INSTALLATION 1. Connect antenna to XL-RFTD module with harness #1. 2. Connect XK module* to XL-RFTD to the white 4 pin connector using harness #2. 3. Follow the XK module* installation instructions to complete installation. (See page 4 for XK01-GMDL5X or page 6 for XK01-GMDL6X, GMDL7X)

STEP 3 : TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING / LED CONFIRMATION
TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING 1. Press and hold the programming button of the XL-RFTD. 2. Press any button on the transmitter to program it to the XL-RFTD. 3. When the LED from the XL-RFTD turns off, release programming button. 4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to program extra transmitters. FOR 2WAY TRANSMITTERS: The 2WAY transmitter will confirm the number of transmitters that are programmed by tone. (1 remote = 1 Beep, 2 remotes = 2 Beeps, etc). Maximum 4 remote can be programmed.

STEP 4 : TRANSMITTER FUNCTION
1WAY TRANSMITTER(S) Fonction de la télécommande A single press of the UNLOCK button will unlock driver’s door. Parking lights will flash and interior dome light illuminates.
A single press of the LOCK button will lock all power doors. A second press of this button within 3 secs. will confirm the LOCK command by a chirp of the vehicle’s horn. A Press & Hold of the LOCK button for more than 3 seconds will also activate PANIC MODE. The horn will sound and parking lights will flash for 30 seconds.
A second press of this button within 3 secs. will unlock all doors.

To remote start the vehicle Press and release the LOCK button on the transmitter, then immediately press the STAR button. The vehicle parking lights will be illuminated to indicate that the engine is running and will run for 10 minutes.
To deactivate this function: - Press again on this button - Waiting for the end of 30 seconds delay - Start vehicle.
To increase engine run time: While the vehicle is running with remote starter, press and release the transmitter LOCK button, then press the start button. This will extend running time for 10 minutes.
To remote stop the engine: Press the STAR button 1 time and release, the engine will stop. The parking lights will flash 2 times to confirm.
The TRUNK button is used to open the power trunk/hatch. Press & Hold this button for 2 seconds; then release. The vehicle’s parking lights will flash 3 times to confirm. (OPTIONAL)

VEHICLE PROGRAMMING - When module is properly connected, press lock or unlock on original transmitter (OEM). (If no transmitter’s available, pulse orange wire to ground.) Module is now programmed.

XK01-GMDL5X - OPTION PROGRAMMING USER SETTINGS: OPTION PROGRAMMING 1-Key “OFF” position, press and hold program button for 2 seconds, LED will flash rapidly for 2 seconds. Release button, LED will show first MODE with slow flash and second will show option with fast flash. 2-To change MODE, push button one time, LED will confirm MODE with slow number of flash. NOTE: ONLY MODE 8 AND 9 ARE AVAILABLE 3-To change OPTION into selected MODE, press LOCK or UNLOCK with remote of alarm or remote starter. LED will show option with fast flash. 4- To save and exit programming, push and hold button until LED flash one time rapidly, showing end of OPTION programming.
USER MODES ARE IDENTIFIED BY A SLOW LED FLASH PATTERN; FOLLOWED BY A FAST FLASH CONFIRMING OPTION. Example: 8 SLOW FLASH = MODE 8, FOLLOWED BY 1 FAST FLASHES = OPTION 1
MODES AND OPTIONS LIST MODE 8 - RESET OPTION *OPTION 1 = No Reset OPTION 2 = Complete reset of OPTION and module (default) MODE 9 - Optional function programming of Pink, Orange and Orange with Pink wires. You now have 10 seconds to program the desired function, (the LED will turn off if delay is longer) 1. Put wire(s) to be programmed to ground (-) 2. Press on the factory remote button which you want to associate to the wire(s). 3. The LED turns off, the procedure is now successful. 4. Take off wire(s) from ground. The function is now programmed. It is possible to program multiple functions on the same wire(s). EXAMPLE: FOR TRUNK RELEASE: it might be required to unlock doors (disarm factory alarm), trunk release and then relock doors (to rearm factory alarm). To program these three functions on the same wire(s), go to step 1 and then repeat step 2 for each of the desired functions, but not exceeding a 1 second delay between each press of the factory remote button function. The functions will be replayed in the same order as they were learned. *Default value
