Listen to what Ahmed says, speaking at a press conference on CBS news. Ahmed Mohamed: So I guess everyone knows, I’m the person who built a clock and got into a lot of trouble for it. I built the clock to impress my teacher but when I showed it to her she thought it was a threat to her, so it was really sad that she took the wrong impression of it and I got arrested later that day. ” Presenter: The police realised it wasn’t a bomb and released Ahmed. Many famous people commented on social media to support him. Even Barack Obama took to Twitter to say: ”Cool clock Ahmed, want to bring it to the White House?” That’s right, Ahmed has received an invitation to meet the US President. He intends to use it as an opportunity to talk about his experience so it doesn’t stop kids from being curious and inventive.

• Human rights on the curriculum Presenter: Lessons in human rights are being launched in UK schools. Pupils will learn about political and religious conflicts as well as slavery in the world today. The lessons include the stories and experiences of human rights activists who have been imprisoned for their actions. The aim is to help kids and teachers discuss topics like the current refugee crisis and encourage debates on topics such as democracy, respect and tolerance.

• Like or disike, Facebook? Presenter: And finally, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says the company is working on a dislike button – or something similar – for the social media site. Mark Zuckerberg: You know, not every moment is a good moment. And if you are sharing something that is sad then it may not feel comfortable to like that post. But your friends and people want to be able to express that they understand and that they relate to you – so I do think that it’s important to give people more options than just like and share with their feeling on a post. Presenter: Reaction was divided on social media to a dislike button. While some Facebook users have been asking for it for a long time, others think it could easily make people feel bullied online.
