September 29, 2015 HT-Bali REPLACING THE BACKREST COVER It is imperative that Human Touch® products are repaired in a manner that ensures product safety and regulatory compliance and that is fully consistent with the practices used during the manufacturing process. Therefore, Human Touch requires that all product repairs are performed using only factory-new parts and in accordance with these repair instructions. Failure to adhere to these instructions voids the product warranty and releases Human Touch from all liability for injury or product damage resulting from the repair. Tools Required: Phillips-head screwdriver, 5/32” (4mm) Allen wrench, paper clip. SERVICE LEVEL: 2 Unzip the cloth NOTE: SAVE ALL REMOVED PARTS FOR USE DURING REASSEMBLY Rear shroud REMOVING THE BACKREST COVER 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Power off the chair, then unplug it. Using a paper clip, unzip the cloth that connects the backrest cover to the rear shroud (Fig.1). Using two hands, pop off the outer shoulder massage panel on both sides of the chair (Fig.2). Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the screw from the top and the bottom of the shoulder massage panel hinge on each side of the chair (Fig.3). On each side of the chair, pull back the backrest pad to expose the shoulder massage release lever, then pull the lever to extend the shoulder massage panel to the widest position, exposing two screws on the inside of the shoulder massage panel (Fig.4). 6. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the two exposed screws on each side of the chair (Fig.4). (Fig.1) Shoulder massage panel (Fig.2) (Fig.3) (Fig.4) 1 7. Using a 5/32” (4mm) Allen wrench, remove the four Allen screws from the rear of the backrest cover (Fig.5). Back cover (Fig.5) INSTALLING THE NEW BACKREST COVER 1. Place the new backrest cover into place, then replace the two inner shoulder massage panel screws on each side. 2. Push the shoulder massage panels inward to secure them in the narrow position. 3. Replace the screws at the top and bottom of the shoulder massage panel hinge on each side. 4. Using two hands, pop the outer shoulder massage panel into place on both sides of the chair. 5. Replace the four Allen screws on the rear of the backrest cover. 6. Close the cloth zipper.
