May. 1, 2011 #DS-8 digital trigger The DS-8 is a digital slave sensor to trigger two portable flash units. It has two hot-shoe mounts, to use two flashes, and an additional shoe-mount to attach the optional modeling lamp socket.(#10-401/N,E) It is designed to sync with modern digital camera with pre-flash systems. With camera’s on-board flash, it triggers the remote flash/s which mostly people use this set up along with umbrella. In this case, photographer can work freely without the problem of sync cord tangling around. The unit is housed in an aluminum casing, has an umbrella /tilthead to be mount- ed on 16mm stand spigot, or 1/4, 3/8 thread by means of removable adapter. With this set up, it can emulate mono bloc studio flash unit when use umbrella together. Unit has selection switch to adapt digital camera’s pre-flash sequence. Range is from 1, (instant sync,) to 2-4 preflashes, has 3.5mm socket for sync cord, and on/off switch. Working range is 8m, in-door use only.

#RT-09K-4 digital trigger This is a 4 channel radio frequency remote trigger, it is more versatile than the slave sensor as it does not require line of sight. The digital radio transmitter merges on top of the camera hot-shoe, low profile, and no antenna sticking out. The maximum range is 50m. It has a same casing design as the DS-8 slave sensor. The RF triggering, is possible to work indoor, behind pillar, wall or hiding somewhere, and of course, outdoor where as slave sensors can be blinded by the strong sun light. RT09K-4 works with our RT05T-4 transmitter as they share same circuit design. Unit contains one transmitter and one receiver. The channel indicator is indicated by one LED, which changes #RT-05T-4 4 different colors represented by 1-4 channels.

Optional modeling lamp holder to use with DS-8 and RT-09K4 triggers #10-401/N, lamp socket with shoe-mount and 1/4 female thread, 3.5m, 2 wire cable, US plug, in-line switch. UL./CSA ceramic socket #10-401/E, same as above, except with VDE European ceramic socket, and two prong plug.
