Remote Satellite Systems International KlasHopper KlasHopper is a revolutionary new mobile product that allows a laptop or desktop PC connect to the Internet or corporate network at high speeds over satellite links. KlasHopper consists of a plug-and-play PC card and a cable. KlasHopper works with any Inmarsat B HSD (High Speed Data) mobile terminal and can also be connected to high-speed VSAT terminals. In VSAT connections, KlasHopper can work at speeds up to 2mbit/s. KlasHopper uses an advanced PCMCIA algorithm that provides very high throughput under Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0. Dial Modes • V.25bis dial. This is an industry standard dialing method used by synchronous devices. • DTR dial “hot dial” (with DCD detection). Dial a pre-stored number in the satellite terminal. • Manual dial.
