits Custom Fibre Products Senko's innovative XP Fit Range Provides a Field terminated factory finish in under 3 Minutes (typical).
