Feed Tube
Replace the Feed Tube a. Power off and disconnect all power from the antenna.
CAUTION Make sure the antenna is pointed away from the sun whenever the radome is removed. The highgloss reflector can focus sunlight into a narrow beam, generating a significant amount of heat that can cause damage and injury. b. Remove and discard the four #8-32 screws securing the radome to the baseplate (see Figure 1). Carefully lift the radome straight up until clear of the antenna assembly and set it aside in a safe place. Do not place the radome on a hot steel surface – the heat may warp the radome.

d. Remove the wavy spring washer from the old feed tube and place it onto the replacement feed tube. e. Secure the replacement feed tube to the reflector and LNB using four new #8-32 screws (1-1/8" long) (supplied in the kit). Alternate tightening the screws in a cross pattern (just a few turns at a time) to keep the feed tube square to the reflector. f.
Tighten the feed tube screws to 15 in.-lbs of torque.
g. When you are done, make sure the flanges of both the feed tube and the LNB are flush against the reflector. h. Inspect the inside of the antenna to make sure you have not left any tools or debris inside. i.
Reinstall the radome onto the antenna securing it with four new #8-32 screws (7/16" long) (supplied in the kit).
j.
Reconnect power to the antenna.
k. Test the system for normal operation. If there is a problem, contact KVH Technical Support. The replacement procedure is complete!
