Phonomax Systems Manuals Version-2 Built-17 Information given here is private and No other then PHONOMAX Hybrid or connected to Hybrid Ports. Any Damages due to that will be sole The Hybrid Phones and DSS Console Binding to the Company. confidential and is not for Distribution. Proprietary Telephone and DSS Console should be responsibility of the User. from Phonomax will be Available without any Time PHONOMAX The version of the program is on the Sticker of Micro-Controller of the CPU card. The version of the program is displayed on Hybrid Phone while plugging the Phone in to Hybrid Port MONITORING TONES It is necessary to get familiar with the various "tones" of your PBX System. 1) Exchange Dial Tone : The dial tone is a continuous sound, which lasts for 6 seconds during which the exchange waits for dialing to be initiated. If no dialing takes place during this period the PBX times out the user and busy tone starts. 2) P & T Dial Tone : On accessing a direct line, you will get the normal P & T Dial tone. 3) Busy Tone : The busy tone is a discontinuous sound (Du.... Du). The busy tone consists of equal duration ON and OFF signals. This tone indicates that the system cannot process the dialing or when the called number is busy. 4) Internal Ring Tone : This is a discontinuous sound of two frequencies and sounds like Durrrr .. for one second with a two second silence interval. When you dial extensions, you will hear this ring-back tone till the extension answers. 5) Ringing Tone : Two types of rings can be heard from the telephone instrument connected to the System. When your instrument is called by another extension the ring will be a continuous one with a one second ON and three seconds OFF period. A ring from a CO.Jn.(Trunk) Line will ring like a normal telephone call, it will be two short cadence followed by long pause and repeated. When the extension is enabled to receive CLID, it will get a short ring followed by CLID numbers and a short ring, after that depending upon call it will ring as per above two cadences. 6) Feature Tone : A tone (trin-trin) is heard after a Hook Flash indicating that the system is in the "feature" mode. 7) Intrusion Tone(Barge in Tone) : This are four fast beeps. 8) Hook Flash(HF) : The features of your PBX require the use of a Hook Flash (HF). This is performed by tapping the hook switch of your instrument for a period of less than flash time programmed for the system. Care should be taken not to press the hook switch for more then Flash time when a HF is desired, or it will register a "hang up". When disconnection is desired care should be taken to press cradle exceeding Flash time or otherwise call will go on Hold and feature tone will be heard (this happens most times when dialed number on CO. is busy and one tries again dialing same number by disconnecting and accessing CO. dials same number so disconnect properly). Note : Some telephone instruments have a built in electronic flash key. It is advisable to use the flash key instead of the hook switch in order to register a "hook flash". 1 FEATURES/OPERATIONS 1. Extension to Extension Call (Ex.) : When one extension user wishes to talk to another extension, the user has to proceed as follows, Lift handset & hear dial tone & Dial Extension No., Wait for the internal ring tone. Speak when called party answers. PHONOMAX 2. Call Transfer (HF Ex.) : Any internal or external call received/originated at any extension can be transferred from that extension to any other extension. Hook Flash & hear feature mode tone. Dial the extension number to which you want to transfer the call. Wait for the internal ring tone. If called extension is busy then use the camp on feature. You may then hang up. The call will be transferred automatically. You may wait for an answer to announce the call and then hang up. Note : If, the called extension is unattended, the call will return after Transfer Recall programmed for the PBX automatically. 3. Change Personnel Password (# 20 **** PPPP) : The Personnel Password is the password that can be used by extension user to use various facility of PBX, such as Dynamic Lock, Walk-in Class of Service and some of the Special Features. To make any external Call, after system is installed the Personnel Password must be registered. To change Personnel Password, Lift handset & listen dial tone & Dial # 20 PPPP QQQQ, where PPPP is old password (when system is installed, it is ****) and QQQQ is your new password. In case you forget your password call your PBX serviceman, he can only reset the same and you can reprogram. Keep practice to change the password to curtail the misuse. 4. Dynamic Lock (#26 #/PPPP) : Extension can be programmed to bar calls from that extension, to prevent misuse, while actual entitled person is not present. Executive features cannot be used when extension is locked. To lock and unlock extension, Lift hand set & listen dial tone & Dial # 26 PPPP, where PPPP is personnel password and class of service is restored, while Dial # 26 # all calls are barred and password entry is not required. 5. Walk-in Class of Service (#2 EX PPPP) : Walk-in class of service enables user to make any outgoing calls as per user’s class of service or access special features from any extension, which is not entitled from the same. To open the lock, Lift hand set & listen dial tone & Dial # 2 EX PPPP, where EX is your extension number and PPPP is your personnel password, get dial tone once dialing this, in case you get engage tone either password is wrong or password is not changed from default one. The extension will get locked as soon as that extension remains on-hook continuously for 7 seconds, while remaining off-hook user can make number of calls and can also access executive features. 6. Access to Trunk Line (0) (Line Hunting) : Access to trunk line is used to make calls on telephone line. To make outside call, lift handset, listen dial tone & Dial 0, you will get telephone line dial tone and proceed for the external call dialing. In case, you don’t get telephone line dial tone, all lines in ‘0’ group are busy or extension is not entitled to use ‘0’ group dialing. When Automatic Route Selection (ARS) is active, the number required is minimum five digit length. User will get blank or dummy dial tone as per ARS dial tone programmed by system programming. 2 7. Re-dial (*) : Any extension user can repeatedly dial the last number (external) without pressing all the numbers again. For this, do as follows, Disconnect previous call, lift handset and hear dial tone, Dial ‘*’ key. The last dialed number will be redialed automatically. If again on redial, on outside numbers, the called party is busy, disconnect the line properly so that you don’t listen feature tone while disconnecting or else the line will go on hold. The same key ‘*’ is used for flash on CO, when CO is on hold, discussed later. PHONOMAX 8. Call Pick-up (80 or 8 Ex. No.) : If another extension is ringing, this feature allows to receive that call at user’s extension without physically moving to the ringing extension. Lift the handset of your extension and hear the dial tone. If the user extension number is from a different pick-up group dial 8 followed by the extension number, which is ringing. If ringing extension is from the same group, then just dial 80 & Talk to the caller. To get back the transferred call, disconnect after extension number dialed, get back dial tone and dial 8 followed by extension number, the original call will be received back. When two or more extensions are ringing simultaneously, prefer using # 8 EXT number or the first sequential extension number call will be received. 9. Abbreviated Dialing (Global Dialing Common Pool Nos.) : There are some telephone numbers that all users dial regularly. The exchange can be programmed to memorize 100 numbers and gives them 3 digit access codes. Any station can now call these numbers by dialing the appropriate code. The code starts from 700 and ends at 799. If the global memory is banked, only lower bank is available to all users and upper bank numbers will be allowed as per class of service for that extension and dynamic lock status. 10.Conference (HF + Extn. or TN + HF ) : If while conversing with an outside line or an extension you want to arrange for a third party to conference, you may do it as follows, While conversing with Party A, use the Hook Flash, Party A goes on hold. Listen to the dial tone and dial the extension no. of Party B. Speak to party B & hook flash to conference between you, party A and party B. The party B can be even an outside party. If party B is busy, hang-off, you will get back ring of party A, if party A is outside party. 11.Call Camp on (HF 8 EX) : This feature allows an extension to transfer calls even to a busy extension. The transferring extension gets free after using this feature; the call gets transferred/camped on to the busy extension. The busy extension on which the call is transferred (camped on) gets a call waiting tone and can attend the call as soon as he finishes his busy call. However, if this camped on call is not attended to within transfer recall time, it returns to the original extension, which has transferred (camped on) the call to the busy extension. On getting a busy tone while transferring a call to any extension. Hook flash to get back the calling party & again Hook Flash to put on Hold the calling party. Dial 8 Extn. no. (which is found busy) and disconnect. 12.Picking up a Camped Call (HF ##) : This feature allows the user to attend calls in rotation, i.e. if the extension is already busy with one call, and another call has camped on to his extension, then using this feature, the extension user can park his first call and attend to the second call and vice-versa. You will hear the call waiting tone while talking. Hook flash and dial ##. First call goes on hold and second call comes through. Finish the call and repeat procedure to get first call. To disconnect either of any call, disconnect that call completely and Dial ## to pick up parked call. 3 13.Call Parking Personnel (HF ##) : In case the extension desires to become free temporarily to attend to some important function, using this feature makes the extension free without losing the call. This feature also helps the receiving extension to park (hold) the call in case it is not possible to transfer the call to the desired extension. While talking to the caller, Hook Flash; dial ##. Disconnect. The exchange will remind this extension after exclusive hold recall time, to attend to the parked call. PHONOMAX 14.Call Parking Zonal (HF # 8 Z ) : In case the extension desires to become free temporarily to attend to some important function, using this feature makes the extension free without losing the call while the call is parked in system zonal area and other extension can pick-up the call. This feature also helps the receiving extension to park (hold) the call in case it is not possible to transfer the call to the desired extension. While talking to the caller, Hook Flash; dial #8 Z (0-9). Disconnect. The exchange will remind this extension after hold recall time to attend to the parked call. Anybody can pick up zonal parked call by dialing zonal access code same as parking code and can retrieve the call 15.Call Forward on Busy : This is used when two extension are used by the same user or group of the user sharing two extension. This enables virtual one number assigned to that two extension. To activate the same, Lift handset, listen dial tone and dial # 10 EX where EX other extension on which call will come if this one busy. Do same from other extension while entering this extension number from that. To cancel this feature dial # 10 *. 16.Call Forwarding (# 11 Ex.) : The feature allows an extension user to receive calls at any other extension. PROGRAMMING INTRODUCTION PHONOMAX SYSTEM & MANAGER PROGRAMMING MODES PBX system parameters can be programmed from any Single Line Telephone (SLT) instrument. The System Programming capability can be availed on particular extensions by Extension Programming (Code-654). The System Programming Password can be changed to prevent misuse for unauthorized programming. The System password can be changed by Change Password Program (Code-002). The Default Password is 1234 and programming can be initiated by dialing #*1234, from programming enabled SLT Instrument. The Date and Time are although programmed but can be changed by Date/Time Program (Code-000), in case of battery shorting of mother board. At a time only one extension can do system programming. Once the system programming is over, Programmer can exit the programming mode by Program over Code (Code-990). The system configuration reset can be done by hardware or software. Software reset can be done in the programming mode by System Data Reset Program (Code-999). For hardware reset remove jumper near memory for few seconds while power is off and replace the jumper back. MANAGER MODE Apart from System parameter setting certain programs is required to be done by user, and can be done by entering manager mode. This programs are Day-Night mode manual switching, SMDR Data Erase and Print outs, Voice DISA Message recording. The Manager password can be erased by system programming with Manager Password Erase Program (Code-740). The Manager Password has to be registered for the first use. 10 TIMING & OTHER FEATURES MAKING CALLS PHONOMAX The extensions can have flexible numbering as selected by Extension Flexi Number Program (Code-009) and as per selected plan by Flexi Number Plan Program (Code-020). The un-used extension can be made out of service with Extension out of Service Program (Code660). The system is equipped with eight Hybrid Data Ports on the first line card of any configuration. This Hybrid Ports can be reassigned to other line card Voice pair with Hybrid Port Assign Program (Code-003) The Hybrid data parity Bit can be changed to match with Phonomax Hybrid Phone or DSS Console with Hybrid Port Parity Program (Code-021). The DSS Console can be defined with the same program as Hybrid Port Assign Program (Code003), while the paired Hybrid Phone can be assigned by the programming DSS Pair (Code-004). The Hybrid Phone user can be made executive to access salient features like Live Call Screening & Audio Monitoring by Extension Hybrid Port Executive Program (Code-653). While Handling the Calls, PBX user transfers the calls to other extensions and the transfer recall occurs when transferee do not pick up the call, this recall time is programmed by Transfer Recall Time Program (Code-201). To transfer the call, SLT user uses Flash key followed by extension number, this flash time varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, and can be reprogrammed with Extension Flash Time (Code207). When the user keeps call on hold or Exclusive Hold (which can not be picked up by other extension), this hold call starts giving alert after certain time and the this time is programmed by Hold Recall Time Program (Code-200) and Exclusive Hold Recall Time Program (Code-209) respectively. With Barge-in, Executive extension can listen or interrupt the conversation of other extension. This can be done, if the extension is programmed for proper level, and level can be set by Extension Barge-in Program (Code-608). The system have auto music switcher feature by which external music is automatically played when it is present, irrespective of jack placing in the system. In this case, when external music is present, internal music will be automatically off. In HX1248 model even manual control can be given with programming Auto Music Switcher Program (Code-111) The PBX can be configured for individual extension for making outside calls. Trunk can be accessed by '0', '9' or direct access followed by telephone number dialing, but when number is not dialed the trunk line connection will be determined with No Dial Disconnection Program (Code-211). Trunk line connected to the system is defined with Trunk Line Program (Code-400). When trunk line is accessed by Hybrid Phone DSS key the telephone number of the Line is displayed, which can be programmed by Trunk line Telephone Number program (Code-453). This makes easy for user to identify the line from which number is getting dialed or Telephone Line Number when line is dead from service provider. Extension can also be set to talk for limited duration on trunk line as per timing set by Extension Time Duration Program (Code-212) and extension disconnection configured by Extension Time Out Program (Code-613). First Group or '0' Access The '0' access is generally used to make calls using any of the free Trunk Line by dialing '0' followed by telephone number. It is enabled individually for each individual line by Trunk Group Access Program (Code-405/406) for day or night mode independently. The trunk access can be round robin or 1st free 1st access basis, as per configured by Trunk Round Robin First Group Program (Code-122). This round robin feature is helpful to distribute call amongst all trunk group lines, while 1st free 1st access is useful for users who opted for service provider scheme on particular line, in that case line will be selected as per connection in jacks of line card. When second group is not created, the '0' group can be accessed by dialing '9' with programming Trunk Select '0' or '9' Program (Code-121). 11 Second Group or '9' Access The second group is useful when customer wants to reserve certain Trunk Lines for outgoing access on selective basis or for Centrex Lines. The second group can be assigned by Operator or Group-2 Assign Program (Code-008). For second group dialing, rotation of trunks or 1st free 1st access, is determined by Trunk Select '0' or '9' Program (Code-121). The Trunk Lines can either be in '0' group or '9' group determined by Global Trunk Access Grouping Program (Code-419). The access of this trunks to extensions is determined by Extension Trunk Access Program (Code405 / 406) for Day / Night Mode. The second group COS can be configured differently as explained in COS section. PHONOMAX Direct Access Direct Access of Trunk Line is useful to make calls from the line, when long distance dialing facility is activated from service provider on that particular line, or Intercom or Centrex lines are connected to the PBX. Out going calls can also be made by selecting particular Trunk Line. This individual Trunk Line Access can be programmed for each extension with Extension Trunk Direct Access Program (Code-657). Direct access of Trunk Line is independent of Trunk Select '0' or '9' Group select program. The Hybrid Phone can not access that lines, if direct access disabled, even DSS Key is assigned to that Trunk Line, while all other functions can be done with DSS key, once the call is matured or landed like hold, retrieve hold etc.. Memory Dialing Global Memory of PBX can be used for frequently dialed numbers and these numbers can even be dialed by those extensions, where dialing is locked. This memory can be accessed by three digit code (700 to 799) and these memories can also be used while accessing hot line with external number. Global memory can be programmed with Global Memory Program (Code-001). These memories can be divided in to two banks in multiples of ten, with Memory Banking Program (Code-301). Memory gets divided in to parts of 0-100, 10-90, 20-80 ...& 100-0 with Memory Banking. The lower bank numbers can be dialed by all extensions without verifying COS, while for upper bank numbers are verified, before getting dialed by extension, as per COS of that extension. When a single group is opted, the memory programming can have trunk line as '0' or '9' and both will result in common group access. The global memory numbers with '0' or '9' access are dialed using trunk lines programmed as per Global Trunk Access Grouping Program (Code-419). Class of Service (COS) COS is required to control dialing on Trunk Lines and restrict the extension users to make calls within local area and thus to prevent misuse. Extension COS can be applicable with the help of three allowed tables each of ten codes having nine digit length and three denied tables each of ten codes having five digit length. When COS is applied, along with tables, the starting dialing number is matched with allowed list, and extension user gets the call connected, even if it matches with denied list. But the call gets disconnected in case of no match with allowed list, but match with denied list is found. For level-1 all three allowed list is checked and 1st denied list of 10 codes are checked. For level-2 first two allowed list is checked and 1st & 2nd denied list of 20 codes are checked. For level-3 first allowed list is checked and all denied list of 30 codes are checked. The tables can be programmed with Class of Service Allowed Table Program (Code-306 / 307 / 308) and Class of Service Denied Table Program (Code-302 / 303 / 304). These tables are applied to Extension Port by Extension COS Group-1 Program (Code-601 / 602) For second group, the COS can be normal system COS of three allowed & denied tables or No COS or different single table of allowed & denied list of ten codes with nine & five digits length respectively each. The 2nd group applicable COS can be defined with 2nd Group applicable COS Program (Code-318) The second COS table can be programmed with Group-2 COS table program (Code-314 / 315). This can be applied to extension with Extension Group-2 COS program (Code-316 /317). 12 PHONOMAX ARS Dialing PBX is Automatic Route Selection ready. The ARS is mainly used to select carrier based dialing to save cost. System ARS can be activated by System ARS activation program (Code-350) and individual extension ARS activation by Extension ARS Activation Program (Code-348). Once the ARS is active, user gets no trunk dial tone or dummy dial tone depending upon ARS Dial tone Program (Code-362) and on completion of five digits dialing; the system automatically seizes the trunk line as per the route. ARS have four different routes each having ten codes of five digit length can be programmed with ARS Route Program (Code-351 / 352 / 353 / 354) Each route can have designated trunk line assigned to it, which can be programmed with ARS Trunk Assign program (Code-366 / 367 / 368 / 369). The trunk line can be either in '0' or '9' group. In case, matching is not found with any route, the dialing is done through default '0' access enabled trunk lines of that extension. In case, none of the trunk line is found free for the particular route, ARS override programmed with ARS Override Activation program (Code-371 / 372 / 373 / 374) is checked and if override is enabled, the dialing is done through default extension '0' access enabled trunk lines of that extension. The ARS can be used only when dialing numbers are more then five digits in length. The numbers are matched sequentially from route-1 to route-4, for repeated code in different routes, first match is validated and route is selected as per that match. The ARS is not effective in case of direct access. The ARS is configured for carrier based route selection but do not have carrier verifying or authentication codes for password or User ID for the carrier and hence do not have remove or add digits programs for each route. Dynamic Locking & Walk-in Class of Service Extension user can have own personal password of four digit and can only be reset by system programming with Extension Password Reset program (Code-655). Personal Password should be registered for the first time. Extension user can lock the extension while leaving the desk to prevent misuse. In case of locking the extension, the COS is effective as per Locked Extension COS Program (Code-312) for first group and in case of second group with different COS, as per Locked Extension COS 2nd group Program (Code-313). Extension user can make calls from any extension without dialing facility with help of Walk-in COS. Hot line User can activate hot line to make outside call immediately without accessing trunk line and dialing '0' when configured as hot outward dialing. The Hot line delay time is programmable with Hot line Delay Program (Code-203). Hot line can also be done for external telephone number of global memory. Redial & Flash on Trunk Redial behind PBX from Single Line Telephone (SLT) are done through dialing '*', as pause is required between Trunk Line access code and dialed number, if redial key is used of SLT. Some time DTMF dialed by PBX while SLT is in parallel with Redial circuit is not recognized by the exchange, so SLT is required to be muted and can be done with DTMF Tone Mute program (Code208). When dial tone from Service provider is delayed, the PBX should dial number with a delay and can be programmed with DTMF Dial Start Time Program (Code-206). This is also applicable for memory dialing. Flash is required to be given on trunk line for picking up second call on trunk in case of call waiting on trunk, or to register the call with service provider for malicious call. The Flash on trunk is also required when another Host PBX's extension is connected as trunk line and the call is required to be sent back to the Host PBX. The Flash on trunk is activated with Flash on Trunk Program (Code-108) and timing of flash is determined by Trunk Flash Time program (Code-418). In case of conversation with Trunk by Hybrid Phone, the same above programs will be effective for insertion of flash on Trunk when Flash key on Hybrid Phone is pressed. Apart from this, the timing of flash is determined by type of flash by Flash Type on Trunk Program (Code-110). All outgoing calls get recorded in System Memory and System has Buffer Full Display LED on front panel. User can download the SMDR data on Hyper Terminal of Personal Computer or can take printout on Serial Printer. The recording of incoming calls can also be done by programming SMDR Record Type Program (Code-925). As the call maturity of outgoing call can not be determined, the SMDR time gets start incrementing after DTMF receiver (Six Seconds) timeout plus the time programmed by SMDR Start Time Program (Code-204). 13 RECEIVING CALLS PHONOMAX PBX can be configured to almost all requirement of customer for receiving calls. The call termination can be Sequential, Delayed Simultaneous and Simultaneous along with or without DISA and two level auto attendant with multiple messages for two simultaneous incoming landing calls. Each Trunk Line can be terminated independently in any of Sequential, Delayed Simultaneous or Simultaneous Mode for Day or Night Mode. The Day & Night Mode can switchover can be automatic, as per the timings programmed with Day/Night Mode-Time Program (Code-007) for each day of the week as per activated by Day/Night Mode-Auto Program (Code-006). Incoming call can be terminated to maximum eight extensions for each Trunk Line, configured with Trunk Incoming Termination program (Code-408/409). This call can terminate with or without DISA for Sequential, Delayed Simultaneous or Simultaneous mode by programming Trunk Termination Type program (Code-414/415). In case of Sequential Ring Termination, the call gets switched to next extension for ring, after time out as per Extension Ring Count Program (Code-656). In case Delayed Simultaneous Call, the delay is determined by Trunk Delayed Ringing Program (Code-411/412). In case of caller hang-ups, the terminated call will ring till the ring off time of incoming call is over, as programmed with Trunk Ring off Detection Program (Code-213). The Terminated Call can be picked up by other extension by dialing pick-up code (80) from that extension, if both extensions fall within same group as programmed with Extension Group Program (Code-600) and group is enabled for call pick-up by the programming Pick Up Group Enable Program (Code-127). CALLER ID The system is capable of receiving Caller ID on Trunk Line in DTMF and can be upgraded to FSK Calling Line Identification for Bellcore TR-NWT-000030, ITU-T V.23 and ETSI 300 659-1 specifications of on hook data transmission. The Calling line number delivery is in DTMF mode to SLT. The CLI service can be activated on trunk Line by Trunk CLID Type & Activation Program (Code910), while for extension by Extension Caller ID Program (Code-628). The internal Caller ID is also availed once CLID activated on SLT. Sometime the CLI Number is given after single or double ring on Trunk Line by service provider and PBX have to wait till it receives the numbers, this delay is programmable with Trunk CLID Wait Time Program (Code-911). The SLT phone can get CLI Number within or before ring by programming Extension CLID Ring Pattern Program (Code-150). Smart Switch Additional SSR (Solid switch Relay or Smart switches) can be connected to PBX through which any electric point (2 Amp max.) can be put on & off. The switch can be configured for Normal Switch or Door Opener or Paging Power or Security Hooter (Code-721 / 722 / 723 for each switch respectively). HX308 & HX616 have three smart switches while HX1248 have two switches. The access can be individually programmed for each extension in day & night operation of the system (Code-724 / 725 / 726 for day mode & 727 / 728 / 729 for night mode, for individual switches respectively). When the switch is configured for security hooter, on dialing #40, the switch will get activated for programmed time. When the switch is configured for paging power, the switch will get activated when paging announcement made by any extension. Contact your dealer for more information. 14 PHONOMAX Direct Inward System Access (DISA) DISA is very flexible can be configured, independently for each trunk line in any mode, with three normal welcome messages, each of twenty seconds plus duration, and two auto attendant welcome messages, each of one minute duration. Maximum two DISA card can be placed in a system so that simultaneously two calls can be handled. When two cards are placed the jumper on card should be placed at different position for both cards and same cable should be connected in parallel to each other. The DISA card also have second level sixteen messages, each are programmable for any level-1 digit dialed play mode. Apart from this, auxiliary messages like Invalid Number Dial, Busy Extension, No Dial message, Dialed Extension No Reply and Release messages are re-recordable of eight seconds duration and activation / de-activation can be programmed with Activate Invalid Dial Message (Code-564), Activate Busy Message (Code-565), Activate No Dial Message (Code-566), Activate No Answer Message (Code-567), Activate Release Message (Code-568) respectively. The timings for, DISA seize is programmable by DISA Activation Time program (Code-504), dialing time after DISA message over by DISA Dial Time Program (Code-505), ringing time on dialed extension by DISA Matured Ring Time Program (Code-508) and DISA default termination release time by DISA Fail Ring Time Program (Code-509). The PBX is Fax ready in DISA Mode and Fax detection can be activated for individual trunk line by Fax Detect Activation Program (Code-573). Maximum two Fax extensions can be defined by Fax Extension Program (Code-503). Many times the recorded Welcome Message audio have fax-tone frequency due to which false fax detection might occur, so to avoid the same, Fax Tone length which is nearly 300 milli-second is programmable by Fax Tone Length Program (Code-574) and number of fax-tone sent by caller fax machine are generally more then seven, that is also programmable with Fax Tone Count Program (Code-514). With this programming mostly wrong Fax Call detection can be avoided. In Normal DISA mode some customer requirement is only welcome message and no dialing is required, this can be accomplished with DISA Dialing Accept Program (Code-561 / 562 / 563) for each welcome message individually. Trunk DISA mode can be activated by programming Trunk Termination Type program (Code414/415) along with specifying message ID by Trunk DISA Message Program (Code-450/451). When Message ID is 0, the DISA is without message or blank DISA and auxilliary messages along with fax detection also become inactive. Message ID 4 & 5 are for auto attendant mode, and each message for 0-9 dialing can be configured for termination to particular extension or next level-2 message out of sixteen available level-2 messages or default termination with DISA AA Level-1 Termination Program (Code-501 / 502). The level-1 can also be accompanied with extension number dialing for first digit dialed=1 and Plan-1 is opted for Flexible numbering by DISA AA-1/2 Extension Dial (code-578 / 579). This is very useful when an organization wants to handle both traffic of known and unknown callers with ease. Each Auto attendant Level-2 for 0-9 dialing can also be configured for termination to particular extension or default termination with DISA AA1/2 Level-2 D-X Programming (Code-540-559). The DISA call receiving can be restricted to executive extension or non-interacting staff by Extension DISA Receive Program (Code-650 / 651) and on dialing this extension caller will get Invalid Number dialed message if activated the same. 15 Programming Manual -- Version-2 Built-17 Enter Programming Mode Programming can be done by all or programming enabled extensions only. All extensions can do programming in Default setting. The programming capability can be programmed by Code-654 Password Entry #*1234 Listen Programming Dial Tone (Intermittent Break in Tone) PHONOMAX In Presence of Programming Dial Tone programmer can enter Program Code. Once the program code is entered Programmer gets acceptance beep for valid Program Code. The parameters for that program code are to be entered once the acceptance beep is given Once the Program Code is entered Programmer remains in that code and required to flash for once or twice to get programming dial tone for going to next program code. When wrong Program Entry or Program Code is entered multiple beeps (Rejection Beeps) are heard. After Rejection Beeps if Programming Dial Tone is present then Program Code is to be entered After Rejection Beeps if Programming Dial Tone is absent then Programmer is within last Program Code entered Within Program Code while entering parameter at the end of valid parameter entry single beep will be heard.
