Introduction to Program Mode 1.1 Introduction Introduction Database Setup The FS-3700 Programmer’s Manual provides a comprehensive guide to the programming module of the FS-3700• ECR system. This guide is organized into sections describing each of the programming tables that make up the database. A description of each field and flag is included to give the user a complete understanding of how to set up the system. The FS-3700 touch screen workstation provides custom programming through its unique system of soft-programmed POS touch screens. It can be used in a system of up to 32 workstations operating off a network. In addition, a back office PC running the Windows XP Professional operating system can be integrated into a system to run software for additional maintenance and reporting. This manual is intended to be a guide for anyone who is involved in the design, configuration, or maintenance of the FS-3700 system. The scope of this manual is the Database Setup portion of the Program Mode 1. It provides descriptions of each field and flag that comprise the programming tables of the FS-3700 system. Sales processing functions of the systems POS Mode are described in the FS-3700 Owner’s Manual. The FS-3700 ECR has several databases preprogrammed for demonstrations and as a starting point for programming a specific site. 1-3 Out-of-Box Prompts Database Setup 1.2 FS-3700 R4 Programming Manual Out-of-Box Prompts When the FS-3700 is first turned on the following screens display so the user can select a database. 1.
