It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that all pertinent legal requirements are met. Please contact your local weights and measures office for further details. 7.5.5 Sealing Scale Scales must be certified by an accredited organization, and a certification seal must be affixed before the instrument may be used as a certified scale. 7.5.6 Unlocking Scale When scales are in LFT mode, access to the technician mode (with the keypad) is blocked. To access the technician mode, proceed as follows: Switch off the scale or terminal. Remove the bottom plate of the scale by undoing the retaining screws (Torx T20). Caution: In order to remove the bottom plate it is necessary to break the certification seal! Once this seal has been destroyed, the scale must be recertified by an accredited organization, and a new certification seal must be affixed before the instrument may be used as a certified scale again! Hold down the service switch (pushbutton) on the analog PCB (indicated by an arrow in the drawings below), with power applied to the scale.
