AVID HIFI LTD 26 July 2016 TODAY’S NEWS Announcing the new Reference Four Loudspeaker. Following the successful launch of our Reference loudspeakers at the Munich HIGHEND show, we’ve now expanded the range further to include our new entry level Reference Four. This employs the same unique cabinet construction and vibration damping techniques, sandwiching the drivers between metal plates and guiding unwanted resonances away from critical points to our internal tuned mass damping element. “With the right amplification the Reference Four will be a excellent choice for most domestic rooms, with the same design and build standards as our other models and for less than £10K” Matched to an appropriate room size it is more than capable of performing to the same high levels as our other Reference models. REFERENCE FOUR 1 AVID HIFI LTD 26 July 2016 Channelling harmful vibration normally felt in the loudspeaker cabinet to our mass damping element ensures the cabinet, loudspeaker chassis and especially the speaker cone remains free of colouration and the sound remains pure and smooth. Manufactured from up to 15mm aero-grade aluminium plate at our Huntingdon factory, each visually fixture free hand crafted cabinet contains one 6” Bass/Mid driver and a natural sounding 28mm soft dome tweeter, each retaining the titanium voice coil former for lightness and rigidity, identical to our other Reference models. The Reference Four cabinet is also reflex loaded, the bass performance being optimised and the tuned port exits below onto our diffusing plate minimising room positioning issues.
