QI-SCD15-M1 High-Performance Shortwave Infrared Camera Features QI-SCD15-M1 with standard housing Overview The QI-SCD15-M1 camera is a high-sensitivity VIS-SWIR camera with extended spectral range from 0.5um to 1.7um. The camera uses a 640x512 format InGaAs detector with 15um x 15um pixel pitch and integral antiblooming. On-board correlated double sampling delivers a dynamic range in excess of 70dB with read noise of less than 40 rms electrons making it ideal for light-starved applications (Total noise including dark current is typically 60 e-rms). Available with both 16 bit CameraLinkTM and analog NTSC output, the QI-SCD15-M1 will run from 30 FPS to 120FPS depending upon factory configuration. Automatic gain and exposure control are available to optimize image quality over a large range of imaging conditions, and a proprietary, adaptive 3-point non-uniformity correction provides high quality imagery over -40°C to +70°C operating conditions. The QI-SCD15-M1 also offers the unique ability to operate in either a conventional SWIR imaging mode, or in Asynchronous Laser Pulse Detection (ALPD). In ALPD mode, the detector serves as a two dimensional sensor capable of capturing short duration laser pulses and providing the x-y position of those pulses in both daytime and night-time operation. Multiple asynchronous spots can exist simultaneously in the same field of view making the QI-SCD15-M1 ideal for see-spot operations. Noise and image stability is optimized using proprietary thermal stabilization techniques, and system performance is assured though 100% qualification testing of each production unit. Full characterization data sets including mean-variance and noise equivalent irradiance plots are provided with each camera delivered. The QI-SCD15-M1 camera is available in the standard, miniaturized camera housing shown above. Alternatively, the same camera is available in a modular QI-SCD15-FLEX configuration allowing the camera to be used in applications where space claims are tight or unusually shaped.  640x512 resolution, 30-120 fps (29.97FPS in NTSC mode)  15-bit digitization  Low read noise of <40 e- rms  Imaging or ALPD Mode  Extended spectral response from 0.5um to 1.7um  Snapshot image capture (to avoid rolling shutter artifact)  Programmable operation (NUC, AGC, Trigger, ALPD)  Camera Link and RS-170 analog output  Mil-spec environment  Internal “free running” mode or external trigger configurable  Standard camera housing or modular (flex configuration) design Benefits  Low power with configurable cooling set-point to optimize power/performance.  Low Image lag to eliminate image persistence issues  Extended spectral range increases sensitivity and allows for imaging of shorter wavelength illuminators  Compact size of standard camera fits small space claims  Flex Configuration adapts to very tight or unusually shaped OEM space claims  ALPD mode allows for “see-spot” operations in all lighting conditions with multiple, asynchronous laser sources Applications      UAV applications Semiconductor inspection Airborne reconnaissance (Haze penetration) 860, 1064 and 1550nm Laser spot detection (See spot) Bio Applications 10-10041-01-A1 July 2014, Quantum Imaging, Inc. reserves the right to make product design or specification changes without notice.
