Overview This specification sheet covers the 19" Rackmount Drawer with Writing Surface for use with data cabinets. It consists of a drawer with a locking top lid that doubles as a writing surface, plus a pair of slide rails that the drawer will slide into the same way a kitchen drawer would. The entire assembly is 19" (48.3 cm) wide and weighs 20 lb. (9.1 kg). The inside of the drawer measures 6.5"H x 15.25"W x 17.5"D (16.5 x 38.7 x 44.5 cm). The outside of the drawer measures 6.6"H x 15.75"W x 18.5"D (16.8 x 40 x 47 cm). Altogether, the assembly occupies 4U of vertical rack space, and can be installed in data cabinets with a maximum front-to-rear rail depth up to 34.5" (87.6 cm). The 19" Rackmount Drawer has handles on both its front and its lid. The key for its lid lock is included. Its slide rails have four “mounting ears”: two at the front (behind the front of the drawer) and two at the back. It is designed to hold books, documents, and writing material; do not place anything in it or on it exceeding its maximum carrying capacity of 50 lb. (22.7 kg). In particular, do not lean heavily on it, and never stand on it under any circumstances. You could damage the drawer and injure yourself.

Installation To mount a Drawer in a cabinet, follow these steps: 1. Adjust the enclosed outer slides to the depth of your cabinet. 2. Place each outer slide individually so that its front ears are flush against the front of the cabinet’s front rails and its rear ears are flush against the cabinet’s rear rails. 3. Align the holes in its mounting ears (four in each ear, eight all together) with an appropriate set of holes in the cabinet’s rails. 4. Secure the slide to the cabinet’s rails using the included mounting hardware. 5. Repeat this process with the other slide, making sure to mount it parallel with the first rail. 6. Finish the installation by sliding the drawer with the attached inner slide into the attached outer slide.
