REFLEX IQ-LOGGER Bluetooth Pairing Notes © REFLEX 2016 IQ-LOGGER BLuetooth Pairing 1 Introduction • V1.1.33 and later versions of the IQ-LOGGER software provide improved Bluetooth connectivity by using a com port fall back connection, when an incompatible Bluetooth stack is detected. • Computers using Toshiba Bluetooth radios, for example certain models of Panasonic Toughbooks are effected by this. • Pairing the IQ-LOGGER to a Toshiba Bluetooth radio follows a slightly different workflow compared to the normal pairing in Windows. • Once paired the IQ-LOGGER may have to be manually connected the first time it is used with the App, after which it should be automatically recognised by the App. • The pairing process for both Toshiba and normal Windows installations are illustrated in the following slides. • Please contact REFLEX If you are having problems connecting to other Bluetooth radio modules. © REFLEX 2017 IQ-LOGGER Bluetooth Pairing 2 TOSHIBA BLUETOOTH RADIO MODULE PAIRING © REFLEX 2016 IQ-LOGGER Tips and Tricks 3 Toshiba Bluetooth Radio Pairing • Turn on your IQ-LOGGER. • Click on the Bluetooth icon in the task bar to open the Bluetooth settings window and then click on the New Connection button and follow the wizard instructions. © REFLEX 2017 IQ-LOGGER Bluetooth Pairing 4 Toshiba Bluetooth Radio Pairing • Once the IQ-LOGGER appears select it and click next. © REFLEX 2016 IQ-LOGGER Bluetooth Pairing 5 Toshiba Bluetooth Radio Pairing • Once the IQ-LOGGER is successfully paired the Com port number will be displayed. • Clicking next will take you back to the Bluetooth settings window, where the IQ-LOGGER can now be seen. © REFLEX 2017 IQ-LOGGER Bluetooth Pairing 6 Toshiba Bluetooth Radio Pairing • Right click on the REFLEX IQ-LOGGER icon and select Connect. • If the security pop-up window appears, click on Yes to allow the paring to occur. • The icon will change to a connected icon. © REFLEX 2017 IQ-LOGGER Bluetooth Pairing 7 Toshiba Bluetooth Radio Pairing • Open the IQ-Logger software and navigate to the Configuration Window and using the pulldown list select your IQ-LOGGER. • If your IQ-LOGGER does not appear then you may have to refresh the list by clicking on the Refresh List button. © REFLEX 2017 IQ-LOGGER Bluetooth Pairing 8 Toshiba Bluetooth Radio Pairing • Your IQ-LOGGER will now be connected and should automatically connect to the software. • The following warning may appear after the IQ-LOGGER has disconnected, when entering a sleep state or being turned off. • The IQ-LOGGER should automatically reconnect again once activated and clicking on the OK button.
