About microSD™ cards: A microSD™ card is a removable flash memory card. Memory space of 4GB is embedded: you can expand memory by using an external microSD™ card. It is recommended that you format microSD™ cards before using.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: • Keep your tablet and its accessories out of the reach of pets. • Do not try to dry your tablet in a microwave oven. • Do not attempt to disassemble your tablet. • Do not use chemical products to clean your tablet. • Use only authorized battery chargers and accessories. • Ensure that the battery charger does not come in contact with conductive objects. • Using a tablet while driving may be prohibited and may disturb concentration. Always switch your tablet off and drive safely. • Switch off in explosive or dangerous areas, • Always switch your tablet off or select Airplane mode (select Settings > More > Airplane mode) when in aircraft. • Switch off in hospitals and near medical equipment • Tablets emit electromagnetic waves that may affect nearby electronic devices. When it is switched on, do not place your tablet close to delicate electronic equipment. GETTING STARTED: Charging the battery Power might not turn on if the battery voltage is too low or battery is discharged. You may need to charge the battery with the included charger for more than ten minutes. It is recommended that you charge the battery fully before using your SCAR™. Note: A red light blinks once if you press the LOCK/PWR key when there is not enough battery power to turn on the device. If so, charge the battery for at least ten minutes before you turn on the power. 1. Refer to Illustration A to locate AC Charger Port. Open the protective cover on the bottom right side of your SCAR™. This cover protects USB connector and USB OTG port. 2. Connect power connector as shown in Illustration B. 3. Connect the other end of power Illustration C cable to AC electricity outlet. 4. Plug in USB charger to an electrical outlet to begin charging. 5. Disconnect USB charger from SCAR™ when battery is fully charged. Turn on your SCAR™ tablet To start your tablet, press and hold the power key at the right side of your tablet for 5-10 seconds. Tab and drag the lock icon out of the circle to unlock. Drag the lock icon to right: you will go to the home screen. Drag the lock icon to left: you will go to the camera directly. Turn off your SCAR™ tablet Press and hold the power button until “Would you like to shut down?” dialog appears. Tap “OK” to power it off. Activating your cloud RFID management account If you have purchased a starter kit, you will find a welcome card with instructions and a 10-digit ACTIVATION CODE. Navigating the SCAR™ tablet After you enter into the systems, at the bottom of the screen, you'll find three Navigation buttons. They're always available. No matter what you're doing with your tablet, you can always get back to the main Home screen or return to previous screens: HOME

Common Touchscreen Operations
Action Tap
Tap a finger on the screen to touch an object, an icon, a control, a menu item, and so on. TheTap operation is similar to a mouse click on a computer.
Doubletap
Tap the screen twice in the same location. Doubletapping can zoom in, but it can also zoom out, or perform other functions.
Touch and hold
Touch part of the screen and keep your finger down. If available, a pop-up menu may appear, or the item you're long-pressing may get picked up so that you can drag (move) it around.
Swipe
To swipe, touch your finger on one spot and then drag it to another spot. Swipe up, down, left, or right to move content in the direction you swipe your finger.
Pinch
Use two fingers placed on the touchscreen to Pinch. Fingers start out separated and then are closed in a pinch motion. Use pinch to zoom out or reduce image size.
Spread
The opposite of pinch is spread. Begin with two fingers together and then spread apart. Use Spread to zoom out or enlarge an image.
Rotate
Rotate an image on the screen by touching with two fingers and twisting them around a visual center point, in a motion similar to turning a small knob.

Using the SCAR™ Tablet Camera The Camera app is a combination camera and camcorder. View photos and videos you take along with movies that you download. To take pictures and videos, first touch the Camera icon on a Home or All Apps screen. When Camera opens, you can a. Take a picture: Touch the blue button. b. View the most recently taken picture: Touch the thumbnail near the blue button. Installing the microSD™ card 1. Refer to Illustration A to locate Micro SD Slot. Open the protective cover on the bottom left side of your SCAR™. Insert microSD™ card into slot as shown in Illustration B. 2. Close the protective cover.
