The system combines the features of an electronic telephone network with the capabilities of a sound and program distribution system. Optional functions further increase the versatility of the system. Telephonic Features: • Two-way communication between stations. • Normal/Urgent/Emergency calling from staff stations. • Call transfer/call forward/call conference capabilities. • Remote answer. • DTMF push-button dialing telephones. Standard dial and busy tones. Special ring signals on administrative phones annunciate emergency, urgent and normal, outside line calls, and calls waiting. Sound System Features: • Emergency All-Call and Emergency Alarms capture complete system priority. Four alarm tones are available. • Built-in audio program interface. Choose from three program sources and distribute program to any speaker, zones, or all speakers. • • • • • 8 paging zones. Computer interface for remote diagnostics/programming. • Select 3, 4, 5, or 6 Digit Dialing • 911 Dial Prefix • Factory Reset Note: The Emergency Announce Link requires a loudspeaker at the calling location and at the emergency announce station. 4 Station Types and Access Levels Each station port in the Multicom 2000 system is assigned an access level. The access level determines the type of equipment that can be connected to the port, as well as the ability to control different system functions. Staff Station A staff station consists of a loudspeaker and call switch, or a loudspeaker and telephone handset. Staff stations can receive calls from enhanced staff, administrative and outside line stations. Each staff station is programmed to ring one administrative station during "day" hours and one administrative station during "night" hours. The station's access level determines its call-in ability as follows: Level 1 - Can make a normal or emergency call. Level 2 - Can make an urgent or emergency call. Level 3 - Can make an emergency call. Enhanced Staff Station An enhanced staff station consists of a DTMF dialing telephone and loudspeaker. System functions are initiated by pressing designated keys of the telephone dial pad. The access level of the station determines the ability to initiate system functions as follows: Level 4 • Dial an administrative station. • Make an emergency call to a designated administrative station (requires loudspeaker at calling location). • Direct outside line call to Emergency 911. • Turn program material on/off at that location. • Remote answer. • Ring for incoming outside line calls. (If the station is in use, an outside line calling in results in a call-waiting tone over the handset of the called party. The outside line will ring in when the station hangs up.) • Access outside line (must be programmed). • Call forward (Enhanced to Enhanced or Enhanced to Administrative). Level 5 – Level 4 capabilities, plus: • Call any staff or enhanced staff station. • Conference call. (The third party in a conference call or call transfer can be any staff, enhanced staff, administrative or DISA station programmed for outgoing calls.) • Transfer call. Level 6 – Level 5 capabilities, plus: • All-station page (all-call). • Single-zone page. 5 Administrative Station An administrative station consists of a Model MCDS4 administrative telephone and optional loudspeaker. The administrative telephone is equipped with an alphanumeric display panel. The display panel normally shows the numbers and calling status of the first four stations calling in to that particular station (the display can be scrolled to show the numbers of other calling stations). The display also shows the time, day of the week, the current time-signalling schedule, and the call-forward status (if active). System functions are initiated by pressing designated keys of the telephone dial pad. Operation of system functions is assisted by the use of menus which appear on the display panel. The access level of the station determines the ability to initiate system functions as follows: Level 7 • Dial any station. • Direct outside line call to Emergency 911. • Turn program material on/off at that location. • Scroll/Clear/Auto-Dial call-waiting queue. • Conference call. • Transfer call. • Call forward (Administrative to Administrative only). • Assign media functions (optional). • All-station page (all-call). • Emergency all-call page. • Remote answer. • Ring for incoming outside line calls. (If the station is in use, an outside line calling in results in a call-waiting tone over the handset of the called party. The outside line will ring in when the station hangs up.) • Access outside line (must be programmed). Level 8 – Level 7 capabilities, plus: Select program source. Distribute/cancel program. Activate alarm signals. Activate/reset external relay drivers. Single-zone page. • • • • • Level 9 - Level 8 capabilities, plus: • Manually activate tone signals. • Bump/join conversation in progress. • Access the system's Setup and Initialization menu systems and change system parameters. 6 Outside Line Stations An optional feature of the Multicom 2000 system permits connection to outside telephone lines. This feature uses an optional circuit card which provides up to eight outside line station ports. Up to 2 telco cards can be installed in a system for a maximum of 15 outside lines on a fully expanded system. The ability to access the outside lines for the purpose of placing outside calls can be assigned to any enhanced staff or administrative station in the system. This ability can be restricted to making local calls only or unrestricted, permitting local or long-distance calls. There are two programmable levels for outside line stations: Level 10 – The station port will ring a designated "day" or "night" staff, enhanced staff or administrative telephone for outside line calls. Administrative telephones annunciate outside line calls with a special ringing tone. Level 11 – The station port will provide Multicom 2000 system dial tone when accessed from an outside telephone (DISA). This feature can be restricted by a password. • If a password is required, functions available are: Call a station loudspeaker (no preannounce/privacy tone) or station telephone; make all-station & single-zone page (no preannounce/privacy tone); access the Setup menu. • If a password is not required, functions available are: Call a station loudspeaker (preannounce/privacy tone) or station telephone; make all-station & single-zone page (preannounce/privacy tone); remote answer; access the Audio Program menu, Media Assign menu, External Driver menu, and Manual Tone menu. Notes: When an outside line is requested, the system will check to see if the station has any private lines. If no private lines exist, or if none are available, the system will check to see if any outside lines are assigned to ring the calling station. If a line is found and not in use, it will be assigned to the calling station. If no line is found, the system will hunt all outside lines (Outside lines and DISA lines can be both incoming and outgoing or restricted to incoming calls). 7 Operation of Staff Stations Loudspeaker with Call Switch To make a normal call (or urgent call if the station is programmed for Level 2 access), press the call switch. You will hear a tone over the loudspeaker when the call is answered. Speak into the loudspeaker. To make an emergency call, quickly press and release the call switch at least four times. You will hear a tone over the loudspeaker when the call is answered or when the call is transferred to the emergency announce link (if not answered in 15 seconds and the option is activated). Speak into the loudspeaker for help. Loudspeaker with Telephone Handset To make a normal call (or urgent call if the station is programmed for Level 2 access), lift the handset off the hook switch and replace it. You will hear a tone over the loudspeaker when the call is answered. If you want to have a private conversation, lift the handset. The conversation will automatically switch from loudspeaker to handset. To make an emergency call, lift the handset off the hook switch and flash the switch at least four times. Replace the handset on the hook switch. You will hear a tone over the loudspeaker when the call is answered or when the call is transferred to the emergency announce link (if not answered in 15 seconds and the option is enabled). Speak into the loudspeaker for help. Notes: If your station has been programmed as a Level 3 station, a single press of the call switch (or single flash of hook switch) will initiate an emergency call. You will hear a tone over the loudspeaker when the call is answered or when the call is transferred to the emergency announce link within 15 seconds (if this option is enabled). Speak into the loudspeaker for help. In some installations, a station may have two (2) call switches or a handset and call switch (such as a dedicated emergency-call switch). Your training instructor will be able to instruct you as to the use of switches in these configurations. 8 Operation of Enhanced Staff Stations To make a normal call to a loudspeaker, lift the handset and dial the three-digit number of the desired station. Precede this number with the key if you want to call a station telephone instead of the loudspeaker. You will hear a preannounce tone when you are connected to the loudspeaker and a privacy beep every 16 seconds that you don't speak. If you call a telephone, you will hear the ringing tone. To make an emergency call, lift the handset and flash the hook switch at least four times, then replace the handset (or press the dedicated emergency-call switch, if so equipped). You will hear a tone over the loudspeaker when the call is answered or when the call is transferred to the emergency announce link if not answered in 15 seconds (and this option is enabled). Speak into the loudspeaker for help. To make an Emergency 911 Outside Line Call to Outside Emergency Facilities, lift the handset and dial 911. If the station has a display, 911 will then be displayed on the station and the station will be directly connected to outside Emergency Facilities, plus a display notification of the call will be sent to the Administratorʼs station along with the station number that dialed the call. 911 12:05 MON 2 System Functions for Enhanced Staff Stations The chart below lists system functions available to enhanced staff stations, access levels, and dial sequences. Must be programmed for outside line access. 9 Operation of Administrative Stations To call any station loudspeaker, lift the handset and dial the 3-digit architectural number of the desired station. Precede this number with the key if you want to call a station telephone instead of the loudspeaker. The number you are calling will appear on the top line of the display panel as you dial. You will hear a pre-announce tone when you are connected to the loudspeaker and a privacy beep every 16 seconds that you don't speak. If you call a telephone, you will hear the ringing tone. To switch the use of the asterisk so that the preceding number called with an asterisk connects to the loudspeaker and the number alone rings the station, dial . To restore the original functionality of the asterisk key, dial . Queue Operation for Incoming Calls Each administrative telephone is equipped with a display panel which normally shows the time, day of week, and current time signalling schedule: 12:00 MON 2 Time Day-of-Week, Schedule If a normal or urgent call from a staff station is placed, the architectural number of the calling station appears on the top line of the display and the phone rings for 45 seconds. If the call remains unanswered, the number remains on the top line for an additional 60 seconds (during which time, the call can be auto-dialed) and is then placed in the queue according to priority and time Urgent/Normal, older calls first (see illustration below). If an emergency call from a staff or enhanced staff station is placed, the architectural number appears on the top line of the display along with the word HELP. The phone will sound a special ring signal and will continue to ring until the call is answered. If the emergency announce option is activated, the call will be routed to the emergency announce loudspeaker after 15 seconds, however, the administrative phone will continue to ring until the call is answered. Emergency Call Urgent Call Normal Call Normal Call (Arrow indicates additional calls in the queue) 110E 120U 100 105 v HELP 12:00 MON 2 2 An emergency call will interrupt a non-emergency call in progress at the designated administrative telephone. 10 911 Emergency Outside Line Calls 911 Alert Operation Systems with One Administrative Telephone If 911 is dialed from a Staff Station, the architectural number of the calling station appears on the top line of the administrative display along with the phrase ALERT 911. The Alert can be cleared by that administrative telephone by dialing 957. 110E ALERT 911 957 - To Clear If 911 is dialed from the administrator of a system that is programmed with a single adminstrative telephone, there will not be a 911 Alert generated on that administrative telphone. However, the administrative display will indicate that 911 was called. Systems with More Than One Administrative Telephone A system is considered to have more than one administrative telephone if it is programmed with one level 9 station and an additional one or more stations of levels 7, 8, or 9. This can also include wall displays. If 911 is dialed from a Staff Station (such as a classroom), then all the administrative telephones, including any wall displays, will show the 911 Alert. The Alert can be cleared by any of the administrative telephones by dialing 957. If 911 is dialed by one of the administrative telephones in the system, all of the other administrative telephones will receive the 911 Alert. Any administrative telephone that has the 911 Alert displayed can dial 957 to clear the Alert. If the Alert has not been cleared, then the administrative station that originated the 911 call, upon hanging up, will receive the message to dial 957 to clear the Alert. Note: An Emergency 911 Outside Line Call will interrupt an emergency or non-emergency call at the designated administrative station. If 911 is Placed During an All-Call, the administrative telephone that placed the All-Call will be alerted when the All-Call is completed. The other administrative station will be alerted immediately. If the 911 Alert is cancelled prior to completeing the All-Call, the administrative station that placed the All-Call will not receive an Alert. 11 Using Auto-Dial and Scroll to Return Calls You can use the Auto-Dial function to call the station number appearing on the top line of the display panel. Lift the handset and press . The call-waiting queue shifts down one line and the word ADIAL appears on the top line. A small arrow points to the number on the second line and the call is placed. Auto Dial 120 U < 100 105 12:00 MON 2 ADIAL replaces station 120 U on the top line. An arrow points to the station being Auto-Dialed. You can scroll the queue to place any station number on the top line of the display, and then use the auto-dial function to return the call. Lift the handset and press . The display appears as shown below. Press to scroll the queue. (Note: You will be prompted to WAIT for the action of each key press to be completed.) When the desired number appears on the top line of the display, press twice. The word ADIAL and the arrow will appear as above and the call is placed. No station can call forward to an emergency link station. 17 Outside Line The outside line menu will prompt you to wait until you hear dial tone before entering the number. The display will echo the number as you dial. If you have a restricted line, you will be unable to dial more than 10 digits. For the first 30 seconds, the call cannot be transferred nor conferenced. Two outside lines may be joined in a conference call with any station programmed for outside line use. If the station phone hangs up, the outside lines are dropped. - Outside Line Wait For Dial Tone Then Dial # The outside line menu prompts you to wait for dial tone before dialing the number. Media Control Connection to a media station is via 1 of 2 ways. Assignment is made either through the menu or by the station calling the media station architectural number directly. If a connection is made via the menu, only a logical connection is made. The assigned phone must dial or the media station architectural number to connect physically to the media station. A tone will be heard periodically as long as the assigned station is physically connected. The station remains logically connected to the media controller even if the phone is hung up. No other station can connect to a media station that is logically connected to any other station. Once a station is logically connected, dialing or the media station architectural number reconnects to the media station. No commands will be accepted by the media controller from the phone until a physical connection is established. The assigned station can logically disconnect from the media station by dialing (if the confirmation tone is not heard through the handset) and then dialing . Alternately, the logical connection can be cancelled by dialing the menu on the administrative phone, and pressing the delete key while the assignment is displayed. If a media station is reserved, the station dialing the media station will hear a busy signal. 18 Emergency 911 Outside Line Call To access outside 911 Emergency Facilities, dial 911 directly from Multicom 2000. 911 can be dialed from any Multicom telephone that has dialing capabilities and is programmed for Level 4 or higher. Outside line restrictions do not apply when dialing 911. To access 911 facilities you must have an outside telephone line connected to the Multicom 2000 MCTCA port or to the PBX connected to the Multicom. If connecting to an outside line using a PBX, you may be required to use dialing prefixes. Up to 15 dial prefixes, including pauses, can be programmed into Multicom to access a PBX directly. Dialing 911 from Multicom will access the PBX through the MCTCA port, it will then dial the pre-programmed prefixes to access an outside line and automatically dial the 911 digits. - Dial Prefix ,,____________ _ - Space PAUSE = , The PBX programming sequence for the Multicom 2000 911 dialing prefixes are: Dial 9 5 (password) 6 (password) 6 Note: A 2 second delay between digits can be added by pressing the key. Input Level Adjustment 5 Description The Bogen HTA125A and HTA250A Series Power Amplifiers are high performance units. MOSFET technology delivers distortion-free power into reactive loads, such as high-performance loudspeakers or transformers. The amplifiers are thermally protected to prevent damage due to excessive temperatures. The unique self-protecting output stage prevents thermal runaway which is often encountered in conventional amplifiers. The HTA125A supplies 125 watts (HTA250A supplies 250 watts) continuous RMS output at less than 0.5% total harmonic distortion, with a frequency response of ±1 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Electric shutdown circuitry is activated if an overload or short occurs and a front panel OVERLOAD SHUTDOWN LED illuminates. Once the cause has been rectified, the unit automatically resets. The power ON/OFF switch, located on the front panel, illuminates when power is ON. The rear panel contains an Input Level control, Input and Output connections, AC Line Fuse, and an Auxiliary Receptacle. A Low-Cut Filter switch is located internally on the printed circuit board. An input signal of only 500mV is required for full rated output (150mV for low-impedance balanced input with Model TL600 accessory transformer). Input impedances are high-impedance unbalanced and low-impedance balanced (with TL600 accessory transformer). Outputs include 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 25V (combined with 4-ohm output in HTA125A), 25VCT, and 70V. Line-bridging may be achieved with Bogenʼs TL100 accessory (transformer). Installation Rack Mounted Installation Power and Grounding The amplifier is designed for installation in a standard 19” equipment rack. Position the unit in the rack and secure with screws through the amplifier front panel. The AC line cord has a 3-prong plug which should be plugged into a 3-wire grounded, 120V AC, and 60 Hz outlet. It is important to ground the amplifier. NOTE: Before placing the amplifier in a rack, install any accessory transformers required. Auxiliary Power Receptable Ventilation Caution: The front panel ON/OFF switch does not control the auxiliary receptacle. The amplifier generates heat during operation. It must be properly ventilated to prevent excessive temperature rise. If other heatproducing equipment, or several amplifiers have been installed in an enclosed rack or cabinet, you must ensure that there is space above and below the amplifier(s) to allow for passive cooling. It is recommended that the amplifier be installed on the bottom of a rack or above any equipment that does not produce heat. The auxiliary power receptacle on the rear panel is a 3-wire grounded outlet and may be used to supply power to accessory equipment in the sound system. Ensure that the accessory equipment does not require more than 300 watts. Equipment connected to the auxiliary receptacle with a 3-prong line cord will be grounded, providing the amplifier line cord has been properly grounded. Input Connections High-Impedance Input A high-impedance input is provided by two RCA type jacks. An input signal of 500mV is required for full rated output. Low-Impedance Balanced Input Caution: To avoid electric shock, be sure to disconnect AC Power Cord before removing the cover of the amplifier unit. DO NOT perform any function requiring the removal of the cover of the amplifier unless you are qualified to do so. A balanced input, provided at the BAL LO-Z terminal strip, requires the installation of a TL600 line-matching transformer. Remove the top cover of the unit and install the transformer in the socket designated T1 provided on the printed circuit board. An input signal of 150mV is required for full rated output. Input from Another Amplifier The HTA125A/HTA250A amplifiers may be driven from an amplifier that provides a 25V or 70V speaker output. Connect the output of the driver amplifier to the HI-Z INPUT jacks via a resistor network. The resistors shown in Fig. 1 are in addition to the normal loudspeaker load on the output of the driver amplifier. DO NOT perform any function requiring the removal of the cover of the amplifier unless you are qualified to do so. The inputs of two or more amplifiers may be paralleled without loss of gain. To do this, install a TL100 transformer (for up to 6 amplifiers) in the transformer socket designated T1 on the printed circuit board. Connect the signal source to the BAL LO-Z terminal strip on the rear panel. Use the two outside terminals on the input terminal strip and connect the cable shield to the GND terminal. If an unbalanced input is required, connect a jumper wire from the GND terminal to an adjacent input terminal. Output Connections Caution: Follow local electrical codes when connecting amplifier output. Output connections are available on the rear panel terminal strip for 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 25V, 25VCT, and 70V (the 4-ohm output is combined with the 25V tap on the HTA125A). Class 2 wiring is acceptable for output loads. strip are connected using a shorting clip. The shorting clip enables the amplifier output to act as an unbalanced output (one side of the output connected to ground). If desired, the output can be made to be a balanced output with no connection to ground. To balance the output, simply remove the shorting clip. All speaker connections remain the same as above. 25V speaker connections are done in the same manner. Speaker Matching & Power Distribution Hum The HTA125A and HTA250A feature output connectors for 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 25V, 25VCT and 70V speakers. The amplifiers provide outputs for 25V and 70V speakers. 70-volt speaker connections are made between the 70V and COM terminals on the output terminal strip. The COM and GND terminals of the output terminal If the connections between the signal sources and amplifier are incorrect or defective, hum-type interference may occur. Check for proper grounding, broken wires, shields, poor connections, etc. Keep input cables away from speaker cables and away from transformers and AC power lines. Operation Power Overload Shutdown Indicator The power switch applies power to the amplifier; it does not control any associated equipment which may be connected to the auxiliary power receptacle on the rear panel. The POWER SWITCH illuminates when power has been applied to the unit. Electronic shutdown circuitry activates whenever an overload or short occurs on the output of the amplifier. The front panel OVERLOAD SHUTDOWN LED illuminates indicating the discontinuation of power output; once the cause has been determined and rectified, the unit automatically resets. Low-Cut Filter Switch Caution: To avoid electric shock, be sure to disconnect AC Power Cord before removing the cover of the amplifier unit. DO NOT perform any function requiring the removal of the cover of the amplifier unless you are qualified to do so. The Low-Cut Filter Switch designated SW1 is located next to the transformer socket on the printed circuit board and is accessible by removing the top cover of the amplifier. The switch provides 10 dB attenuation at 100 Hz. Input Level Control The input level control, located on the rear panel, adjusts the input signal applied to the amplifier. Turn the adjustable screw clockwise to increase the level. Warning: Many loudspeakers may be damaged if overdriven. Therefore, always begin system setup with the input level control fully counterclockwise and gradually increase the setting to obtain the desired output level. Thermal Cut-Out The amplifier is protected by a thermal cut-out which should not trip under normal conditions. If it trips, check for inadequate ventilation of the unit or overloading. The cut-out will automatically reset after cooling. AC Line Fuse Replace the fuse only with same type rating. If a second fuse blows, do not make any attempt to operate the unit. Consult the Bogen Service Department or an authorized service agency. Module Installation Jumper Selections 1. 2. Turn off all power to the unit. Make all necessary jumper selections. Priority Level* 3. Position module in front of desired module bay opening, making sure that the module is rightside up. 4. Slide module on to card guide rails. Make sure that both the top and bottom guides are engaged. 5. Push the module in to the bay until the faceplate contacts the unit’s chassis. 6. Use the two screws included to secure the module to the unit. WARNING: Turn off power to unit and make all jumper selections before installing module in unit. This module can respond to 4 different levels of priority. Priority 1 is the highest priority. It mutes modules with lower priorities and is never muted. Priority 2 can be muted by Priority 1 modules and mutes modules set for 3 or 4. Priority 3 is muted by either Priority 1 or 2 modules and mutes priority 4 modules. Priority 4 modules are muted by all higher priority modules. * The number of priority levels available is determined by the amplifier in which the modules are used. Gating Gating (turning off) of the module's output when insufficient audio is present at the input can be disabled. Detection of audio for the purpose of muting lower priority modules is always active regardless of this jumper setting. Bus Assignment This module can be set to operate in stereo mode, where input A audio is delivered only to the main unit’s A channel, and likewise for the B input. Or, the module can be set to combine the stereo into a mono signal and make it available to all buses within the main unit. Gate - Threshold (Thresh) Gate - Duration (Dur) Controls the minimum necessary input signal level to turn on the module’s output and apply mute signal to the main unit's buses. Clockwise rotation increases the necessary signal level required to produce output and mute lower priority modules. Controls the amount of time the output and mute signal of the module remains applied to the main unit’s buses after the input signal falls below the required minimum signal level (set by the threshold control). Ducking (Duck) Bass & Treble (Treb & Bass) Controls the level of the output signal from the module when it has been requested to mute/gate its’ output. The range is adjustable from no reduction in level to full muting of the output signal. Provides separate controls for Bass and Treble cut and boost. The Bass control affects frequencies below 100 Hz and Treble affects frequencies above 8 kHz. Clockwise rotation provides boost; counterclockwise rotation provides cut. Center position provides no affect. Gain Connections Provides control over the level of input signal that can be applied to the internal signal buses of the main unit. Allows a way to balance the input levels of various devices so that the main unit controls can be set to relatively uniform or optimum levels. Uses standard RCA connectors to make connections to the module’s input. The inputs are quasi-balanced to reduce the chance of ground loops while still being compatible with unbalanced signal sources. When assigned to separate buses, the "A" labeled input will feed signal to all "A" labeled controls and output on the main unit. Likewise for the "B" labeled controls. Place the mounting base flush on the mounting surface and mark the location of the three holes with either a marker or chisel. It is important that the three holes be exactly aligned with the mounting base, otherwise you might stress the base or make the connection unsteady. Use appropriate hardware for your specific mounting surface. NOTE: Speaker may also be strap-mounted through the slot in mounting base using standard 1/2-inch industrial strapping (not included). STEP 2 - After mounting the base, reattach the speaker and aim the speaker for the desired coverage angle. A 45° downward angle is recommended, but this may vary depending upon speaker layout. Unless otherwise indicated, do not aim speakers directly at each other or poor paging intelligibility may occur. Figure 1. Strip the ends of the connecting wires about 1/4" and connect them to the terminals.The terminals are numbered to indicate phasing. Provide cable strain relief by laying the cables within the recess on the casting and holding it tight with the plastic cover.The narrow recess is for zip or two-conductor cable; the wide recess is for shielded cable. Use a clean, dry cloth. < Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference. DO NOT MOVE THE UNIT DURING PLAYBACK During playback, the disc rotates at high speed. Do NOT lift or move the unit during playback. Doing so may damage the disc or the unit. WHEN MOVING THIS UNIT When changing places of installation or packing the unit for moving, be sure to remove the disc and return the disc tray to its closed position in the player. Then, press the power switch to turn the power off, and disconnect the power cord. Moving this unit with the disc loaded may result in damage to this unit. Beware of condensation When the unit (or a disc) is moved from a cold to a warm place, or used after a sudden temperature change, there is a danger of condensation; vapor in the air could condense on the internal mechanism, making correct operation impossible. To prevent this, or if this occurs, leave the unit for one or two hours with the power turned on. Then the unit will stabilize at the temperature of its surroundings. Maintenance If the surface of the unit gets dirty, wipe with a soft cloth or use diluted neutral cleaning liquid. Be sure to remove any fluid completely. Do not use thinner, benzine or alcohol as they may damage the surface of the unit. 4 Discs Discs which can be played on this unit: • Conventional audio CDs bearing the COMPACT DISC DIGITAL AUDIO logo on the label: < Printable CD-R and CD-RW discs aren’t recommended, as the label side might be sticky and damage the unit. < Do not stick papers or protective sheets on the discs and do not use any protective coating spray. • Properly finalized CD-R and CD-RW discs • MP3 CDs Note: < Depending on the quality of the disc and/or the condition of the recording, some CD-R/CD-RW discs may not be playable. < Always place the disc on the disc tray with the label side up. (Compact discs can be played or recorded only on one side.) < Never use a stabilizer. Using commercially available CD stabilizers with this unit will damage the mechanisms and cause them to malfunction. < Do not use CDs with an irregular shape (octagonal, heart shaped, business card size, etc.). CDs of this sort can damage the unit: ENGLISH < Copy-protected discs and other discs that do not conform to the CD standard may not play back correctly in this player. If you use such discs in this unit, TEAC Corporation and its subsidiaries cannot be responsible for any consequences or guarantee the quality of reproduction. If you experience problems with such non-standard discs, you should contact the producers of the disc. < Use a soft oil-based felt-tipped pen to write the information on the label side. Never use a ball-point or hard-tipped pen, as this may cause damage to the recorded side. < If you are in any doubt as to the care and handling of a CDR/CD-RW disc, read the precautions supplied with the disc, or contact the disc manufacturer directly. < To remove a disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges. MP3 files < This unit can play MP3 files recorded on a CD-R or CD-RW. How to remove the disc How to hold the disc < Should the disc become dirty, wipe the surface radially (from the center hole outward towards the outer edge) with a soft, dry cloth: < File names of MP3 should be alphanumeric characters. This unit cannot display symbols and full-size or double-byte characters (such as Japanese, Chinese, etc.) correctly. Also, be sure to use the file extension. (“.mp3”) < MP3 files are monaural or stereo MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 format. This unit can play MP3 files with sampling frequency 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz, bit-rate 320 kbps or less. < Never use such chemicals as record sprays, antistatic sprays or fluid, benzine or thinner to clean the discs. Such chemicals will do irreparable damage to the disc’s plastic surface. < Discs should be returned to their cases after use to avoid dust and scratches that could cause the laser pickup to “skip.” < Do not expose discs to direct sunlight or high humidity and temperature for extended periods. Long exposure to high temperatures will warp the disc. < The disc must be finalized in order to play. < The CD-ROM must be ISO 9660 compatible. < When more than 512 files (including folders) are recorded on the disc, the unit might not be able to play it correctly. < When a MP3 disc is loaded, it may take several minutes until the unit can start to play depending on the numbers of recorded files or the complexity of the folder tree. < Do not play any disc that is warped, deformed or damaged. Playing such discs may cause irreparable harm to the playing mechanisms. < CD-R and CD-RW discs are more sensitive to the effects of heat and ultraviolet rays than ordinary CDs. N SEARCH (m/,) During playback, use these buttons to search the part you want to listen to. < Even if the remote control unit is operated within the effective range, remote control operation may be impossible if there are any obstacles between the unit and the remote control. < If the remote control unit is operated near other appliances which generate infrared rays, or if other remote control devices using infrared rays are used near the unit, it may operate incorrectly. Conversely, the other appliances may operate incorrectly. ENGLISH O SHUFFLE The provided Remote Control Unit allows the unit to be operated from a distance. When operating the remote control unit, point it towards the REMOTE SENSOR on the front panel of the unit. Battery Installation Use this button for shuffle playback. P TIME During playback, use this button to change the time display. Q REPEAT Use this button to select repeat modes. R INTRO CHECK Use this button to start the intro check playing. 1. Remove the battery compartment cover. S PROGRAM CHECK Use this button to check programed contents. T CLEAR Use this button to clear a program. 2. Insert two “AA” dry batteries. Make sure that the batteries are inserted with their positive “+” and negative “_” poles positioned correctly. 3. Close the cover. U SKIP (.//) Use these buttons to skip tracks. Battery Replacement If the distance required between the remote control unit and main unit decreases, the batteries are exhausted. In this case replace the batteries with new ones. Precautions concerning batteries < Be sure to insert the batteries with correct positive “+” and negative “_” polarities. < Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together. < Rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries can be used. Refer to the precautions on their labels. < When the remote control unit is not to be used for a long time (more than a month), remove the batteries from the remote control unit to prevent them from leaking. To prevent hum and noise, avoid bundling the signal interconnection cables together with the AC power cord or speaker cables. B LINE OUT jack A DIGITAL OUT terminal C AC Power Cord Connect the digital output terminal to the digital input terminal of a digital device such as a CD recorder, MD deck, etc. Use a commercially-available optical or coaxial digital cable. < Keep the supplied cap to cover the optical digital terminal when it is not in use. 8 Analog 2-channel audio signal is output from this jack. Connect this jack to the CD input jack of the amplifier with an RCA cable. Make sure to connect : white plug q white jack (L: left channel) red plug q red jack (R: right channel) After all other connections are complete, connect the plug to the AC wall socket. Be sure to connect the power cord to an AC outlet which supplies the correct voltage. Grasp the plug, not the cord when plugging or unplugging the power cord. When the unit detects no disc on the tray, the disc number will go out. < Do not touch the carousel while it is rotating. < The disc must be loaded centrally into the disc tray. If the disc is not correctly loaded, it may not be possible to open the tray again once it has closed, so you should ensure the disc is always centrally loaded in the tray. < If the disc is CD, the music calendar lights to show the available unplayed tracks. If there are more than 14 tracks on the disc, the track number 1-14 and OVER will light. < Do not force open or close the tray. 9 Playback 2 D Search for a part of a track/file B E DISC NO. F Direct Playback During playback, repeatedly press the SKIP button (.or/) until the desired track/file is found. The selected track/file will be played from the beginning. In the stop or pause mode, press the SKIP button (.or/) repeatedly until the track you want to listen to is found. Press the PLAY button (G) to start playback from the selected track. < When the . button is pressed during playback, the track being played will be played from the beginning. To return to the beginning of the previous track, press the . button twice. < When the / button is pressed during playback of the last track of the disc, the first track of same disc will be played. When the . button is pressed twice during playback of the first track of the disc, the last track of the same disc will be played. < During programed playback, the next or previous track in the program is played. 10 During stop or playback of CD, you can use the numeric buttons of the remote control to select tracks/files. Press the numeric buttons to select a track/file, then press the PLAY (G) button. Playback starts from the selected track/file. For instance, to select track number 35, press “3” and “5”. < Direct Playback do not work with MP3 discs. When you want to select a file, use the SKIP buttons (.//). Repeat Playback Shuffle Playback Each time the REPEAT button is pressed, the mode is changed as follows: Shuffle mode turns on/off by pressing the SHUFFLE button. REPEAT ONE (OFF) REPEAT ALL All tracks or files of all discs will be played repeatedly. REPEAT ONE The track/file being played will be played repeatedly. If you select another track/file in REPEAT ONE mode, the track/file selected will be played repeatedly. During shuffle mode, SHUFFLE indicator lights. In shuffle mode the tracks/files of the disc are played randomly. When all tracks/files of a disc have been played once, the next disc will shuffle play. The unit will stop when all discs have been played. ENGLISH REPEAT ALL < If you press the / button during shuffle playback, next track/file will be randomly selected and played. If you press the . button, the currently played track/file will be played from the beginning. In any other cases, one and the same track/file is not replayed. < The numeric buttons does not work during shuffle playback. < During programed playback, if the REPEAT button is pressed, the programed contents will be played repeatedly. < If both the INTRO CHECK and REPEAT buttons are pressed, the first 10 seconds of tracks/files will be played repeatedly. < If both the SHUFFLE and REPEAT buttons are pressed, the disc shuffle play will start. When all tracks/files of a disc have been played once, the next disc will start playing. All tracks/files on all discs are thus continuously shuffle played. < If the INTRO CHECK, REPEAT and SHUFFLE buttons are all pressed, the first 10 seconds of tracks/files are shuffle played. When shuffle intro play of a disc is once over, the next disc will start playing. The first 10 seconds of all tracks/files on all discs are thus continuously shuffle played. < If tracks/files are programed, the SHUFFLE button does not work. < If both the SHUFFLE and REPEAT buttons are pressed, the disc shuffle play will start. When all tracks/files of a disc has been played once, the next disc will start playing. All tracks/files on all discs are thus continuously shuffle played. < If the INTRO CHECK, REPEAT and SHUFFLE buttons are all pressed, the first 10 seconds of tracks/files are shuffle played. When shuffle intro play of a disc is once over, the next disc will start playing. The 10 seconds of all tracks/files on all discs are thus continuously shuffle played. 11 Programed Playback 2 3 1 4 < Before you press the numeric buttons, “A” is displayed instead of the track/file number. If you press the PROGRAM button without pressing the numeric buttons, you can program a whole disc. 5 4 Press the PROGRAM button to enter your selection. < Up to 32 tracks can be programed in the desired order. < If the shuffle mode is on, the PROGRAM button does not work. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to program more tracks/files. < If you made a mistake, press the CLEAR button. The last programed number will be deleted. < Up to 32 tracks/files can be programed. 1 Press the PROGRAM button in the stop mode. 5 When programing has been finished, press the PLAY button to start programed playback. “PROGRAM” lights on the display. 2 If you want to select a track/file in another disc, press the corresponding DISC NO. button (1-5). When playback of all the programed tracks has finished, or if one of the following buttons is pressed, the programed playback stops: STOP, OPEN/CLOSE 3 Press the numeric button to select a track or file. But the programed contents aren’t lost. You can return to the programed playback by pressing the PLAY button. < If the power is turned off, the programed contents will be erased. < When in the program mode, the following buttons don’t work: SHUFFLE, DISC NO., DISC SKIP To check the programed order track/file number disc number program number You can also use the SKIP buttons (.//) to select a track. < If the unit has not yet detected the contents of the disc, you can not enter 3-digit numbers with the numeric buttons. In this case use the SKIP buttons (.//). < You can not also enter numbers other than those detected as specifying tracks/files in the disc. 12 In the stop mode, press the PROGRAM CHECK button repeatedly. The track and program numbers will be shown on the display. Intro Check To add a track/file to the program Intro check mode turns on/off by pressing the INTRO CHECK button In intro check mode, INTRO indicator lights. During playback the first 10seconds of the tracks/files are played. When all tracks/files have been played once, the unit will stop playback. < If “A” is displayed in the middle of the program, it means a whole disc is programed. < If you want to rewrite a track/file, press the PROGRAM CHECK button repeatedly until the program number which you want to rewrite appears on the display. Then select a new track/file. < If the INTRO CHECK, REPEAT and SHUFFLE buttons are all pressed, the first 10 seconds of tracks/files are shuffle played. When shuffle intro play of a disc is once over, the next disc will start playing. The 10 seconds of all tracks/files on all discs are thus continuously shuffle played. To delete a track/file from the program < During programed playback, if the INTRO CHECK button is pressed, the first 10 seconds of the tracks/files will be played in a programed order. ENGLISH If you want to add a track/file to the end of the program, press the PROGRAM CHECK button repeatedly until “A” appears after the end of the program. Then select a track/file number using the numeric buttons and press the PROGRAM button. The track/file is added to the program. In the stop mode, press the PROGRAM CHECK button repeatedly until the program number to be deleted appears on the display, then press the CLEAR button. The selected track/file is deleted from the program. NE PAS soulever ou déplacer l'appareil en cours d'utilisation, ceci risquant de détériorer disque ou l'appareil. ATTENTION < N’exposez pas l’appareil à des éclaboussures ou à des gouttes d’eau. < Ne posez pas d’objet contenant du liquide, tel qu’un vase, sur l’appareil. POUR DEPLACER L'APPAREIL Pour déplacer l'appareil ou le remballer avant de le déplacer, veiller à retirer le disque et à remettre le plateau porte-disque dans sa position d'origine. Puis, appuyer sur l'interrupteur principal pour éteindre l'appareil et débrancher le cordon d'alimentation. Si vous déplacez l'appareil, alors qu'un disque est dans l'appareil, celui-ci risque d'être abîmé. Risque de condensation < N’installez pas cet appareil dans un espace confiné, dépourvu de ventilation, comme par exemple une bibliothèque ou similaire. < L’appareil tire un courant nominal de veille de la prise secteur, avec son interrupteur POWER en position OFF. < L’appareil doit être placé suffisamment près de la prise secteur pour que vous puissiez à tout moment saisir la fiche du cordon d’alimentation. < Un appareil de classe ! doit être connecté à une prise secteur via une fiche avec mise à la terre. < Les batteries (ou le pack de batteries ou les batteries chargées) ne devront pas être exposées à la chaleur excessive telle que le soleil, le feu ou analogues. 16 En cas de déplacement de l'appareil (ou d'un disque) d'un endroit froid vers un endroit chaud, ou en cas d'utilisation après un changement de température brutale, il y a un risque de condensation. La vapeur contenue dans l'air peut se condenser sur le mécanisme interne et affecter le bon fonctionnement de l'appareil. Pour éviter ceci, ou au cas où cela venait à se produire, laisser l'appareil sous tension pendant une heure ou deux. Ceci lui permettra de se stabiliser à la température ambiante. Entretien Si la surface de l’appareil est sale, nettoyez-la avec un chiffon doux ou utilisez une solution diluée de savon doux. Veillez à ce qu’il ne reste pas de produit sur l’appareil. N’utilisez jamais de diluant, de benzène ou d’alcool, ceux-ci risquant d’endommager la surface de l’appareil. Disques Disques lisibles par cet appareil: • CD audio conventionnels portant le logo COMPACT DISC DIGITAL AUDIO: • CD-R et CD-RW correctement finalisés • CD de MP3 Note: < Selon la qualité du disque et/ou les conditions de la gravure, certains CD-R/CD-RW peuvent ne pas être lisibles. < Les disques protégés contre la copie et les disques ne se conformant pas au standard CD peuvent ne pas être lus correctement par cet appareil. Si vous utilisez de tels disques dans cet appareil, TEAC Corporation et ses filiales ne peuvent être tenus pour responsables d’aucune conséquence et ne garantissent pas la qualité de reproduction. Si vous rencontrez des problèmes avec de tels disques non standards, vous devez contacter les fabricants du disque. Comment sortir le disque < En cas de doute sur l’entretien et le maniement d’un CDR/CD-RW, lisez les précautions données avec le disque, ou contactez directement le fabricant du disque. FRANÇAIS < Placez toujours le disque dans le lecteur avec ses inscriptions sur le dessus. (Les Compact Discs ne peuvent être lus ou enregistrés que sur une face.) < Pour retirer un disque de son boîtier, appuyez sur la rosace au centre du boîtier et sortez le disque, en le tenant soigneusement par la tranche. < Les CD-R et CD-RW imprimables ne sont pas recommandés car la face avec étiquette peut être collante et risque d’endommager l’appareil. < Ne collez pas de papiers ou de feuillets de protection sur les disques et n’employez aucune bombe diffusant un revêtement protecteur. < Utilisez un stylo feutre doux à base d’huile pour inscrire les informations du côté inscriptible. N’utilisez jamais de stylo bille ou à pointe dure car cela pourrait endommager la face enregistrée. < N’employez jamais de stabilisateurs. L’emploi dans cet appareil de stabilisateurs de CD disponibles dans le commerce endommagera les mécanismes et conduira à leur mauvais fonctionnement. < N’employez pas de CD de forme particulière (octogonal, en forme de cœur, de taille carte de visite, etc.). Ce type de CD peut endommager l’appareil: Comment tenir le disque < En cas de salissure du disque, essuyez la surface de façon radiale (du trou central vers l’extérieur) avec un chiffon sec et doux: < N’employez jamais de produits chimiques comme des bombes pour disque, des bombes ou liquides antistatiques, de la benzine ou du diluant pour nettoyer les disques. Ils causeraient des dommages irréparables à la surface plastique du disque. < Les disques doivent être remis dans leur boîtier après usage pour éviter la poussière et les rayures qui pourraient causer des “sauts” du capteur laser. < N’exposez pas les disques directement au soleil ou à une humidité et température élevées durant des périodes prolongées. Une longue exposition à de fortes températures fera se gondoler le disque. < Ne faites pas reproduire un disque gondolé, déformé ou endommagé. Faire reproduire de tels disques peut causer des dommages irréparables aux mécanismes de lecture. < Les CD-R et CD-RW sont plus sensibles aux effets de la chaleur et des rayons ultraviolets que les CD ordinaires. Il est important de ne pas les conserver dans un lieu soumis directement aux rayons du soleil, et de les tenir éloignés de sources de chaleur comme des radiateurs ou des appareils électriques producteurs de chaleur. fisches MP3 < Cet appareil peut reproduire les fichiers MP3 enregistrés sur un CD-R ou CD-RW. < Les noms des fichiers MP3 doivent être composés de caractères alphanumériques. Cet appareil ne peut pas afficher correctement les symboles et les caractères grand format ou à deux octets (tels que les caractères japonais, chinois, etc.). Assurez-vous aussi d’utiliser l’extension de fichier correct. (“.mp3”) < Les fichiers MP3 sont au format MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 mono ou stéréo. N SEARCH (m/,) < Même si le boîtier de télécommande est activé dans la zone de fonctionnement, la commande à distance peut être impossible s’il y a des obstacles entre le lecteur et le boîtier de télécommande. < Si le boîtier de télécommande fonctionne dans le voisinage d’autres appareils générant des rayons infrarouges, ou si d’autres télécommandes utilisant des rayons infrarouges sont utilisées près du lecteur, le lecteur peut de ne pas bien fonctionner. Mise en place des piles Pendant la lecture, utilisez ces touches pour rechercher le passage que vous souhaitez écouter. O SHUFFLE FRANÇAIS Utilisez cette touche pour la lecture aléatoire. P TIME Pendant la lecture, utilisez cette touche pour changer l’affichage de l’heure. 1. Retirer le couvercle du compartiment des piles. Q REPEAT Utilisez cette touche pour sélectionner le mode de répétition. R INTRO CHECK Utilisez cette touche pour écouter les intro des plages. S PROGRAM CHECK Utilisez cette touche pour vérifier le contenu programmé. T CLEAR Utilisez cette touche pour annuler un programme. 2. Introduire deux piles “AA”. S’assurer que les piles sont correctement mises en respectant les polarités plus + et moins _. 3. Fermer le couvercle jusqu’au déclic. Remplacement des piles Si vous remarquez que la distance entre le boîtier de télécommande et le lecteur devient plus courte pour un fonctionnement correct, ceci indique que les piles sont usées. Dans ce cas, remplacer les piles par des nouvelles. U SKIP (.//) Utilisez ces touches pour sauter des plages Précautions à observer concernant les piles < Bien placer les piles en respectant les polarités plus + et moins _. < Utiliser des piles du même type. Ne jamais essayer d’utiliser des types de pile différents ensemble. < Des piles rechargeables ou non peuvent être utilisées. Se référer à leurs étiquettes pour les précautions à respecter. < Si le boîtier de télécommande n’est pas utilisé pendant une longue période (plus d’un mois), retirer les piles du boîtier de télécommande pour éviter des fuites de pile. Quand aucun disque n'est détecté, l'affichage du numéro de disque s'éteindra. < Le disque doit être centré dans le tiroir. Si le disque n’est pas correctement positionné, le tiroir risque de ne pas pouvoir s’ouvrir après s’être refermé, aussi devez vous vous assurer que le disque est bien placé au centre dans le tiroir. < Quand un CD audio est chargé, le calendrier musique s'allume pour montrer les plages pas encore mises en lecture. Si le disque comporte plus de 14 plages, les numéros de disque 1 à 14 et le témoin OVER s'allument. < Ne forcez pas en ouvrant ou en fermant le tiroir. 21 Lecture 2 D Recherche d’un passage donné sur une plage ou un B E DISC NO. fichier Pendant la lecture du disque, maintenez pressée la touche . ou / puis relâchez-la quand vous avez atteint le passage que vous souhaitez écouter. Quand on appui sur la touche . durant la lecture de la premiere plage du disque, la deniere plage du même disque se met en lecture. < En lecture programmée, c’est la plage programmé suivant ou précédant qui est lu. 22 Durant l'arrêt ou la lecture d'un CD, il vous est loisible d'employer les touches numériques de la télécommande pour sélectionner des plages ou des fichiers. Après avoir sélectionné une plage ou un fichier au moyent des touches numériques, appuyez sur la touche PLAY (G). La lecture commencera à partir de la plage ou du fichier sélectionné. Par exemple pour sélectionner la plage ou le fichier 35, appuyer sur “3” puis sur “5”. < La lecture directe n'est pas disponible avec les diques MP3. Utilisez les touches SKIP (. // ) pour vous accéder directement à un fichier. Lorsque toutes les plages ou tous les fichiers du disque ont été reproduits dans une séquence aléatoire, le prochain disque se met en lecture. Toutes les plages ou tous les fichiers des tous les disques sont ainsi reprduits continuellement et de façon aléatoire. < A l'appui sur les touches INTRO CHECK, REPEAT et SHUFFLE, les premières 10 secondes des plages ou des fichiers sont reproduits de façon aléatoire. Si vous sélectionner une autre plage ou un autre fichier en mode REPEAT ONE, la plage ou le fichier sélectionné est reproduit répétitivement. Le témoin SHUFFLE s'allume en mode aléatoire. En ce mode, les plages ou les fichiers du disque sont reproduits de façon aléatoire. Lorsque toutes les plages ou tous les fichiers d'un disque ont été reproduits une fois, le prochain disque se met en lecture aléatoire. L'appareil s'arrête lorsque tous les disques ont été reproduits. < A l'appui sur la touche / durant la lecture aléatoire, la prochaine plage ou le prochain fichier est sélectionné aléatoirement et se met en lecture. A l'appui sur la touche ., la plage ou le fichier en cours de lecture est reproduit encore à partir du début. Dans tous autres cas on ne peut pas reproduire encore une fois une et la même plage ou un et le même fichier. < Les touches numériques ne marchent pas en lecture aléatoire. < La touche SHUFFLE ne marche pas si des plages ou des fichiers sont programmés. < A l'appui sur les touches SHUFFLE et REPEAT, le disque se met en lecture aéatoire. Lorsque toutes les plages ou tous les fichiers du disque ont été reprduits une fois, le prochain disque se met en lecture aléatoire. Toutes les plages ou tous les fichiers des tous les disques sont ainsi reproduits continuelement et de façon aléatoire. < A l'appui sur les touches INTRO CHECK, REPEAT et SHUFFLE, les premières 10 secondes des plages ou des fichiers sont reproduites dans une séquence aléatoire. Lorsque un disque a été ainsi reproduit une fois, le prochain disque se met en lecture. Les premières 10 secondes des toutes les plages ou des tous les fichiers sont ainsi reproduits continuellement et de façon aléatoire. 23 Lecture programmée 2 3 1 4 < Avant qu'aucune touche numérique ne soit appuyée, “A” est affiché à la place d'un numéro de plage ou de fichier. A l'appui sur la touche PROGRAM sans avoir appuyé sur aucune touche numérique, le disque tout entier est programmé comme une seule plage. 5 4 Appuyez sur la touche PROGRAM pour mettre en mémoire la plage sélectionné. < Jusqu’à 32 plages peuvent être programmés dans l’ordre désiré. < La touche PROGRAM ne marche pas si le mode aléatoire est activé. 1 Appuyez sur la touche PROGRAM en mode stop. Répétez les étapes 2 à 4 pour programmer d'autres plages ou fichiers. < Si vous avez fait une erreur, appuyez sur la touche CLEAR. Le dernier numéro programmé sera effacé. < Vous pouvez programmer jusqu’à 32 plages. 5 Quand la programmation est terminée, appuyez sur la touche PLAY pour lire la liste programmée. “PROGRAM” s’illumine sur l’écran. 2 Si vous voulez sélectionner une plage ou un fichier d'un autre disque, appuyez sur la touche DISC NO. désirée (1 à 5). La lecture programmée reprend à l'appui sur la touche PLAY < Quand l'appreil est mis hors tension, le contenu programmé est perdu. < Les touches suivantes ne marchent pas en mode lecture programmée: SHUFFLE, DISC NO., DISC SKIP Pour vérifier l’order de la liste programmée numéro de disque numéro de plage numéro d’ordre dans la liste programmée On peut aussi utiliser les touches SKIP (.//) pour sélectionner des plages. < Si l'appareil n'a pas encore identifié le contenu du disque, on ne peut pas saisir un chiffre à trois nombres au moyen des touches numériques. Dans ce cas, utilisez les touches SKIP (.//). < On ne peut pas aussi saisir des chiffres autres que ceux détectés comme ayant pour référence les plages ou les fichiers du disque. 24 En mode stop, appuyez sur la touche PROGRAM CHECK plusieurs fois. Le numéro de la plage et son numéro d{order dans la liste programmée s’afficheront. Lecture intro des plages Pour ajouter une plage ou un fichier au programme Pour supprimer une plage ou un fichier du programme Le mode intro des plages s'active ou se désactive à l'appui sur la touche INTRO CHECK. Quand le mode intro des plages est activé, le témoin INTRO s'allume, et les premières 10 secondes des plages ou des fichiers seront reproduites. L'appareil s'arrête quand toutes les plages ou tous les fichiers du disque ont été reproduits une fois. < A l'appui sur les touches INTRO CHECK, REPEAT et SHUFFLE, les premières 10 secondes des plages ou des fichiers sont reproduites dans une séquence aléatoire. Quand un disque a été ainsi reproduit une fois, le prochain disque se met en lecture. Les premières 10 secondes des toutes les plages ou des tous les fichiers sont ainsi reproduits continuellement et de façon aléatoire. FRANÇAIS Pour ajouter une plage ou un fichier à la fin du programme, appuyez sur la touche PROGRAM CHECK répétitivement jusqu'à ce que “A” soit affiché sur l'écran après que la derniere plage programmé aie été affiché. Si se pulsa el botón PROGRAM sin primero pulsar los botones numéricos, el disco entero será programado como una sola pista. 4 Pulse el botón PROGRAM para introducir su seleción. Repita los pasos 2 a 4 para programar otras pistas o otros archivos. < Si comete un error, pulse el botón CLEAR. En la pantalla aparecerán el número de pista/archivo y el número de programa. Verificación de introducciones Para agregar una pista o un archivo al programa Si desea agregar una pista o un archivo al final del programa, pulse el botón PROGRAM CHECK repetidamente hasta que “A” se ilumina después del final del programa. Pues utilice los botones numéricos para seleccionar una pista o un archivo y pulse el botón PROGRAM. La pista o el archivo ha sido programado. < Si un disco entero ha sido programado, “A” se ilimina antes de alcanzar el final del programa. < Si desea substituir una pista o un archivo una vez programado, pulse el botón PROGRAM CHECK repetidamente hasta que el número de programa que desea substituir aparezca en la pantalla.
