RC-100 RC-100 THE REFERENCE ACHIEVED BY DIGITAL PRECISION The RC-100 is a hardware controller used to regulate each of the digitally equalized KSdigital loudspeakers. The speaker parameters can be individually adjusted with it in accordance with the prevailing acoustic ambience from the comfort of the listening position. The RC-100 can also be adjusted using an infra-red remote control making the loudspeakers themselves adjustable by remote control. Connection: With the standard network cable provided, the RC-100 can be connected to the lower RC-socket of the first loudspeaker, and connected to the lower socket of the second loudspeaker via the first loudspeaker’s upper socket. Utilizing this chain of links, any number of speakers can be connected and controlled by the RC-100. The order in which they are connected makes is irrelevant. Parameters: After connecting and switching on the speakers, the data from the master speaker (first connected speaker) can be read in and called up in the menu. These are in the following order: Volume Control: Gain: EQ1-Freq: EQ1-Gain: EQ1-Q: EQ2-Freq: EQ2-Gain: EQ2-Q: EQ3-Freq: EQ3-Gain: EQ4-Q: Lowshelving: Sublevel: Higshelving: Delay: Phase: Digital-In: FIR: Mono: Digital Volume: 0...75 -31dB ...0dB Sets the working frequency of the filter -6dB ... 6dB 0.1 ... 5.0 Sets the working frequency of the filter -6dB ... 6dB 0.1 ... 5.0 Sets the working frequency of the filter -6dB ... 6dB 0.1 ... 5.0 -6dB ... +6dB -6dB ... +6dB (only activated if the subwoofer is set to active) -6dB ... +6dB 0.0 ... 3.1m normal/reverse active/not active preset not active/active not active/active The Volume Encoder 1. Adjusts the total volume of the equipment 2. By pressing the knob, it gains access to the next menu level where the parameters can be adjusted. RC-100 The Mute Button alternately mutes and cancels the mute with each successive touch. Using the IR Remote Control (Optional) The remote control is switched into RC-100 mode by pressing the AUX button. Thereafter the volume can be controlled by pressing the “+” and “-” buttons. One can switch to the menu where the parameters can be adjusted by pressing OK and using the cursor buttons. Explanation of the Parameters: Volume Control: Controls the entire volume of the setup 0...75 Gain: Controls the digital gain EQx-Freq: Sets the operating frequency of the filter EQx-Gain: Lowers / raises the chosen operating frequency by the dB amount displayed. EQx-Q: Width of the frequency range in process. Low Shelving: Low shelving filter Sublevel: Controls the volume of the bass channel (only activated if a subwoofer is active. High Shelving: High shelving filter Delay: Delay of the entire configuration: 0.0 ... 3.1m Phase: normal/reverse Digital-In: Switches between digital and analogue inputs (not with KSD-Home loudspeakers). FIR: Reserved for future use. Mono: not active/ active (except on KSD-Home loudspeakers). Digital Volume: Switches the type of control for the total volume: Activate for C120, ADM22, ADM25, KSD2030, KSD2040 RC-100 KSdigital GmbH Altenkesselerstr. 17/D1, D-66115 Saarbrücken, fon 0681 - 7618-0463, www.ksdigital.de, [email protected]
