[sche2] 551 Inglese - 1 (PULICOL) (09.06.99 - 2ª Bozza/Pell.) 551/6.99 PULICOL ® GEL SOLVENT FOR REMOVING ADHESIVES AND PAINT • Do not use PULICOL on baking paint because it would have little effect. APPLICATION Trowel or brush PULICOL on the adhesive or paint residue to be removed; wait until the residue softens or dissolves, them remove it with a flat-edged trowel. If the surface is smooth and nonabsorbent, e.g. marble or ceramic tile, wash it with a solution of caustic soda and rinse thoroughly with water. If the surface is rough and/or absorbent, e.g. cementitious screeds or scratch coats, remove the residue with sandpaper or a wire brush. Do not wash wood surfaces, sandpaper them only. The amount of time PULICOL should be left on before removing it depends on the type of adhesive and its thickness, for example: ADESILEX F57 requires a few minutes ADESILEX V4 requires a few minutes ADESILEX G19 requires approx. 30 minutes ADESILEX G12 requires approx. 45–60 minutes COVERAGE WHERE TO USE TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS For removing old natural and synthetic resin-based adhesives and paint. PULICOL is composed of a mixture of solvents in the form of a gel that is easy to trowel or brush on. Typical applications PULICOL is highly effective in dissolving all resin-based adhesives and paints only a few minutes after application. • Removing old adhesive from floors in marble, ceramic tile, wood, concrete, cementitious levelling coats, gypsum, metal, etc. • Removing old adhesive from coverings in ceramic and mosaic tile, marble, concrete, wood, gypsum, metal, fibrous concrete, etc. • Removing paint from surfaces in metal, wood, concrete, etc. RECOMMENDATIONS • Do not mix PULICOL with water. • Do not use on substrates that can be damaged by solvents, e.g. certain plastics, rubber, PVC, surfaces treated with decorative enamel that is not resistant to solvents, or on varnished wood floors. ® Coverage depends on the amount and type of adhesive: as a general rule, coverage is 300 g/m2. WARNING PULICOL does not require labelling as an inflammable product. The gel prevents solvents from evaporating rapidly and therefore it does not have a very offensive odour. However the usual precautions should be taken that are advisable when working with chemical products, particularly solvents. PULICOL is harmful. PACKAGING 6- and 1-kg drums.
