Professional HD-Video System The Pioneer HD-V9000: Solid-state HD video player provides rugged operation and versatile installation and control for cost-efficient, high-quality video applications
HD Video System Player
HD-V9000 NEW
Exceptional reliability The new HD-V9000 enables video playback from SD/SDHC cards. The solid-state design removes typical points of failure in video systems, ensuring the player has greater tolerance of dust and vibrations. Pioneer’s state-of-art engineering adds to reliability, making the HD-V9000 an investment with long-term playback and payback.
Video in higher definition There’s HD video and there’s Pioneer HD video, with the HD-V9000 providing professional level playback at an industry-first rate of 60Mbps per second. The result? HD performance of unprecedented depth and accuracy to draw customers into your content. The powerful decoder provides versatility too, offering compatibility with MPEG-2 and H.264/AVC 4:2:2 high-bit rate video files.
Flexible search and versatile video-wall capabilities The HD-V9000 enables a frame-accurate search to commence video from precise points. The unit also integrates an external synchronized play function*1 for MPEG-2 and H.264/AVC high-vision formats. This facilitates connection of multiple players to cost-efficiently build wide-screen displays or video walls for high-impact visual effects.
RS-232C external control Managing and controlling content is a critical cost consideration for professional video users. The HD-V9000 reduces this overhead by providing a range of control options including RS-232C. With Pioneer’s industry-standard command protocol and 15-pin*2 and 9-pin RS-232C terminals, the HD-V9000 can be controlled via a PC and offers a rich range of Pioneer commands.
External terminal-based direct control function Integrators can build custom switch controllers for the Ext terminal (15-pin) to enable the player’s main functions. No programming is required to select and activate functions such as file or playlist playback, stop, pause, and search.
Playlist function Pioneer’s popular command stack function has been enhanced in the HD-V9000 by a full playlist creation feature. Using the playlist function, video files are easily sequenced and controlled. Text crawl and still image files can also be displayed over video with the same level of control and sequencing. Using Pioneer’s new HD Pilot PC software video, text and image files as well as playlists can be transferred to individual players via the network – allowing the operator to remotely change and update content, playlists, and schedules without the need for on-site personnel.
Simple scheduling Timer functions have been extended by the capability to schedule players by date. This ensures more detailed schedules can be programmed – for instance to align with holidays, special promotions, or messaging.
1
Power-ON start The convenience of operating the HD-V9000, especially applications where multiple players are used, is enhanced by Power-ON start. When power is switched on a single network device, all linked players will simultaneously switch on – saving personnel from physically attending each machine. Players can also be switched between STANDBY and ON using remote RS-232C commands.
Ethernet network control for cost-efficient operation Remote operation capabilities are further advanced by the inclusion of an Ethernet connection. This enables*3 content to be controlled and changed, and offers system monitoring to diagnose problems and errors. Schedules can be activated too and TCP/IP RS-232C commands can be sent remotely while an RSS reader and an auto-time correction function (Network Time Protocol*4) can be managed via the network.
HD-V9000 support software
HD Pilot The HD Pilot software makes it easy to optimize the player’s potential by managing a range of functions including: ▀ Creating playlists and schedules ▀ Overseeing RS-232C command and control ▀ Remote network operation and monitoring ▀ Controlling content on local PCs and the network ▀ Splitting image files and creating data for frame control.
Real-time message display With an overlay display function, RSS text crawl and still images can be displayed over video; user-defined messages can be created in real time to support the display of time-sensitive information.
HDMI™ terminals designed for professional users Alongside BNC terminals for composite / component video terminals, the HD-V9000 includes a specially designed secured HDMI connector. The connection has been developed for devices such as flat-panel displays, and prevent loose connections from damaging terminals.
HDMI Cable Clamp
*1 For synchronized operation, other equipment such as a sync generator is required. External sync also allows synchronization with other video devices *2 The 15-pin RS-232C terminal and EXT terminal are shared *3 Additional software must be purchased for network control *4 Expected to be available in a firmware update, April 2010

Durability in the DNA Superb quality video playback is combined with durability in the DVD-V8000: a DVD player that upscales SD video to HD quality and delivers exceptional reliability thanks to an innovative, dust and heat resistant optical pick-up design.
Advanced video circuitry for high-quality playback Pioneer’s long-standing expertise in video technology comes to the forefront in the DVD-V8000, which includes a 12-bit/216 MHz video DAC, digital filters, and digital noise reduction technology to deliver pristine quality video content. In keeping with the focus on video quality, the inclusion of a DVI-D digital video terminal (compatible with HDCP Ver. 1.0) upscales video to 1080i resolution and ensures full digital video reproduction.
The control professional users need
■ RS-232C external control function With 15-pin*5 and 9-pin RS-232C terminals, the DVD-V8000 reduces the cost of managing video installations by enabling control via PCs or external serial control devices.
■ External terminal-based direct control function By simply connecting switches to the EXT terminal (15-pin) the players can be operated as if using a remote control, with options available to select DVD-video menus, call out command stacks and many more.
■ Command stack function This function activates multiple command stacks to run user-defined video programs. It also allows multiple programs to be enabled by using the timer function or external control software.
■ Frame search function* 6 The DVD-V8000 offers frame-accurate, random access video search offering unprecedented precision for video-wall and video simulations systems.
■ External synchronized play function*7 The synchronized play function outputs a video signal to match the synchronized signal from an external source, making it possible to affordably create a high-impact multi-video system or a 3D video using a number of DVD-V8000s.
■ Weekly timer function*8 With the timer, the player can be turned to ON or STANDBY at a specified time and day, and play a particular video or execute a command stack, allowing the player to display video content as instructed.
■ Power-ON start function With this convenient feature, the player will automatically start when power is applied and will automatically recover from unexpected power outages. Combining this feature with command stacks and weekly timer, the player essentially manages itself in your video installation.
■ Pass-through function (Programmed Video Switcher) With this feature, the front panel buttons, RS-232C or command stacks can be used to manually or automatically switch between the internal signal of DVD video/audio and the external input of composite video or analog audio: supporting, for instance, switching the video source to on-air or cable content at a specific time slot.
■ Enhanced maintenance with USB memory The USB connection allows the user to save and load player data (e.g. command stack program, error data, setup information). So reducing the amount of time required to set up and prepare a fleet of players with the same system settings. *5 The 15-pin RS-232C terminal and EXT terminal are shared *6 The frame function cannot be used with Multi-PGC (time-info not displayed on OSD) discs, video CDs, etc. *7 For synchronized operation, other equipment, such as a sync generator, is required *8 The clock function continues to operate for up to 10 minutes (at 25˚C) when the power cord is disconnected
