POWER ECHO PowerFuel FAQs What are the advantages of using ECHO PowerFuel? With ECHO PowerFuel, there are no problems or hassles because it’s ready to go, right from the can with: NO Measuring or Mixing Gas and Oil NO Ethanol NO Storage Issues – Short-term or Long-term NO Stale Fuel Issues Why is ECHO PowerFuel different from other ready-mixed fuels? ECHO PowerFuel is different because it contains ECHO Red Armor™ Oil. Red Armor Oil contains a special additive package unlike any air-cooled 2-stroke oil available today. This oil cleans, protects and removes engine deposits from the first use. It keeps new engines new and revitalizes old engines. It is simply the best 2-stroke oil available. What is Red Armor Oil? The right fuel mix oil can make the difference between a top performing, reliable engine and a highmaintenance, low powered engine. ECHO Red Armor engine oil incorporates powerful detergents that quickly remove existing carbon deposits, without sacrificing lubrication or film strength, and protects against future buildups. ECHO Red Armor oil is JASO FD and ISO L-EGD rated, which is the most stringent classification of aircooled 2-stroke oils. What Octane rating is in ECHO PowerFuel? ECHO PowerFuel is rated at 93 octane. Did you know higher octane fuel protects engines from the harmful effects of detonation? Detonation is an uncontrolled explosion in the combustion chamber which occurs after the spark plug fires. This produces severe internal engine damage to the piston, cylinder, and bearings. See the photo below for an example of the damage detonation can do to a piston. Does ECHO PowerFuel contain ethanol? ECHO PowerFuel contains NO ETHANOL! Ethanol can have damaging effects on an engine’s carburetor and other internal components. ECHO PowerFuel will help your equipment last longer because it does not contain ethanol. Will using ECHO PowerFuel affect my 5-year warranty? ECHO PowerFuel will protect your warranty because it eliminates the troubles and potential problems of using bad, stale, or suspect fuels. At the gas pump, you don’t have control over the quality of the fuel – with ECHO PowerFuel you do. It may cost a little extra for PowerFuel today but it will be much cheaper than paying for a costly engine repair down the road. How do I use ECHO PowerFuel? ECHO PowerFuel is ready-to-use right out of the can – no shaking needed. Simply remove the cap and pour it right in to your equipment’s fuel tank. The unique shape of the can top even eliminates the need to use a funnel. Be sure to tightly re-seal the cap when finished fueling and your PowerFuel will stay fresh for up to two (2) years. Do I need to add anything to ECHO PowerFuel? ECHO PowerFuel utilizes Red Armor oil which has a special additive package and a robust fuel stabilizer. Purchasing additional fuel additives and stabilizers are a thing of the past with ECHO PowerFuel. What is the fuel/oil mix ratio for ECHO PowerFuel? ECHO PowerFuel is pre-mixed at a 50:1 ratio. ECHO PowerFuel is recommended for all ECHO equipment (regardless of age) and can be used in any hand-held equipment powered by an air-cooled, 2-stroke engine.   POWER How long will ECHO PowerFuel stay fresh? ECHO PowerFuel will stay fresh if unopened up to five (5) years. After opening it will stay fresh for up to two (2) years as long as you re-cap the can after use. How long can I leave ECHO PowerFuel in my equipment? ECHO PowerFuel will remain fresh in your fuel tank for up to two (2) years. There is no need to winterize your equipment or empty the fuel tank for storage. ECHO PowerFuel will not decompose like standard gasoline. How does the mix last so long? ECHO PowerFuel isn’t just plain old gasoline mixed with oil. PowerFuel contains a proprietary premium fuel manufactured from selected blend stocks without benzene, olefins, or oxygenate. It has an extremely low sulfur content and never contains ethanol so the fuel mix will never separate. Can I use ECHO PowerFuel in a 4-stroke engine? ECHO PowerFuel is not recommended for 4-stroke engines. It is designed for use in any hand-held equipment powered by an air-cooled, 2-stroke engine. Should I still drain my fuel for storage when using ECHO PowerFuel? It is not necessary to drain unused ECHO PowerFuel from your equipment’s fuel tank unless it has remained in the tank for over two (2) years. Can I store ECHO PowerFuel in my garage or shed over the winter? ECHO PowerFuel should be stored in its original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and wellventilated area. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Can I recycle ECHO PowerFuel containers after I have used them? Empty ECHO PowerFuel containers should be recycled in accordance to any local authority requirements or through a licensed waste disposal contractor. Where can I buy ECHO PowerFuel?
