Rice Cooker CRC-CP281SS SAFETY PRECAUTIONS 1. Read all instructions carefully. Keep this User Manual for future reference. 2. Always unplug the Rice Cooker from the Mains electrical outlet before cleaning it or when not in use. 3. Always attach the power cord to the Rice Cooker BEFORE plugging it to the Mains electrical outlet. To disconnect the Rice Cooker, switch it off first before removing the plug from the mains electrical outlet. 4. This product must not be left unattended while it is connected to the mains supply. 5. Do not operate the Rice Cooker with damaged power cord set or plug. Any repairs should always be done by an experienced technician or by an authorized service center. 6. Always place the Rice Cooker on a flat sturdy surface. When moving it, always be aware not to touch on hot surface or any hot liquid it may contain. 7. Do not immerse appliance or electrical parts into water or any other types of liquid. 8. Use of accessories or equipment not supplied by the manufacturer may result in damages or malfunction on the Rice Cooker or injuries to the user. 9. Do not use the Rice Cooker for reasons other than its intended use. 10. This Rice Cooker is not intended for use by people (including children) who are physically or mentally impaired or lack the experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. HOW TO USE RICE COOKER Use the following as a GUIDE only as the ratio between rice and water change according to the rice grain type and user preference: Note: This appliance is recommended to use from 5 rice cups and above. Measure the amount of rice needed with the measuring cup provided. 2. Put the washed rice into the inner pot and add water as the guideline given. Then, wipe the exterior pot with a clean dry cloth. 3. Close the lid properly. Plug the cord set to the Rice Cooker power inlet and then to the Main electrical outlet. Switch on the Main power supply. 4. Press the Switch Button. The COOK indicator light (red) will light up and the Rice Cooker will commence cooking. 5. Once the rice is cooked, the Rice Cooker will automatically switch to KEEP WARM mode. The KEEP WARM indicator light (green) will light up. 6. For best result, it is recommended that the Keep Warm function is allowed to continue for about 15 minutes before opening the lid to scoop the rice for serving. CARE AND CLEANING BEFORE cleaning the Rice Cooker, ensure that the Mains power supply is switched OFF and the power cord set is removed from the appliance. WAIT until the Rice Cooker is at room temperature before commencing to clean it. 1. The inner pot, rice spoon and lid may be cleaned with mild soapy water using a sponge. 2. Occasionally wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. 3. Wipe surface with a damp cloth and remove any foreign objects in the inner part of the Rice Cooker, on the heater or the center thermostat.
