Termination & Cable Management Cage Nuts, Screws and End Caps 1. Position cage nuts in the side rails where the patch panel will be installed. 2. Place patch panel into position and insert screws.
3. Tighten screws to the required torque. 4. Locate end caps into position by inserting the double pronged end first (toward the centre of the patch panel), followed by the single pronged side, (towards the outer edge) press inward snapping into place.
6. Terminate the cable at the rear of the patch panel, following the termination sequence on the rear of the individual modular jacks. (Clipsal GigaPro or Krone style tools are recommended) Install the cable management tray after completion.
5. To remove end caps: insert screwdriver between the facia panel and the end cap and lever outwards, towards the outer edge of the patch panel. (being careful not to damage the patch panel facia)
7. Install cable management tray, ensuring that it is securely latched by pulling down and towards the middle of the patch panel. 8. Fasten cables with VelcroTM ties, maintain the minimum recommended cable bend radius.
