This document describes the Roomie Serial Cable, which provides serial (RS-232) connectivity to one device. The Roomie Serial Cable is purchased separately from the Roomie Remote Store.

The Roomie Serial Cable has a 3.5mm connector on one end that must attach directly to a Roomie Blaster adapter (Wi-Fi or Ethernet versions). The Roomie Serial Cable cannot be used with the Roomie Triport Cable.

The other end of the Roomie Serial Cable is a 9-pin, male, RS-232 connector that attaches to a female RS-232 connector on the target serial device. Included with the Roomie Serial Cable is a gender changer that allows it to connect to a male RS-232 connector.

To configure a Roomie Serial Cable: 1. Open the Roomie Remote app, edit a room, and tap Add Device.

If Roomie Blaster Settings does not appear on the Edit Device screen, find the IP address of the Roomie Blaster adapter you selected in Step 2, then enter this IP address into the address bar of a web browser on a device on the same Wi-Fi network as the Roomie Blaster adapter.

6. On the page that loads, tap Flex Link Port Configuration.
