Clean With Scooba With the Clean tank filled and properly installed, place Scooba in the center of the room, press “Power” and then press “Clean.” Scooba will begin a cleaning cycle. Let Scooba clean until the tank is empty (approximately 45 minutes). Scooba’s “Clean” button will display the following: Clean Button Light Green Blue/Green pulse Solid blue What it means Cleaning Almost complete Complete Empty Scooba When Scooba has completed a cleaning cycle, empty and rinse Scooba’s tanks. 2 1 Remove Scooba’s tank. Before You Get Started Understand how iRobot Scooba cleans Scooba’s Cleaning Pattern Scooba’s Cleaning System Scooba is a robot that cleans differently than the way most people clean their floors. Scooba uses iRobot’s AWARE™ Robot Intelligence System to determine the best way to pass over and clean every section of the floor. Scooba performs 4 cleaning methods in one pass: 3 3 3 Place battery in Scooba by rotating the battery into its slot, making sure the yellow tabs fit inside the guide holes. Preps – Picks up loose crumbs, sand, and dirt Washes – Uses fresh, clean solution Scrubs – Gently scrubs your floor, removing dirt, grime, and spills While Scooba is cleaning, it calculates the best path to clean your floor and it determines the best times to exhibit its various cleaning behaviors: Dries – Picks up the dirty solution, leaving the floor clean and dry* Spiraling: Enables Scooba to efficiently clean a concentrated dirty area Wall following: Enables Scooba to clean the room perimeter and navigate around furniture and obstacles 4 Plug the Power Supply into Scooba to charge the battery. For best performance, iRobot recommends charging Scooba's battery overnight the first time only. Power Button Light Red Green pulse Green fast pulse Solid Green Blinking Red Battery Status Battery empty Charging 16-hour refresh charge Fully charged Battery not installed Fill Scooba’s Tank 2 1 Room crossing: Enables Scooba to clean new areas while crisscrossing the room 3 IMPORTANT: Let Scooba complete an entire cleaning cycle every time you clean SINK TABLE STOVE START Internal Dry Mode At the end of the cleaning cycle, Scooba will enter a brief internal drying mode to remove any liquid remaining on its brushes and inside its cleaning mechanisms. During this time Scooba’s Clean light will blink blue. Open Scooba’s tank. Lift the tank clear of the robot and place the tank on a flat surface. Using the included measuring cup, measure and pour Clorox® Scooba cleaning solution into the Clean tank. FRIDGE 4 Scooba’s Cleaning Pattern 5 6 * Floor drying time may vary. Charge Scooba’s Battery 2 1 Release Scooba’s tank by pushing the handle. Grasp the handle and pull Scooba’s tank up. Slowly fill the remainder of the Clean Secure the tank cap and place tank with warm or cold tap water. Tilt the tank back in the tank holder. the tank and ensure it is completely filled to the top. Close the tank by pressing down on the tank. You will hear a click when the tank is properly installed. Use of plain tap water or extremely small amounts of cleaning solution reduces Scooba’s ability to recognize water in the Clean tank. Always use the recommended amount of cleaning solution and water.
