This hotfix supports the efficient usage of INCA. It contains the most current bug fixes for INCA. The functionality of the bug fixes has been thoroughly tested. However, this hotfix has not been subject to the complete release tests of INCA. Therefore, it is not possible to guarantee the usual high quality standards for this hotfix. ETAS GmbH accepts no further obligation in relation to this hotfix.

___________________________________________________________________ INCA V7.0.0 HF23 Known issues and important hints ===================================== Important hints for operation with ES581.3: To support multiple clients with ES581.3 a major/structural change of INCA, driver and firmware was required. - When upgrading any of the INCA Versions V7.0 or V7.1 with INCA V7.0 SP15 or V7.1 SP2 also the corresponding other version needs to be upgraded to the new version. - If J2534 is used (e.g. for 3rd party access on ES581.3), an update of the ES581-J2534 driver to V2.0.7 or higher (part of HSP V10.2.0) is required. - Ensure the USB driver is updated to the latest version (part of HSP V10.2.0) Note: The ES581.3 firmware is automatically updated from the driver (if required).
Known issues with INCA 7.1HF23 and former hotfixes: - EHI #349083 Flashing with ES581.3 (and 3rd Party HW) fails - ST_MIN not respected Flashing via UDS/KWP with ES581.3 HW might fail, if a CAN frame separation time (STmin) > 0ms is used. In this case it might happen that the used separation time is sporadically lower than STmin. This is an issue with every 3rd Party HW (Vector, Kvasar, ES520). It is not issue with ES59x, ES910, ES511. - EHI #357577 ES581.3: UDS Flashing with ES581 fails Flashing with ES581.3 HW might fail, if the CAN bus load is high before flashing is started and the time from last HW initialization of ES581.3 till start of the flashing is too long. To avoid the failure, start flashing immediately.

Multiple clients are not supported. Only one SW application can set the CAN configuration, e.g. baudrate, for the ES581.3. The application that accesses the ES581.3 first is able to configure each CAN channel independently. The application accessing the ES581.3 second, e.g. a third party SW or an INCA AddOn, can only reuse the settings made by the first application. If the HW module that the second application accesses needs a configuration that differs from the configuration already set, the use of that module will fail.
