Multi-Screen Transcoder/Encoder
Designed to address the increasing demand for Internet TV, 3G/4G mobile TV and broadcast mobile TV services, and to enable deployment of next generation IPTV applications such as "Sync and Go" TV, Harmonic’s ProStream™ 4000 series multi-screen transcoder/encoder is the ideal product to transcode MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 AVC content to codecs used for those applications, in an all-IP environment.

Featuring an all-IP architecture, the ProStream 4000 transcoder can be easily added to an existing IP headend, allowing operators to offer Mobile TV channels and Internet TV channels, as well as "Sync and Go" services. The ProStream 4000’s software application runs on a powerful hardware platform, providing unequalled flexibility and enabling support for a large variety of audio/video codecs.
