7311 Room temperature controller 0..10Vdc / MODBUS Room Room temperature controller Power supply : AC/DC 24 Volt Bus interface : MODBUS RTU 0..10Vdc, PWM, 3P Supports 0..10Vdc, 3-point and thermic actuators With external T° sensor input With external CO2 sensor input DTM-RUM-LCD With integrated LCD display Description The DTM-RUM-LCD room temperature controller is specifically designed for individual room temperature and zone control applications. These controllers have built-in RS-485 channel for MODBUS communication, but can operate stand-alone as well. As a stand-alone device however some functions may not be available. The thermostats can be connected to any supervisory software/system that supports MODBUS RTU. The DTM-RUM-LCD has built-in display and unique touch sensitive buttons for adjusting the user parameters and to configure the controller. The DTM-RUM-LCD thermostat supports 0..10Vdc actuators, 3-point controlled actuators and thermic actuators. One of the thermostat 0..10Vdc outputs can be configured for fan speed control via relay module (T-PD-FCRY3). Temperature is detected by the internal sensor of the DTM-RUM-LCD. If an external temperature sensor such as return air sensor or remote room sensor is required, this can be connected to the wiring terminals provided on the thermostat. The external sensor type is NTC10kOhm. day extension button The thermostat has DAY and NIGHT operating modes. When in the NIGHT mode the controller can be overridden to the DAY mode via a hardware input, by touching day extension button or over the MODBUS network. The thermostat has also a CO2 measurement input for boosting the ventilation (fan speed) in case of high CO2 level in the room space. There are four (4) touch sensitive buttons on the navigation pad of the controller: 1. Status LED 2. LCD display 3. Setpoint adjustment ‘-‘ 4. Setpoint adjustment ‘+’ 5. Day extension button 6. The controller is configured locally via the configuration mode, or using the DTMRUM-LCD Handheld Configuration Tool (DTM-RUM-SER). The DTM-RUM-LCD handheld tool allows quick configuration of a large number of controllers. To configure the controller locally, first remove the top cover. A CONFIGURATION MODE jumper is located below the LCD display. When the jumper is set the controller is in normal operation. By removing the jumper the controller enters to the configuration mode. Once the configuration has been completed, by setting the jumper the controller returns to the normal operation. NOTE! The controller is supplied with the configuration jumper unset i.e. in the configuration mode. 1. Wiring terminals 2. CONFIGURATION MODE jumper • set = User mode • removed = Programming mode 3. MODBUS enable jumpers • both on = on the bus • both off = off the bus 4. Socket for handheld configuration tool 5. Bus termination (120 Ohm) 6. External sensor terminals. Access when display is removed. www.belparts.com energetx product datasheet 7.311 page 3 13 7 All rights reserved © 2007-2012 BELPARTS NV 03/2012 EN 12v1.01 Subject to changes without prior notice. 7311 Menu 7 www.belparts.com energetx product datasheet 7.311 page 4 13 7311 Operating modes DTM-RUM-LCD can be switched between DAY and NIGHT modes. NIGHT mode is only possibly to enable via MODBUS. Changeover from NIGHT to DAY: Via the DAY EXTENSION input typically connected to PIR. The user can also change NIGHT mode to DAY mode by pressing “MAN IN THE HOUSE” (occupancy) button on the navigation pad. After 2-hours (adjustable) DAY mode returns automatically back to the NIGHT mode. It is possible to set the unit permanently to DAY mode via MODBUS. When in DAY mode the controller operates the valve outputs according to the diagram below. The controller DAY setpoint (SP) is deviated according to “User setpoint limits” [±16,0]. Range is limited at the commissioning stage (default ±3°C). If range has been set ± 0 then adjustment causes “DENY” message to display. DTM-RUM-LCD has two operating strategies for NIGHT mode: 1. extended dead zone (NDz) 2. frost guard 1. extended dead zone (NDz) In the DAY mode the temperature is controlled to the setpoint using P/PI-control. The controller has an adjustable dead zone (Dz) between heating and cooling modes. All rights reserved © 2007-2012 BELPARTS NV 03/2012 EN 12v1.01 Subject to changes without prior notice. 7 In the NIGHT mode the temperature is controlled to the setpoint using P/PI-control, but the deadzone around the controller setpoint is extended to NDz value. Therefore during the night time the energy consumption is reduced. Note! It is also possible to set the night deadzone to smaller value than day deadzone. When the controller returns to the DAY MODE from NIGHT, the controller DAY setpoint (SP) can return to the DAY setpoint programmed the previous day, or the DAY SP can be reset to the SPnetwork MODBUS Network Setpoint. This is a configurable option (configuration parameter SP_ND). If no network setpoint is available the value +21°C is used as default. www.belparts.com energetx product datasheet 7.311 page 5 13 7311 2. forst guard In the DAY mode the temperature is controlled to the setpoint using P/PI-control. The controller has an adjustable dead zone (Dz) between heating and cooling modes. The configuration parameter J7 = 1 sets the frost guard (FG) operation during the night time. In NIGHT mode the controller controls to the frost guard (FG) setpoint. If the temperature falls below the NIGHT setpoint, the heating valve is opened and the fan is overridden ‘ON’ (if fan speed control has been enabled). The NIGHT setpoint is adjustable via MODBUS or in the configuration mode. www.belparts.com energetx product datasheet 7.311 page 6 13 7 7311 Fan Speed Control Fan speed control can be enabled during the commissioning (configuration parameter FAN). FAN mode FAN = 0 FAN = 1 FAN = 2 FAN = 3 Operation Fan speed control is NOT IN USE. Output Y2 (0..10Vdc) controls the heating actuator. Fan speed control is controlled when cooling is needed. Fan speed control is controlled when heating is needed. Fan speed control is controlled when cooling or heating is needed. When fan speed control is enabled, the Heating Analogue output is converted to operate as the control signal to the fan speed control relay module, type T-PD-FCRY3. For example when FAN = 2 with T-PD-FCRY3 relay module controls the fan speed output when heating is required: Temp within Dz Temp<
