Quick Start Guide ESUL8P-PC2-D* / ESML8P-PC2-D* Introduction Welcome to KBC Network’s Quick Start Guide for the ESUL8P-PC2 and ESML8P-PC2, 10-port, PoE switches. This document provides some quick tips on how to get up and running. For more detailed information see the Downloads section below. Industrial Ethernet Switch System Contents Equipment Required for Physical Deployment Qty Description 1 Ethernet switch fitted with DIN rail mount. 2 Wall-mount brackets with screws. 1 Pluggable terminal block. You will need a 48Vdc power supply, these are supplied separately. Connect the DIN rail or wall-mount brackets as required. Connect a 48Vdc power supply, (supplied separately). If using only one power source, connect pin 1 to pin 5 and pin 2 to pin 6 otherwise the Power Fail LED will be lit. PWR2 P-Fail PoE 1-8 ON Power is supplied to the unit Each RJ45 Ethernet port has two green indicators. The yellow lamp indicates port speed, and the green lamp indicates port link state. OFF No power to the unit Lower LED Status Description ON Power is supplied to the unit OFF No power to the unit OFF ON Power to PWR1 or PWR2 has failed OFF Power is functioning to both or none of the power inputs. ON The port is supplying power to the powered device. FLASH OFF There is no powered device attached or the power to the device has failed OFF Upper LED Link/Active Ethernet RJ45 Port P1 – P8 Status LED 4. 5. 6. Install SFP modules as required. Link external devices to the switch with appropriate cables. Connect the fault alarm contact if required. Each RJ45 Ethernet port has two indicators. The yellow lamp indicates port speed, and the green lamp indicates port link state.
