QAM Egress Option for DSAM Finds signal leakage quickly and cost-effectively! yy Verifies leak-free craftsmanship before leaving the site yy Easy-to-use with spectrum presets and channel locators yy A scalable, complementary tool for managing leakage yy Helps identify and solve LTE signal interference The QAM egress option for DSAM handhelds lets technicians quickly detect and identify cable system leaks and LTE interference by connecting a near-field or directional antenna to the DSAM input port. The test mode presets a spectrum scan for the range selected and displays the active plan’s known channel locations with color-coded overlays. The mode then algorithmically analyzes each spectrum scan to identify characteristics of QAM signals and LTE interference as defined by the DSAM’s channel plan. When QAM signatures or LTE signals are detected, channel identification bars turn red and emit a beep for every scan with QAM or LTE signals present. And, the live spectrum display lets a technician quickly locate a leak source by moving the antenna to find the peak receive level.
