Quick Start Guide SP12 PoE Splitter DIMENSIONS AND PORTS PACKAGE CONTENTS 9V 12V 5V Voltage Selector Switch DC Power Out 7.5V Data Power In Port Width 78 mm (31/16”) Height 27mm (11/16”) Ensure that the items received match those listed on the order form and the packing slip. In addition to this manual the packing box includes: 1. One palm-sized SP12 PoE Splitter. 2. Two Power cables. One Red 5.5x2.5mm and one Black 5.5x2.1mm INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Length 72 mm (23/4”) IMPORTANT 1. Install SP12 PoE Splitter for surface mounting as required. 2. Four mounting screws (not included) can be used to secure the splitter to a surface close enough to the target device for the power cables to reach. 3. Insert the PoE Ethernet cable coming from the PoE Switch or power injector hub into the Data Power In Port. 4. Connect a CAT5/6 (not included) Ethernet cable into the RJ45 Data Out Port on the splitter and connect it into the data port on the target device. 5. Determine which power cable fits the target device. The red cable has a 2.5mm connector and the black has a 2.1mm connector. Connect the 5.5mm end of the cord to the DC Power Out port on the splitter and the other end of the cord into the power input of the target device. 6. Ensure that the setting on the voltage selection switch on the splitter is set to the power requirements of the target device (12V, 9V, 7.5V, or 5V). 7. The LED indicators will glow Yellow to indicate the splitter is powered on and functioning. • It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that the mounting surface is suitable for the chosen installation method. • Based on installation location and surface type, supplied mounting hardware may be inadequate. • Mounting hardware is site-specific and will need to be supplied by the installer. CAUTION • Ensure the voltage selection switch on the side of the splitter is set to the appropriate level for the target device. Improper voltage can result in damage to the non PoE device being powered by the splitter. i3-TRNG-CAMS-SP12.indd The SP12 PoE Splitter receives power and data from the power over Ethernet network and separates the data from the power to provide both the data and 12V , 9V, 7.5V, or 5V direct power to a non PoE enabled device. • Four built-in mounting brackets for surface mounting (mounting screws not included) • One RJ45 PoE in port • One RJ45 Ethernet Data Out Port • One DC Power Out Port • One Voltage setting switch. 12V, 9V, 7.5V, and 5V Data Out Port LED Indicators KEY FEATURES • • • • • • • • • Complies with IEEE802.3 10Base-T; IEEE802.3u, 100Base-TX; IEEE802.3ab, and 1000Base-T.
