Safety Instructions: When replacing couplings on power cords or extension cords, the cord must remain water-splash proof. Before using the device, check it to make sure that it is in an orderly condition and safe to operate. In

Particular, check the power cord. Do not fill the water tank with any other substance than water. Doing so may cause a flammable hazard. This unit is only designed to run on water. Only use tap water. In hard water areas, we recommend that you use distilled water to prevent the formation of mineral deposits in the unit. When replacing couplings on power cords or extension cords, the cord must remain water splash proof. Before using the device check it to make sure its in orderly condition and safe to operate. Especially check the power cord. Do not steam any materials that contain Asbestos or that contain harmful substances. Never use the unit as a toy. This unit is not designed to be used by children or mentally immature users. Only use the unit as described in these operating instructions and user manual. The device must be used according to these specifications. Never stick any objects in the openings. Do not use the device if any openings are clogged in any way. When operating the unit it must NEVER be tipped more than 45 degrees to its vertical access in any direction in any direction. Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid. Avoid Skin contact with the Steam Cleaner. The high temperatures can cause serious injury and burns. Never point the device at persons, pets, or plants. Only use the device on surfaces that can withstand high temperatures. Always unplug the device from receptacle before changing accessories. Always keep the device out of reach of children. Never leave the device unattended during operation. This device is only suitable for use in the home. Do not use the device in explosive areas. Do not use the device if there are indications that it is not working properly. After switching the device off steam can still be released. Therefore, let the unit cool down for 5 minutes after unplugging unit and before storing the unit. Protect the device from rain and weather. Store the device in a cool and dry place. All repairs and service work (including cord repairs) must be done by an authorized service center. When cleaning electrical appliances (like Stoves) always make sure they are unplugged first. Electrical Equipment may not be cleaned if the steam comes into contact with wires and switches. This includes electrical heaters, lamps, hair dryers, and other units. Steam could cause an electrical default in these devices.

Filling the Water Tank As shown in Image B1 on page 7 Make sure the unit is unplugged from the wall. Then press the safety catch (7) downwards and turn it counter clockwise to open it.
9 Measure the volume of water in the measuring cup (#22 page 5) and place the water into the appliance using the funnel (#23 page 5). The maximum capacity of the water tank is 1.8 liters. Close the water tank by screwing the safety catch (#7 page 5) downwards and turning it clockwise as far as it will turn.
Assembling Your Steamer Connect the electrical cord to the wall outlet. Switch on the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF switch (#2 page 5). The Red Operating Control Light will light up (See Image B2 page 7) Connect the end of the steam gun (#12 page 5) to the steam connection (#6 page 5) until it engages with a audible clicking noise. (See Image B3 page 7) To remove the steam gun (#12 page 5) press the 2 side snaps and pull it out. (See image B4 page 7) The appliance is ready for use as soon as the green light for the steam status is lit. Next attach the accessories as described in the section called “Accessories”. The unit has a steam pressure lock to prevent it from being activated accidentally. Press the Steam Pressure Lock (#15 page 5) and the Steam Pressure Knob (#14 page 5) will be locked. Pressing the Steam Pressure Lock (#15 page 5) again to release the lock and the steam and the Steam Pressure Knob can be used again (See Image B5 page 7). Press the Steam Pressure Knob (#14 page 5). The Steam Pressure Lock (#15 page 5) must be released as you do so. Some drops of water may be omitted. This is only water that has condensed in the pipes. In the case direct the steam towards a cloth rag and hold the Steam Pressure Knob (#14 page 5) until all the water is omitted. To increase the volume of steam being omitted, turn the steam regulator (#5 page 5) counter clockwise. To reduce the volume of steam, turn the steam regulator (#5 page 5) clockwise. (See image B6 page 7)
Accessories Some of the accessories are housed on the steam cleaner in the accessory compartment. To open the casing and press the release button (#8 page 5) and lift the top of the steam cleaner unit off. This is also the same way if the user was going to use the accessories with the unit as taking the unit off its base makes it mobile for tool use. To extend the steam gun (#12 page 5) for example the floor tool, you can use any three of the extension tubes (#19 page 5). Do this by attaching the extension tube (#19 page 5) to the steam nozzle (#13 page 5) until you hear an audible click. You can now attach the next extension tube as needed. (See image B8 page 7). To remove the extension tubes press the knob to release it (#16 page 5) and pull of the tube (see image B9 page 8). The accessory adapter (#21 page 5) can be attached straight to the steam nozzle (#13 page 5) or to the extension tube (#19 page 5). Attach the accessory adapter until it is engaged with an audible click. (see image B10 page 8) The round brush (#29 page 5) and 45 degree nozzle (#30 page 5) can be attached to the accessory adapter (#21 page 5). The Compression nozzle (#28 page 5) may be used by attaching it to the accessory adapter (#21 page 5) and using the mark on the accessory adapter (#21 page 5) and turning it 90 degrees clockwise (see image B11 page 8). The following accessories can be used with the Compression nozzle: Textile Brush (#26 page 5), Glass Cleaning Attachment (#27 page 5), Round Brush's (#29 page 5) and 45 degree Nozzle (#30 page 5). The Attachment Connector (#20 page 5) can be attached directly to the Steam Nozzle (#13 page 5) or if needed to the Extension Tubes (#19 page 5). Attach the Attachment Connector (#20 page 5) until it engages with an audible clicking
10 noise. The following accessories can be attached to the Attachment Connector: Attachment (#17 page 5) with and without cleaning cloth (#25 page 5). When using attachment #17 hold the round end of the attachment elbow connector (#20 page 5) so the elbow connector points downwards. Insert the round end of the attachment connector elbow (#20 page 5) in the opening of the attachment (#17 page 5) until both parts engage. Turn the attachment connector elbow (#20 page 5) 180 degrees upwards (see image B12 page 8).
Use of the Accessories Floor tool – Connect the Floor tool attachment (#17 page 5) to the attachment connector elbow (#20 page 5). This attachment is used for cleaning floors. It can be used with or without a cleaning cloth (#25 page 5). To attach the cleaning clothe to the floor tool: Place the cleaning cloth on a flat surface. Place the attachment (#17 page 5) in the center of the cleaning cloth. Attach the cleaning cloth to both sides of the attachment using the 2 clips (#18 page 5). (see image B13 page 8) The cleaning cloth is designed for cleaning sensitive surfaces like wood or parquet or for drying. To make sure your floors can handle being cleaning with hot water contact the floor manufacturer and test a small part first. 45-degree Nozzle (30) & Round Brushes (#29 page 5) Attach these tools (with pressure) to the Accessory Adapter (#21 page 5) or the Compression Nozzle (#28 page 5). These accessories are designed to clean hard to reach places such as corners, edges etc. The round brush with yellow bristles is for places that require abrasive cleaning (it is not designed for cleaning sensitive areas but areas like grills or tile grout etc). The round brush with black brushes is designed for cleaning surfaces that are sensitive services. Use the round brushes with the brush cloth (#24 page 5) to dry surfaces after they have been cleaned. Upholstery Brush (#26 page 5) Using the mark on the brush attach the Upholstery tool to the Compression Nozzle (#28 page 5) by using force. See image B14 page 8. Glass Cleaning Attachment (#27 page 5) Place the legs on the Upholstery Brush (#26 page 5) into the the hooks on the Glass Cleaning Attachment (#27 page 5) and press the Upholstery Brush downwards until the 2 pieces connect together with an audible clicking sound. (See Image B15 page 8). To remove the Glass Cleaning Attachment pull the legs forward and lift the Upholstery brush up. The Glass Cleaning Attachment is designed to clean Windows, Mirrors, Glass Surfaces, and Ceramic tile. Window Cleaning Step 1 – Spray steam evenly from a distance of 8 inches. IMPORTANT – Glass can rupture or crack if water is to hot or glass surface is to cold. always make sure glass surface is warm.

Step 2 – Switch off the steam and use the Squeegee Attachment to wipe off the moisture moving from top to bottom.

Switch the steamer appliance off by pressing the ON/OFF button. Make sure the Red operating control light (#3 page 5) is no longer lit and unplug the electrical cord from the wall.

Release the steam pressure by pressing the steam pressure knob (#14 page 5). Slowly press the safety catch (#7 page 5) downwards and turn it counter clockwise so that the remaining steam can escape from the water tank. 5. Make sure the water tank is empty. CAREFUL – any water in tank will be hot. 6. Wait a few minutes and then top off the water level to a maximum of 1.9 quarts of water. 7. Close the water tank by clicking the safety catch (#7 page 5) downwards and turning it clockwise as far as it will go. IMPORTANT – Any time you are working around hot water or steam always wear protective gloves.

StorageThe appliance can be stored into 2 positions: Horizontal- When storing in this position make sure to attach the attachments to the rear of the canister (see picture B17 page 8). and Vertical- When storing in this position make sure to attach the attachment to the bottom of the canister (see picture B18). IMPORTANT – Always empty the steam cleaner's tank of all liquid and leave the unit open to dry before storing.
WARRANY INFORMATIONWarranty Information for the Prolux ProLift Steamer The manufacturer Prolux provides warranty of this steam cleaner for a time period of 1 year on the appliance, starting from the date on which the appliance is sold to the end user. Accessory Tools are covered for a period of 90 days. The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by an authorized service center. In case of warranty contact your authorized Prolux dealer you bought the unit from. In case of warranty issues the customer is responsible for paying for all shipping costs to and from the warranty center and Prolux is responsible for paying for all parts and labor associated with the warranty claim. When making a claim under the warranty, the proof of purchase (with purchase date) must be submitted. The warranty will not apply in cases of: - Non-Normal wear and tear (example- commercial use) - Incorrect use, e.g. overloading of the appliance, use of non-approved accessories - Use of force, damage caused by external influences - Damage caused by non-observance of the user manual, e.g. connection to an unsuitable mains supply or non-compliance with the installation instructions or being dropped - Partially or completely dismantled appliances.
