Growing potential of 700% in the wall mounts
In the past,most of the people put their TVs (CRT) on cabinet or other existing furniture; therefore the mounts were sold at one to ten TV ratio.
Today, Plasma/LCD screens are a showpiece in the home; screens are displayed like a picture on the wall. Because of the new screen sizes and the light weight customers are no longer restricted by old style furniture or cabinets and about 70% of new screens are mounted on the wall.
Result,the potential of the mount sales is increasing by 700% and the product is becoming an essential add-on while selling a Plasma/LCD screen.

How to convince the consumer to buy our products in your stores The problem: Consumers are nervous about installing by themselves expensive Plasma/LCD screens, that they have purchased for their home or office. Therefore many customers hire professional installers who tend to install basic mounts with little or no flexibility, as the installer earns his money on labor chargers. The solution: Barkan’s patented design Plasma/LCD mounts offer additional features and flexibility of use and positioning. The Plasma/LCD mounts consist of two parts. A. A bracket that securely mounts to the wall. B. An adaptor that easy connects to the screen. Now it is as easy as 1, 2, 3,

variety of exceptionally sturdy and stable mounts for large LCD and plasma screens. The LCD mounts support a maximum load of 85 kg/187 lbs and are designed to comply with the most stringent international quality and safety standards. The mounts are equipped with special mechanisms and features that do much to improve the viewing experience: flat, secure “picture like” wall hanging; quick and easy assembly; fallproofing; easy tilting without tools; theft protection; and micro adjustments in all directions after installation.

We have been looking for a no tools solution that would allow for the free movement in the search for the ultimate viewing angle. We tested countless types of friction pads from plastic to steel. None of them worked to our standards, the screen failed to remain in the same position after tilting and the screen would just lean down. One day one of our engineers asked a very simple question "Which material used in our daily life has a very high friction coefficient?" After a few minutes of silence he answered: "friction pads in the brakes of the car you are driving". We put them in our tilt mechanism and now you can tilt the screen at any angle and count on the “brake pads” holding the screen in the perfect viewing position. Barkan has a world patent on this technology.

A full 15% of our annual sales revenues are invested in product development.
