Questions and Answers Wisconsin Department of Health Services RFB 3008 DPH-CB Printer Paper Check Stock 1. August 3, 2012 In order to guarantee in writing and manufacturing a product that's compatible with the Lexmark/Standard Register MICR printer, please provide the model number(s) Standard is using for imprinting. The State of WI WIC Program uses the following Source Technology Printer models in varying quantities throughout the state:  ST 9216  ST 9325  ST 9410  ST 9512  ST 9530  ST 9612/9620 2. In continuation of model number question number one , please provide the type of toner presently being purchased. Is Standard Register purchasing OEM toner from Lexmark or is Standard purchasing an aftermarket make (AKA refill). If an aftermarket make is being purchased please provide toner make up along with model number to ensure toner compatibility. The State of WI WIC Program is currently using a combination of both OEM and non-OEM toners in the MICR printers. All toners used have been pre-tested with our current check stock and have passed our banking vendor screening. Since the RFB specifies on page 20: “The attached cost sheet for vendors must reflect use of the Cascade CheckSecur Platinum paper in the bid”; bidding Cascade’s CheckSecur Platinum paper will satisfy the compatibility requirement. 3. Would you allow Standard Register to change or update the imprint printer model number or toner series after this bid is complete and the contract is in place without letting the forms vendor know? If the WIC Program ever changes printers or toners; we would test not only the toner, but the compatibility with the paper. In any case, we would work with all of our vendors to assure that there are no issues relating to any of these changes. 4. Can we bid on the imprinting program Standard Register now does in order to provide a one stop shop for this program? This question is outside the scope of this bid as Standard Register does not provide any imprinting services for the WI WIC Program.
