New software can be delivered over the air, eliminating the need for the user to bring the device to a service facility. www.quectel.com Quectel Enhanced Technology DFOTA DFOTA (Delta Firmware Upgrade Over The Air) function allows user to upgrade the firmware of Quectel 3G modules over the air. It can upgrade the firmware to a newer version or downgrade to an older one. By using DFOTA, user only need to download the delta package into the module, which contains only the differences between the current and target firmware versions, thus reducing the amount of data transmitted and accelerating the speed of firmware upgrade. OpenCPU: GSM/GPRS module acts as a main processor. Customer can design their applications conveniently. Jamming Detection: It allows Quectel module to detect GSM jamming signals. When jamming is detected, Quectel module sends a notification to MCU, reporting the presence of active jamming of the GSM mobile communication network. RIL Driver(for Android or WinCE): Radio Interface Layer (RIL) is a software layer which provides an interface between operating system (Android/ WinCE) and radio hardware. DTMF Codec: Dual-tone multi-frequency. Quectel provides an economical solution to embed the encoding/decoding DTMF in GSM/GPRS module.
