• School app to stop bullying Presenter: Kids in the UK can now get help by using an app if they are being bullied. Kids can send a message to a teacher and explain what is happening to them. A teacher can then help to make sure to bullying stops. Is it a good way to stop bullying? Listen to what these children told the BBC.

Pupils: It’s a great idea because it can help people in various ways, like with cyber bullying, physical bullying and indirect bullying.

You might not want to talk to your teachers and parents about it because you might be a little bit shy. So if you have the app, then you can just write down what you are feeling and it can give you some great advice. I think one of the problems is that you might not have any type of tablet or phone.

Presenter: Anyone who can open the app can use it anytime – so it’s not just open during school time.
• Ahmed Mohamed meets Obama Do you remember the story about Ahmed Mohamed? He is the 14-yearold from America who was arrested because he took a clock he had made to school. His teacher was worried because she thought it was a bomb and the police were called. Well, Ahmed became quite famous after that happened. He was even invited to visit the US President and the two of them talked about science and planets. Ahmed Mohamed: We were talking about astronomy so I told him how we can help people to power electricity on Mars. Presenter: Ahmed also thinks what happened to him is a good thing. Listen to what he says. Ahmed: I would like to say that I’m glad this happened to me because I get to spread my word out to the people and tell them that it’s not by the colour of your skin or by your religion, but it’s by your heart, and you always judge a person by your heart, not what they look like.

• Spooky Halloween asteroid Presenter: Halloween is meant to be the scariest night of the year. This year was even more spooky because scientists saw that a huge asteroid would be coming close to Earth on October 31st.

The asteroid was around 300 to 600 metres wide and travelling at more than 125,000 kilometres per hour. Scientists have given the asteroid a nickname – Spooky. They say it came close to Earth but that was still over 500,000 kilometres away.
