The more stars the more water efficient WATER RATING A joint government and industry program Licence No. 0044 5 litres per minute When tested in accordance with Standard AS/NZS 6400 0409 www.waterrating.gov.au PROFILO Basin Set Assembly Installation All lines must be fully flushed before installation of the ceramic cartridge. Failure to do so may void the manufacturers’ warranty. For installations into an existing wall breech, ensure the seat of the tap is uniform, with no damage that may inhibit a positive seal with the ceramic cartridge. Only use a C-Tec seat refacing tool to recondition an existing tap seat. 1A. CERAMIC DISC CARTRIDGE Screw the cartridge by itself into the tap body until it screws up against the seat of the tap. Ensure correct hot and cold cartridges are installed. 1B. TIGHTEN CERAMIC DISC CARTRIDGE Using a 15mm spanner, do not use multi grips or adjustable wrench, grip the cartridge on its hexagonal flats and turn until the cartridge comes to a firm stop, no more than 1/8th of a turn. Do not overtighten past this point, the hex flats have been designed to burr off so as to prevent damage to the cartridge. 1C. FIBRE WASHER Fit red fibre washer around cartridge and against the face of the tap body, then fit the Cartridge Lockout and screw it (by hand) onto the cartridge up to the face of the tap body. 1D. CARTRIDGE LOCKNUT Fit the cartridge locknut using a spanner or where necessary a tube spanner (do not use multi grips) tighten the cartridge locknut with a similar force as would be used to tighten a traditional loose jumper valve bonnet and spindle assembly into a tap body. 2. NYLON WASHER / LOCKNUT Locate the bottom locknut and a nylon washer onto the tap body. 3. TAP BODY Insert the tap body up through the bench/basin hole. 4. BENCH LOCKNUT / BLACK NYLON WASHER Fit a nylon washer and the bench locknut onto the cartridge locknut and tighten a few turns only. Note: It is important to position the bench lockout as high on the threaded cartridge lockout as possible. 5. BOTTOM LOCKNUT Use the bottom locknut to pull the tap body tight against the bench. 6. O-RING / FLANGE Ensuring the O-ring is located inside the flange, screw the flange to the bench lockout. Make sure the locking O-ring is attached to the protruding cylindrical part of the flange and is well greased with Magnalube teflon based lubricant. 7. NYLON INSERT Checking that the pre-assembled nylon insert is screw fixed to the cartridge, adjust/test fit the handles to align as shown in Figure 2. Note: Before fitting make sure cartridge is set in ‘off’ position 8. TAP HANDLE Press handle firmly into position until near flush with flange top (1mm gap). You should feel a ‘click’ fitting between the O-ring and the handle to signal successful locking of the assembly. NOTES All lines must be fully flushed before installation of the ceramic cartridge. Failure to do so may void the manufacturers warranty. 35mm Tap Handle O-Ring Flange O-Ring Bench Locknut Black Nylon Washer 7.5mm (min) 30mm (max) Figure 2.
