Air Transportation Notice regarding the Lithium-Ion Battery for the Ranger Quadra system Dear Distributor/Photographer, The Elinchrom Lithium-Ion battery for Ranger Quadra (Code N°19295) contains Lithium-Ion. According to UN Transportation Regulations 3480, all shipments containing Lithium-Ion battery cells are subject to dangerous goods regulations for air, road, rail and sea transport. General requirement for the admittance of Lithium-Ion battery for transpiration is that all Lithium-Ion batteries must have successfully passed the test procedures of UN Manual of Test and Criteria, Part III and that tests have to be certified. Please see the Certificate section for more information. When travelling, you are required to follow the regulations, consolidated by the US Department of Transportation and IATA, regarding transports by air. Please be aware of the following regulations regarding air transport.
Elinchrom recommendations when travelling. Lithium-Ion battery (Code N°19295) for Ranger Quadra. Always take the fuse out of the Lithium-Ion battery, whether the battery is connected to the unit or not. Any spare Lithium-Ion battery, not connected to the Ranger Quadra generator must be protected against shortcircuits. To do so follow safety cautions: • Re-glue the yellow auto-adhesive warning sheet if available. • Use masking tap with a hard cover (e.g. cardboard) on the connectors. • Pack the spare Lithium-Ion battery individually in a strong plastic bag. Do not mix with any other object. Lithium-Ion batteries for Ranger Quadra, connected to the Ranger Quadra generator can be either in checked-in baggage or in carry-on baggage. Spare Lithium-Ion batteries for Ranger Quadra, not connected to the Ranger Quadra generator can only be in carryon baggage. Please try to travel light: Maximum 1X Ranger Quadra Pro Set as carry-on baggage.
Certificate The Certificate that the UN test of the Elinchrom Lithium-Ion battery for Ranger Quadra (Code N°19295) has been successful can be downloaded on the Elinchrom website in the Support area under EL Manuals Actual Products.
Note The safety of this product is certificated as above. The decision on whether or not to permit transport rests with the relevant check-in and security agents.
