Like other IR Extender products in the our product range, this professional system support dual band IR signals and also RC-MM Protocol. Func on 1: HT1Y4 enable user to control up to FOUR A/V systems. User may opt to purchase extra IR emi ers if you need to control more than four A/V systems. Note: RC-MM is a new IR protocol with much shorter waves than a typical IR signal and uses less power. lt is becoming more prevalent with major brands. Mul ple Func ons: Modern family loves to hide all their home theater Audio/ video systems and cables in cabinet to keep things neat and dy. However, remote controlling the A/V systems in the cabinet can be a frustra on due to the inability of signal penetra on from remote control to A/V systems within. How This Works? This kit includes an IR receiver, a connec ng block (which serves as a signal repeater), and IR emi ers. The IR receiver is a small target device which communicate directly with your remote control. It can be mounted on your HDTV's bezel or anywhere in the room where you will want to point your remote to but the IR Receiver must be in lineof-sight with your remote control. The IR receiver receives your remote control's commands and sends the signal to the connec ng block (which you can hide behind walls or cabinet). The connec ng block then repeats and sends the same signal through the IR emi er (connected to the block). Your A/V system will received the signal/command from the emi er and react accordingly. (IR Emi er to be pasted on the IR sensor of the par cular A/V system). Func on 2 : This Professional IR Extender kit also enable home user to remote control from another loca on such as bedrooms if the A/V systems in the living room are connected to the TV in the bedroom. Now you can remote control the A/V systems (in living room) from your bedroom, making sharing the A/V systems possible. Extra IR Receivers can be purchase if you wish to control the A/V systems from more bedrooms. This peerphole IR Receiver is plasma proof and interference free from CPL light. It can be inserted to a drilled hole on cabinet door making it non prominent. How to extend to other rooms? 1. Using 3.5mm jack cable Purchase an extra IR Receiver cable and extend it with a good quality 3.5mm cable (Male to female connec on). This extension will enable you to connect the 2nd IR Receiver from the main block to your bedroom. Now you can remote control the A/V systems ( in living room) from your bedroom, making sharing of A/V systems possible. Maximum extension distance can be done up to 100 meters. Note: This IR extender kit do not extend the Audio and video signal. User has to prelay cable (HDMI, RCA cables) from A/V systems in the living room to TV in the bedroom. Using 3 core cable Extend the length of IR Receiver using the phoenix connector on main block with any good quality UTP CAT5/6 or other three conductor wire. Connect three points (it doesn't ma er which colors you use) onto phoenix connector and the other end to a stripped 3 core IR Receiver cable. Terminate the same conductor point GND, Signal, 5V on stripped IR Receiver to the respec ve same screw down terminal on phoenix connector to turn it into an IR extension cable.
