Biographies of participants presented in the program Professor R.B. Singh is a professor and the Head of Geography Department at the University of Delhi. He is also President for The International Geographic Union, and has a long-standing collaboration with the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute. R.B. Singh’s main area of expertise lies within the world of geography and sustainability. Professor Annapurna Vancheswaran works at the Sustainable Development Outreach Division at The Energy and resources Institute (TERI). She leads the team in the area of developing communication strategies on environment and development. Professor S.K. Koul is the Deputy Director for strategy and planning at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He is also a Chair Professor at the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics, and responsible for establishing collaborations between education- and research institutions and organizations. Ms. Supriti is the immediate past Vice President at the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture among Youth, SPIC MACAY, where she volunteered her time with raising funds and organizing concerts by eminent artists in schools and colleges all over India. Mr. Nitin Chandy is the co-founder and managing Director at the True School of Music in Mumbai, which is India's first, comprehensive professional institute of contemporary music that prepares and empowers students for a career in music. He also works as a Home & Pro Audio Consultant and a Freelance Mix Engineer. Ms. Prathibha Prahlad is a dancer and the Festival Director at Delhi International Arts Festival, which is one of the most famous arts festivals in India. She is also Head of the Prasiddha Foundation and the Forum for Arts Beyond Borders. She has a post graduate degree in Mass Communication and English Literature.

Ms. Nidhie Sharma is a filmmaker and author living in Mumbai. She has recently published the book “Dancing with Demons”, which has become an instant bestseller. She has studied filmmaking and screenwriting at New York University and has previously graduated with honors in English Literature. Ms. Arundhati Ghosh is the Executive Director at the India
Foundation forsustainability the Arts a national, not-for-profit, grant-making geography and organization that supports practice, research and education in the arts in India. She has an Economics degree from Presidency College, a Post-graduation in management from Mudra Institute of Communication and a Master’s degree in classical dance. She is also a published poet in Bangla. Professor Sudhanshu Rai, Associate Professor of innovation in emerging economies, the faculty of intercultural comm.unication and management, CBS. Research areas: innovation in emerging economies, Co-creation of innovation for sustainable future markets, Institutional logics, Indian reasoning. and is a published poet in Bangla Professor Kaur, Associate Professor, Department of geography Ravinder and sustainability Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, University of Copenhagen. She is currently working on the research project "Nation in Motion: Globalisation, Development and Governance in ‘New India'" Mr. Steen Lassen, international corporate lawyer and arbitrator. He is amongst other chairmanships chairman for the HolckLarsen Foundation, and he has taken the initiative for a number of socially relevant projects, including India Today Copenhagen Tomorrow. Mr. Flemming Besenbacher, D.Sc. Academician, amongst many
other chairman of the Board of Directors at Carlsberg A/S and the Carlsberg Foundation. He is also a Professor of Nanoscience and Physics. The Foundation provides support for Danish research, Danish art and art history.
Mr. Mogens Jensen, Minister for Trade and Development Cooperation from February 3rd 2014. He is also Vice-chairman of the Social Democratic Party and former spokesman for culture and media.
Mr. Kenneth Agerholm , co- founder of innovation and facilitator bureau Agerholm:Consult. He has facilitated, designed and project managed more than 150 conferences, workshops, and seminars on innovation, sustainability, leadership, creativity and business strategy. He is also an international jazz artist. Mr. Michael Metz Mørch, Secretary General at the Danish Cultural Institute. He has the degree Cand.scient.pol from Aarhus University, and a career behind him as consul general and ambassador in New York. He has also been ambassador in Warsaw and Riga. Mr. Olaf Gerlach Hansen, senior advisor at the Danish Cultural Institute and a Director of the Culture Futures, an informal network concerned with shaping and delivering a proactive cultural agenda to support the necessary transition towards an Ecological Age by 2050.

From 1994 to 2001 Lars Møller Group was one of the leading Danish Jazz groups. The unique mix of American, Scandinavian and Indian sources of inspiration got international attention. They released 5 recordings, got a Grammy award for “Kaleidoscope” and performed around the world — including Blue Note in New York. The musical identity of the band was to a high degree a result of the long time devotion to studying the classical music tradition of India by Lars Møller and Ole Theill. After living in New York 1987-89, playing with a number of legendary jazz musicians, Lars Møller spend several prolonged periods studying with shanei masters Pandit Anant Lal and his son Pandit Daya Shankar. Ole Theill spend several decades studying with tabla master Pandit Ishwar Lal Mishra in Varanasi. Presently Lars Møller is Artistic director and general manager, Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, and also a internationally acclaimed composer and conductor for big bands and working on a longterm Indian/Danish musical collaboration project “Bollywood Beats and Big Band”.

This Conference celebrates the closing of India Today - Copenhagen Tomorrow. The aim of the conference is to foster new co-operations in the fields of arts, heritage and culture, education and science, as well as the themes of sustainable development, innovation and co-creation. India Today - Copenhagen Tomorrow was a Danish/Indian project initiated by the Danish Holck-Larsen Foundation. The foundation was established by Henning HolckLarsen, co-founder of the Indian company Larsen & Toubro, which is one of the leading and most admired companies in India. The purpose of India Today - Copenhagen Tomorrow was to link the people of India and Denmark in the true spirit of Mr. Holck-Larsen by promoting exchange of culture, science and trade between the two countries. India Today - Copenhagen Tomorrow took place from 18.8.2012 – 13.1.2013 in Denmark, and was the largest Indian-Danish program of collaboration ever. The purpose was to show Denmark and Danes the modern India and to strengthen IndianDanish cooperation and innovation within culture, science and business. A large program of events in Denmark presented Indian contemporary art, literature, movies, fashion, music and dance. Besides this there were conferences and dialogue and cocreation between business, culture, tourism, education, science and media. Many events took place at the internationally famous ARKEN - Museum of Modern Art, where two new highly praised exhibitions will present Indian contemporary art and the newest trends of Indian fashion. THE DANISH CULTURAL INSTITUTE The Danish Cultural Institute promotes dialogue and understanding across cultural differences and national borders. Our work is founded on a broad conceptual platform that embraces art, culture and society; areas that unite people across cultures, promote international understanding and facilitate intercultural communication.
