This model is fully assembled including transformer and grille. Finished in a non-reflecting ceiling white. Its elegant two-part, round, torsionmount CRS baffle presents an elegant hardware-free appearance and is exceptionally installer friendly. Its exclusive terminal block and spadelug taps allow fast connection as well as wattage selection and/or changes. The RCS8XT is complete with a versatile 8watt, 70.7/25-volt transformer. Unit is designed to be quickly mounted in a BBX8 enclosure with BRG8 tile bridge without any hardware. MBK8 mounting bracket provides ”blind mounting” without a backbox in a drywall or plaster ceiling.

The 8” RCS8XT speaker package is an excellent choice for no compromise inceiling audio projects where aesthetics and great sound are a key consideration. Unit’s unusually smooth frequency response, good low frequencies and postmounted tweeter will enhance the perceived environment in most higherceiling commercial applications. Typical applications include universities, hotel/motels, offices, banks, schools, restaurants, malls and wherever precise, wide-range transmission of audio is a necessity.

Unit shall be Penton Audio USA Model RCS8XT or approved equal. Assembly shall be comprised of a coaxial 8” loudspeaker with 10-ounce magnet, 1” Mylar dome tweeter complete with a 1/2” moving coil and neodymium magnet. It shall have a premounted transformer and two-part, non-reflective white baffle with no visible hardware.

Two-part baffle shall be CRS with inner steel mesh grille. Baffle shall be round with torsion-spring mounting.

Loudspeaker shall have wide-angle 96° dispersion at 2000 Hz. Cone shall be a damped, high-compliance type with a smooth extended response over a range of 40-18,000 Hz. Sensitivity shall be a minimum of 94 dB @ 1 watt, 1 meter.
