YFZ450R Key Features
YFZ450R Hypersports Prepare your podium speech now. In any walk of life there has to be a leader. In the sports ATV world, that leader is the YFZ450R. This hard-hitting, race spec ATV is designed from the ground up to get you to the top step of the podium. Core to this success is the YFZ’s fire-breathing, five titanium valved, short-stroke engine, wicked powerto-weight ratio and meticulously designed chassis, suspension, wheel and brake package. The fuel injection system with its big 42mm Mikuni® throttle body and 12-hole injector provides exceptional atomisation of fuel for maximum power and unbelievably crisp power delivery. And the weld-free aluminium frame is carefully tuned for minimum weight and maximum durability to take you to the next level of handling performance. Then there’s the roomy cockpit, soft contact plastics and plush seat that offer a lifeline during those long motos. Massive midrange, incredible performance and a wide track add up to championship winning potential. Start clearing your throat and try to remember all those sponsors…
1 Nearly 75mm wider overall than the YFZ450, the stance of this 450R is motocross-ready. 2 The lightweight aluminium frame with tension-steel bottom frame lets the engine sit low for excellent mass centralisation. 3 Long travel suspension components are carefully chosen for best performance, with front shock bodies featuring Kashima coating for smooth operation. 4 Four-position adjustable handlebars allow every rider to choose their best position, while the all-day comfortable throttle and revised engine balancer even further improve ergonomics.
The YFZ450R’s designers made this ATV roomy, with plenty of room to hang off in the corners, and the seat padded just right to be more comfortable regardless of riding position. 5
6 Fuel injection uses a 12-hole injector that provides exceptional atomisation of the fuel for maximum combustion efficiency and power delivery. The system also uses a big, 42mm Mikuni® throttle body and includes ISC (Idle Speed Control) for easy, reliable start-up and warming..
The fuel-injected 449cc engine uses the cylinder head and cylinder from the YZ450 for

superb power characteristics. Power deliver is smooth and strong off the line with lots of low and mid range where you need it. As rpm climbs you’ll find the same top end punch that has made the YFZ450 such a fierce competitor and class leader. Crankshaft and counter balancer have optimised ratio for superior vibration control. The crankcase also houses the oil tank, which helps to centralise mass for unmatched handling and makes maintenance easier. Camshafts designed to maximise torque available in the low and mid ranges. The chassis is very spacious, allowing room for an aggressive racer to move around during motos, and the ATV’s body panels that the rider contacts during operation are of a special, soft plastic material for high comfort levels. Seat is narrow in the front, yet wide and padded in the rear to provide a more comfortable ride, even when hanging off on the side of the seat in a turn. Wheels are set motocross-spec wide near the maximum allowable width, for great cornering ability. The Dunlop front tyres have a superb combination of compound, profile, tread
pattern, and sidewall-to-tread-centre-stiffness ratio to provide outstanding comfort, bump absorption, and precise cornering performance. At 20 inches rear and 21 inches front, the tyres also provide great ground clearance, which makes the YFZ450R fun to ride in the bush, too. ProTaper handlebars are mounted on 4-way clamps for exceptional adjustability. There are two sets of holes in the handlebar crown, and eccentric clamps so the rider can choose the standard setting, 10mm or 20mm forward, or 10mm back.
2
Foot pegs are a huge 65mm wide, something riders will appreciate every time they want to get up on the pegs, with good kick-up on the ends for solid footing. Frame is aluminium for lightweight, except for the frame member under the engine. Here tensioned steel is used for its combination of strength and thinness. This allows the designers to sit the engine lower overall for excellent mass centralisation for unmatched handling. The front frame is noticeably narrow at the A-arm mounting points, dramatically reducing changes in camber as the long A-arms travel through their full range of motion. The 250mm of wheel travel means this racer is up to even the most challenging tracks.

YFM700R Key Features
YFM700R Raptor Dakar Dominator. A combination of raw power and high levels of reliability have lead the 700R Raptor to be the machine of choice for Dakar Rally competitors. The large capacity electric start fuel-injected thumper spits out monstrous torque and horsepower which is then carefully harvested by a high-tech alloy frame with state-of-the-art suspension. In fact, even more impressive than the raw power is how sweet the Raptor is in the saddle. A thick seat, adjustable suspension, dual counter balancers and reverse gear make for a civilised riding experience. And Dakar Rally honours prove that reliability is second to none. The most powerful Yamaha sports ATV ever, in a chassis that’s built for serious fun. Winner of the last five Dakar Rallies, reliability is proven in spades, cementing the Raptor at the top of the ATV ladder.
1 Raptor is the first sport ATV with a digital meter that includes speedometer, dual trip meters, odometer, clock and engine warning indicators, plus neutral and reverse indicators.
SOQI piggyback shocks have long stroke for excellent sport-riding comfort, and are fully adjustable with convenient adjustment knobs to fine-tune the ride. 2

YFM250R Raptor
1 Electric starting 249cc engine features aircooled simplicity and toughness, as well as a broad powerband.
Ride like a pro. One ride on the purposeful and aggressive Raptor 250 and you’ll understand why owners prefer this model to its bigger and more powerful brothers… it makes you feel like a Pro rider from the word go.
Independent double-wishbone front suspension with five-way preload-adjustable shocks gives 190mm of wheel travel.
The 250 Raptor’s combination of light weight, responsive handling and an engine that feels way bigger than it is gives riders the confidence to drop the hammer hard… all day long.
4 Longest suspension travel and lowest seat in its class for true sport handling.
Which is a good thing, because once you try it, that’s all you’ll want to do. Raptor 250’s electric-starting aircooled engine is as torquey as it is tough, pumping out broad, usable power through a slick five-speed manual transmission. When combined with long travel suspension and a low seat height, even non ATV riders will be cutting surprisingly fast laps and looking good doing it.

YFM125R Key Features
YFM125R RAPTOR A warm welcome. Yamaha’s all new Raptor YFM125R offers the warmest four-wheeled welcome to riders looking for their first full sports experience. The red carpet rolls out with a sweet shifting five speed manual gearbox that combines with a traditional hand operated clutch set-up and a full size chassis to give riders their first taste of the real deal. The key is the smooth and torquey electric start 124cc engine mounted in a well balanced and lightweight steel frame that is low enough to offer riders a sweet and sporty ride. With all the style and poise of his bigger brothers, the 125R is an important new addition to the family. So when you’re ready to step up to the plate with a full sized ATV, the 125R Raptor offers the best introduction.
1 A square bore x stroke of 54 mm × 54 mm combined with a compression ratio of 10:1 gives the air cooled four-stroke engine a wide torque band that riders want for fun riding with an ATV. 2 A size 428 chain with eccentric type adjuster makes fine tweaking of chain length easy. 3 Double wishbone suspension boasts increased suspension rigidity and “anti-squat” performance by effectively absorbing the shocks when hitting bumps.
Silent type intake/exhaust valve cam chain reduces mechanical noise. The engine is fitted with a single-axis balancer to reduce vibration. Balancer gear is also fitted with four springs to reduce the noise of the gear meshing and help produce a milder engine sound. The reduced engine vibration has made it possible to adopt rigid engine mounts to enable a sharper and sweeter steering ride. A large capacity (five litre) air cleaner feeds a negative pressure type 29mm diameter BSR carburettor to ensure a sufficient supply of air/fuel mix to the engine. The combined effect of this carburettor and the intake/exhaust system specs produces environmental performance that clears EPA emissions standards.
Five-speed box has been optimised for smooth operation with the right gearing for ATV fun riding. CDI ignition system employs a booster circuit to raise current voltage from the 12V battery and store the charge in the capacitor for release to the ignition coil. This means excellent ignition function even at times like start-ups and running at extremely low speeds. Electrical components feature the same waterproof design used on other Yamaha ATVs. Chassis is engineered to make effective use of the tensile strength and controlled flex of the steel pipes for outstanding performance with sharp, agile handling. Tough Monocross type rear suspension runs a shock absorber unit similar to the Raptor 250. 19in front and 18in rear tyres provide plenty of cushioning capacity, grip performance, wear resistance and slide characteristics (rear). Wheel rims are slim, hard wearing steel. Electric starter for more convenience. Disc brakes with excellent braking power, touch and controllability. YFZ-type parking brake for greater parking convenience.
