Thank you for purchasing the Destinator LT Navigation System. You will find a detailed description of the Destinator LT Navigation System’s functions in the user manual supplied on CD Rom. This equipment is a high quality, technologically sophisticated and compact GPS supported navigation system and has been supplied with up-to-date map material. Operation of the equipment by the driver whilst the vehicle is in motion is forbidden by law. The driver will be held responsible for the consequences of any infringements.

3. Installing the Navigation Software The navigation software and the digital map material are on the memory card supplied. Installation happens relatively automatically. Just follow these simple steps: a. Switch the navigation system on b. Place the memory card in the navigation system’s memory card slot c. The navigation software is on the card and can be started immediately d. Start the navigation software by pressing the navigation button on the screen e. The navigation software needs a few seconds to start (map data is loaded in the background) f.
The navigation software’s start screen informs the user that it is forbidden for the vehicle driver to use the Destinator LT Navigation System whilst the vehicle is moving. Confirm that you have understood this by tapping the appropriate soft-button (“Agree”)
g. The navigation system is now ready for use and initially shows you the 2D map perspective It may take some time until the GPS receiver has acquired enough satellites during initial use of the GPS navigation equipment.

Note: In some car types GPS reception may be restricted even though there is a clear view of the sky. This can occur in vehicles which have, for example, a specially treated or thermopane windscreen. In these cases, it may be helpful to start the Destinator LT Navigation System outside the vehicle and install it once the GPS satellites have been acquired and your position has been determined. An external GPS antenna for the Destinator LT Navigation System is available as an accessory. Please ask your local reseller for information.
4. Operating the Navigation Software The soft-buttons on the main display are:
a. “Home Button” – store address (bottom right)
f.Button for info-field “next waypoint” (top left)
b. Charge indicator (bottom right)
g. Map view button (top left)
c. Battery status (bottom right)
h. “Menu” button (bottom left)
d. GPS symbol (red/green) (bottom right)
i. Button for optional info-field 1 (bottom left)
e. Compass showing North (top left)
j. Button for optional info-field 2 (bottom left)
All soft-buttons are chosen by simply tapping the appropriate symbol on the screen. The information which is to be shown in the optional info-fields can be chosen by repeated tapping of the soft-button. The context menu is opened by tapping anywhere on the screen – a further tap closes it.

5. How to enter your first destination… a.
Tap the “Menu” button

Tap the “Address” button
– the main menu will open – the input menu will open
(The address is entered using the displayed keyboard which is similar to that of a mobile phone. “C” is entered by tapping the letter “ABC” three times. Tap the “Switch” button to enter symbols or special characters). c.
Tap “City” and enter the first letter of the desired town name. A list will open showing a list of all towns beginning with that letter. Choose the desired town (town name will be highlighted) and then tap “Street” to enter the street name.
d.
Use the keyboard to enter the desired street name. Only the street names in the desired destination will be shown.
e.
Choose the desired street name (the street name will be highlighted).
f.
Tap “Number” and enter the appropriate house number. (At times it may occur that the house number is not included in the map material. In this case choose the house number closest.)
g.
Tap the “Navigate” button
at the bottom left of the screen.

The route calculation to the desired destination will begin. The programme automatically returns to the map view once the route has been calculated and you can begin your journey.
6. Other possibilities of entering destinations a.
The so-called “Home Button” can be found on the screen. By tapping this button you gain access to an address input menu. Choose your destination as described above (e.g. your home address). In future, navigation to the stored address will begin immediately once this button has been pressed.
b.
The Destinator LT Navigation System stores all recent destinations in a history list. These can be recalled at a later date should you wish to return there. Tap the “Menu” button and then the “History” button. A list of the recent destinations will be shown. Choose the desired destination and then tap the “Navigate” button (bottom left). The route will be calculated and you can begin your journey.

You can choose your destination from a number of pre-determined categories within an extensive POI (Points of Interest) list. Tap the “Menu” button and then the “POI” button. A list of various POI categories will open. Choose the desired category (e.g. airports) from the list and tap “Items”. You will be presented with a list of airports shown in order of the distance from your current position. Choose the desired airport shown in the next list and tap the “Navigate” button (bottom left). The route will be calculated and you can begin your journey.

7. Context Menu The context menu (information field in the map view) is opened by tapping anywhere on the screen. You can use the context menu to choose a point on the map as your destination, to recalculate the route, set a point on the map as your location or a point on the map as a favourite.
8. Installing the Destinator LT Navigation System in your car a. Connect the supplied car holder to the Destinator LT Navigation System (place the car holder in the counter bearing on the rear of the equipment and lock it in place). b. Moisten the suction cup and position the car holder on the windscreen in such a way that you can see the navigation screen without difficulty and so that it does not hinder a clear view of the road. c. Lock the suction cup in place. d. Use the supplied charging cable as required to connect the Destinator LT Navigation System to the vehicle’s power supply in order to recharge the battery during the journey.

Eine vollständige Dokumentation sämtlicher Funktionen des Destinator LT Navigationsgerätes finden Sie auf der mitgelieferten CD Rom. Bei dem Gerät handelt es sich um ein technisch hochwertiges, kompaktes und GPS gestütztes Navigationsgerät, das mit aktuellem Kartenmaterial ausgestattet ist. Die Bedienung des Navigationsgerätes durch den Fahrer ist während der Fahrt gesetzlich verboten. Der Fahrer haftet für die Folgen etwaiger Verstöße.

3. Installation der Navigationssoftware Auf der mitgelieferten Speicherkarte befindet sich die Navigationssoftware und das digitale Kartenmaterial. Die Installation erfolgt weitestgehend automatisch. Folgen Sie den folgenden Installationsschritten: a. Schalten Sie das Navigationsgerät ein. b. Führen Sie die Speicherkarte in den Aufnahmeschacht des Navigationsgerätes ein. c. Die Navigationssoftware befindet sich auf der Speicherkarte und kann sofort gestartet werden. d. Starten Sie anschließend die Navigationssoftware durch Drücken des Navigationsschalters auf dem Bildschirm. e. Der Start der Navigationssoftware benötigt einige Sekunden (Kartendaten werden im Hintergrund geladen). f.
Der erste Bildschirm der Navigationssoftware weist darauf hin, dass die Bedienung des Destinator LT Navigationsgerätes durch den Fahrer während der Fahrt untersagt ist. Bestätigen Sie durch Antippen des entsprechenden Funktionsfeldes („annehmen“), dass Sie die Informationen zur Kenntnis genommen haben.
g. Das Navigationsgerät ist nun betriebsbereit und bietet Ihnen zunächst eine 2D-Kartenansicht. Es kann beim ersten Einsatz des GPS Navigationsgerätes einige Minuten dauern, bis der GPS Empfänger eine ausreichende Anzahl von Satellitensignalen empfängt.

Hinweis: In einigen Auto-Modellen kann es vorkommen, dass der GPS Empfang trotz freier Sicht zum Himmel nur eingeschränkt möglich ist. Ursache hierfür können z.B. spezielle Sonnenschutz-Windschutzscheiben sein. In diesen Fällen ist es hilfreich, die erste Inbetriebnahme des Destinator LT Navigationsgerätes außerhalb des Fahrzeuges vorzunehmen. Eine externe Antenne ist für das Destinator LT Navigationsgerät als Zubehör erhältlich.

Alle Funktionsfelder werden durch einfaches Antippen der Symbole auf dem Bildschirm angewählt. Wählen Sie durch mehrfaches Antippen der Wahl-Infofelder die gewünschte Information auf dem Hauptbildschirm. Durch Antippen einer beliebigen Stelle des Bildschirmes öffnen Sie das „Kontextmenü“ - ein weiterer Fingertipp schließt das Menü Nähere Informationen unter Pkt. 7).

5. So geben Sie Ihr erstes Ziel ein … a.
Tippen Sie auf den Menüschalter
– das Hauptmenü öffnet sich

Tippen Sie auf den Schalter „Adresse“ – das Eingabemenü öffnet sich (Die Adresseingabe erfolgt über die abgebildete Tastatur ähnlich der Tastatur eines Mobiltelefons. Der Buchstabe „C“ wird mittels dreimaligen Antippens der Buchstabentaste „ABC“ ausgewählt. Um Symbole oder Umlaute einzufügen, tippen Sie die „Umschaltertaste“.)

Tippen Sie auf das Feld „Stadt“ und geben Sie die ersten Buchstaben des gewünschten Städtenamens ein. In der Liste werden alle Städte angezeigt, die mit den eingegebenen Buchstaben beginnen. Wählen Sie den gewünschten Städtenamen aus (Städtename farbig hinterlegt) und wechseln Sie zur Eingabe des gewünschten Straßennamens „Straße“.
d.
Geben Sie mittels der Tastatur den gesuchten Straßennamen ein. Es werden nur die Straßennamen angezeigt, die in der ausgewählten Stadt vorkommen.
e.
Wählen Sie den gewünschten Straßennamen aus (Straßenname farbig hinterlegt).
f.
Tippen Sie auf das Feld „Nr.“ und geben Sie die gesuchte Hausnummer ein. (Es kann vorkommen, dass die gesuchte Hausnummer nicht im Kartenmaterial enthalten ist. Markieren Sie die nächstliegende Hausnummer)

Die Berechnung der Route zum ausgewählten Fahrtziel beginnt. Ist die Route berechnet, wechselt das Programm automatisch zurück zur Kartenansicht und Sie können Ihre Fahrt antreten.
6. Weitere Möglichkeiten der Zieleingabe a.
Auf dem Hauptbildschirm befindet sich der sogenannte „Home Button“. Tippen Sie auf den Schalter. Beim ersten Antippen gelangen Sie in das Adresseingabemenü dieses Funktionsfeldes. Wählen Sie nach dem oben beschriebenen Muster eine Zieladresse aus (z.B. Ihre Wohnadresse). Bei späterem Antippen des „Home Button“ startet die Navigation direkt und berechnet den Weg zur eingegebenen Adresse ohne weitere Eingaben.
b.
Das Destinator LT Navigationsgerät speichert die letzten berechneten Fahrtziele und stellt sie zum nochmaligen Abruf bereit. Tippen Sie dazu auf den Schalter „Hauptmenü“, tippen Sie auf den Schalter „Verlauf“. Dort finden Sie eine Liste der zuletzt angefahrenen Ziele. Markieren Sie das gewünschte Fahrtziel und tippen Sie auf das Funktionsfeld “Navigieren” (unten links). Die Route wird berechnet - Sie können Ihre Fahrt antreten.
c.
Sie können aus einer umfangreichen POI Liste in verschiedenen Kategorien Ihre Ziele auswählen. Tippen Sie dazu auf den Schalter „Hauptmenü“, tippen Sie auf den Schalter „POI“. Dort finden Sie eine Liste mit verschiedenen POI Kategorien. Wählen Sie aus der Liste die gewünschte Kategorie (z.B. Hotels) aus und klicken Sie auf „Objekte“. Wählen Sie in der angezeigten Liste das gewünschte Hotel aus und tippen Sie auf das Funktionsfeld „Navigieren” (unten links). Die Route wird berechnet – Sie können Ihre Fahrt antreten.

Kontextmenü
Beim Antippen des Bildschirms öffnet sich das Kontextmenü (PopUp Fenster auf der Kartenansicht). Sie können mit Hilfe des Kontextmenüs einen Punkt auf der Karte als Fahrtziel auswählen, die Route neu berechnen lassen, einen Punkt auf der Karte als Standort setzen oder einen Punkt der Karte als Favoriten speichern.
8. Installieren Sie das Destinator LT Navigationssystem im Auto a. Verbinden Sie die mitgelieferte Saugnapfhalterung (Geräteaufnahme) mit dem Destinator LT Navigationsgerät (Halterung auf der Geräterückseite in das Gegenlager stecken und verriegeln). b. Befeuchten Sie den Saugnapf leicht und positionieren Sie die Halterung an einer Stelle der Windschutzscheibe, an der Sie den Bildschirm gut einsehen können, die Sicht auf die Straße aber nicht beeinträchtigt wird. c. Verriegeln Sie den Saugnapffuß. d. Verbinden Sie das Destinator LT Navigationsgerät bei Bedarf über das im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Autoladegerät mit dem Zigarettenanzünder und laden Sie den Geräte-Akku während der Fahrt auf.
