Welcome to your Product Selection Guide 2017 This Product Selection Guide is designed to help you to choose the right products to build up an access control system. Paxton produce a variety of security solutions to suit different site requirements. Our one door philosophy means doors can be added as required or when budget becomes available. Networked Access Control Our networked access control system, Net2, is administered using one or more PCs and can be monitored and managed from a central location. Our door controllers come as IP, wireless or battery powered. Door Entry Our door entry system, Net2 Entry, is an advanced one cable door entry system with built-in access control capabilities. Standalone Access Control Our standalone access control is a non-networked system made up of readers or simple door controllers located at each door. Standalone systems are administered via the use of tokens or card packs. We have two types of Standalone system, Compact and Switch 2.
New in this edition Net2 Entry Touch panel Net2 Entry Touch panel is the latest addition to our door entry range, compatible with Net2 access control. The new panel comes with premium features, including a quality 7-inch colour touch screen with customisable options, making Net2 Entry suitable for more sites than ever before. • Durable, chemically strengthened glass • Simple navigation with dynamic search functionality • Easy to read - anti-glare screen for optimal daytime viewing and high contrast themes • Personalise with multiple theme options or add a company logo to the welcome screen • Upload contact images for quick visual recognition in the address book • Advanced sound processing with echo cancellation provides clear sound quality for busy areas • Line-out for use with T-Loop antenna for users with hearing aids

Paxton Readers Now Have Genuine HID Technology™ The majority of Paxton readers can now read HID™ 125kHz Proximity tokens, when enabled with an activation licence card. If required these readers can still be enabled to have Wiegand, via a separate activation licence card. Look for applicable readers in the Net2 Readers section from page 11.

Net2 classic • • •
The Net2 classic control units are connected using a dedicated ‘daisy chain’ RS485 network. They communicate with the server PC across a computer network using a Net2 plus control unit or TCP, or via USB. The server PC can be connected at any point along the RS485 data line. Net2 classic can be installed as part of a Net2 installation alongside other Net2 plus, Net2 nano or Net2 PaxLock access control units.

Building Control - I/O Board
The Net2 I/O board is a simple, yet powerful addition to the Net2 system. It can be wired alongside a Net2 door controller, to switch power on and off to electrical equipment to save money and energy. The Net2 I/O board can control lighting, heating, water and air-conditioning by using the Triggers and Actions application in the Net2 software. These actions can be programmed for a particular time, or in response to a specific Net2 event. • • •
Connect directly to a LAN/WAN only Enable integration with lighting, heating and more 4 inputs and 4 outputs on the Net2 I/O board
Please note, Net2 I/O boards work as part of the Net2 system. They are not door controllers.
