It is a cheaper, lighter, and a more versatile alternative to Acrylic and MDF. It is often referred to by the trade names of Komacel or Foamex. Foam PVC can be drilled and shaped with ease. Its ability to be thermoformed means that students can vacuum-form and line-bend the material to create their designs. Foam PVC can be joined by a variety of methods.
