Regarding the new change of Digital output format requirement to “12 bit Camera link or USB connection” (used to be 14 bit): May I confirm that 14-bit is still accepted? (ie. 12 bit camera link or higher).
Answer 7:
Yes, that is correct. 12 bit camera link or higher. See amendment 3.
Questions 8: As a Camera Link interface SWIR camera is being requested by the customer, do they require a Camera Link interface cable (between camera and frame grabber)? Yes or No? Answer 8:
Yes, a Camera link interface cable with a male MDR-26 connector is required. See amendment 3.
Question 9:
If a Camera Link cable is required, what length does the customer need? 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m, 7m, other?
Answer 9:
Minimum 7m length is required. See amendment 3.
Question 10: If a Camera Link frame grabber is to be used, does the customer still require a "PCI express, GigE or USB2/USB3 data interface with cables"? Our proposed Camera Link solution would not require the need of an additional interface card. If the customer does require this interface card for other purposes, what cable length (GigE or USB) do they require? 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m, 7m, other? Answer 10:
Yes, "PCI express, GigE or USB2/USB3 data interface with cables" is still required. Minimum 7m length with MDR-26 connector. See amendment 3.
Questions 11: For clarification, "power supply with cables" implies all required cabling to operate the power supply only. Is it assumed within that description that the data interface cable (as mentioned above (1)) is included? Yes or No? Answer 11:

Amendment 3: Amendment 3 to solicitation no. W6369-17-X011 is raised to make a change to Annex A section 4, Requirements. Solicitation no W6369-17-X011 is hereby amended as follows: In ANNEX A, section 4, Requirements, insert the following: 4.
Requirements
4.1
SWIR Camera
Required quantity: 1 SWIR camera The equipment must meet at a minimum the following technical requirements: Specification Sensor Type Operating Temperature Spectral Response
Requirement InGaAs -20°C to 40°C or better 0.9um to 1.7um (or broader, on the condition that the 0.9 um to 1.7 um waveband is included) Focal plane array format 640 X 512 Pixels Pixel Pitch 15um or larger Exposure Times 0.5 to 1s mandatory, longer exposition time desired Acquisition Modes Frame per frame uncompressed image, similar to a CCD camera. Possible image formats: TIFF, FITS or other uncompressed image format. Noise Less than 50 e-/s Digital output format 12 bit Camera link (or higher) or USB connection – minimum7m length with MDR-26 connector Optical Interface C Mount Camera Weight 1 Kg or less ITAR/Non-ITAR Camera can be either ITAR or non-ITAR 4.2
