W-WM-RP:TEMPLATE 6/2/10 4:09 PM Page 1 Bulletin W-WM-RP Series WM-P Wireless Temperature/Humidity Repeater Specifications - Installation and Operating Instructions 418 MHz OR 900 MHz EXTENDED ANTENNA 1-9/32 [32.51] 2-31/32 [75.38] STANDARD 900 MHz ANTENNA 2-3/4 [69.85] 3-7/8 [98.31] WM-PSX (SURFACE MOUNT MODELS) The Series WM-P Wireless Repeaters are designed to work with Series WHP and Series WTP wireless humidity and temperature sensors and Series WM 900 MHz receivers. The repeaters accept the 418 MHz signal from the transmitting device and converts it to a 900 MHz signal to send to the receiver. Repeaters are used in applications where the normal 100 foot wireless sensor range is not enough. They can expand the measurement range of the wireless sensors to more than 1000 feet. SPECIFICATIONS Supply Voltages: 9 to 15 VDC. Power Consumption: 150 mA max. Outputs: 900 MHz @ 100 mW. Temperature Limits: 32 to 140°F (0 to 60°C). Humidity Limits: 5 to 95% (non-condensing). Housing Material: ABS UL 94V-0 plastic. Weight: 9.1 oz (257 g). Agency Approvals: RoHS. Wireless products are intended for use in U.S. territories, Canada and Mexico only. MOUNTING Mount the repeater within 100 feet (30.5 meters) of the 418 MHz transmitting device. The input antenna (418 MHz) should be mounted to a nonconductive surface or can be left to dangle in the air. Secure the antenna so that no mechanical stress is presented to the repeater. The transmitting antenna (900 MHz) is shipped loose and should be connected by turning the antenna nut onto the repeater’s fitting. The repeater should be within 1000 feet (305 meters) of the 900 MHz receiver. Repeaters can be mounted to a flat surface, snaptrack or 35 mm DIN rail. If securing to a surface, use #4 type screws to secure the repeater. NOTICE If the repeater is mounted inside a metal enclosure, mount the antennas outside of the enclosure. TROUBLESHOOTING Possible Problem Power LED does not light Transmissions not getting through TERMINATIONS The repeater is powered by 9 to 15 VDC. Connect the terminal labeled “-” to the power supply’s ground. Connect the terminal labeled “+” to the positive power supply terminal. ©Copyright 2010 Dwyer Instruments, Inc.
